-8000 stars. I reported these guys to the Better Business Bureau. I hope more people do the same. Heres my story if you care to listen. I have a convertible sports car and asked them to keep my car in the bays at night so my convertible top would not get slashed or the car broken into. During the time they rebuilt my motor, the police told me the car was broken into twice, and another time the car was backed into and damaged, which Accurate Auto said theyre not responsible for. A lawyer said they are, but if I wanted fair treatment from the shop, I shouldnt push the matter. In hindsight I wish I had, because the fenders still damaged. Very bad customer service. After they charged 8,000, I was told they rebuilt my motor, but they previously tried getting and putting in 3 different motors. The receptionist at the time Julie said one motor was assembled wrong, another was the wrong motor, and the other one blew on them. I believe it was at that time they rebuilt the motor, but I heard so many stories, I have no idea what they did. Julie told me their rebuilt motor came with a 3 year warranty. When I asked for a copy, she said it was "in the system". When I spoke to the owner, he said theyd never issue a 3 year warrant on a used motor. I said you charged me 8,000 bucks, that better not be used. He had no clue what theyd done to my car, which had been in their possession for over 3 months. Well, they did fix some seal under the warranty, but then I had the car in the garage for the winter and when I had an issue the following summer (having hardly driven the car) they would not cover it, saying the 1 year warranty had passed. Of course. Im an AAA member, which is one of the reasons I went there. AAA did not help me and at 8,000, I obviously got no discount. Needless to say, the car never even made it 2 years without the oil pump failing, and now it looks like I need a new motor all over again. I dont think Accurate Auto has a clue, at least not with my car: Nissan 300ZX. As I understand it, everyone who had anything to do with my car has since been fired, Im sure for liabilitys sake. The owner is a cheapskate who overcharges and doesnt give one iota about customers, at least not me. I probably gave them enough money to keep them in business for a year or more. For the shoddy work and treatment I received, I hope these guys get 1,000 1-stars, lose their AAA approval, and quite frankly I hope they go out of business. I hate chop shops that just rip people off. They shouldnt have a license to operate. If you need major work, dont trust these guys. I dont think they know how to rebuild a motor, and clearly dont know how to swap motors either - at least not the crew that serviced my car. If things have changed, thats fine, but I still wouldnt trust the owner. He didnt seem to have hands-on enough to know or care about anything. Rick I think was his name, but I forget. Im not sure the statute of limitations to sue in such a case, but Ive moved on. Im sure theyve wiped me from the books or will deny any wrong-doing someway somehow like theyve done with other negative comments. Of course a company doesnt want to be responsible for anything negative, but they royally screwed me over and I bet the owner laughed all the way to the bank. Total ordeal. Maybe Im that one in a million customer, but my recommendation is find someone else. I will not give them a single star if I dont have to. I guess I do to post.

The WORST experience! I went to Accurate Auto in Beaverton back in January to have my 90K mile service performed on my car, which among other things included replacing my front brakes. The service at this time was mediocre at best as they kept me 30 min past closing while I watched them hurry through the repairs (even though the car was there all day) and then they charged me twice on my bill for the transmission flush. I brought this to their attention and they fixed it, so I was on my way. Several days after this I noticed a soft rattling sound as I pressed on my brakes on a hill. It wasn’t consistent and didn’t happen for a long time following so I chalked it up to the fact that my car is getting older and making strange sounds. Fast forward three months to this last weekend and the rattling noise comes back but this time it’s consistent and loud. I immediately take it in to Les Schwab to have them diagnose the problem. They tell me that the last person to replace my front brakes failed to install 2 caliper bolts that hold the caliper to the strut on the tire!! Les Schwab installs these bolts for me for free and explains to me how negligent it was of Accurate Auto to forget these (or not tighten them properly) and confirms that my car hasn’t been very safe to drive ever since I had my brakes serviced 3 months earlier!!! I go back into Accurate Auto to explain to them the issue and show them the billing statement from Les Schwab so they knew I wasnt making it up. Rick, the owner, told me my warranty was no longer valid because I had another shop perform the replacement. Why would I take it back to the same place who I suspected performed the service wrong to begin with?! I asked him if there was anything they could do for me as they had me driving in an unsafe car the last 3 months. He said flat out there was nothing he could do for me. I could barely stand it at this point, and refused to leave until they took care of me. Finally he offered to reimburse me 50% of the brake total but that doing so was NOT ADMITTING FAULT. This is why I will never go back to Accurate Auto in Beaverton as it was by far the worst customer service, with a negligent staff that will not stand behind their work!!

I am a customer for life and I would love to tell you why. I drive a 2001 Buick Century and she was having trouble accelerating. I am new to the west side of town and did a google search for independent mechanics in my area. I found Accurate Auto and read their reviews. I was shocked by how many good reviews there were! I decided to give them a try. Rick and Gil were helpful in setting up my appointment and got me in the next day. They were very accommodating and also offered to help me get home after I had dropped off my car. I heard from Rick a few hours after I dropped the Buick off and it wasnt good news. I was facing an expensive repair. I had a clogged catalytic converter. A what? My thoughts exactly. I know nothing about cars and Rick was very helpful in his explaination of why exactly a catalytic converter was and what it did. I asked for some time to think about my options. I ended calling my father and asking for his opinion on what to do. He looked into the actual part that was needed and found it for a price less then what was quoted to me. My dad ended up calling Accurate Auto and informed them of the cheaper part. They then took the time to look into it themselves. As it turns out it was from a trusted supplier they had used in the past and they decided to get the part for the lesser price and they passed the savings along to me. The fact that they were so open to looking for a better price and then didnt hesitate to pass the savings to me is why I will return to this business. The auto industry gets a bad rap and these guys are doing an amazing job at disproving that stereotype. I never felt pressured and I never felt like I was getting ripped off. I appreciate the work that they put in to my vehicle and the time they took with me. Oh, and most importantly my car runs great again!
