Ive done business at a number of the Les Schwab tire places primarily Gresham this time it was Forest Grove Ive stopped in Newberg different times and always found the people to be overly friendly and conduct business in a manner in which Les Schwab is notorious at all locations however in this case I had trouble with my truck starting a friend rescued me and jumped me so I was pretty sure my batteries were bad I did check with another company and found two replacement batteries which turned out to be $80 cheaper than Les Schwab but I didnt want to drive all the way into Portland and Ive done enough business with Les Schwab that I felt that the quality of their batteries were probably better than the place that sell the $80 cheaper batteries but I couldnt swear swear that they are cuz I really dont know yet at any rate Les Schwab I pulled up in front of their Forest Grove stores battery Department which sits next to the battery section there was a person in there working there wasnt much activity going on he told me Id have to go inside and check in and so I went in and checked in at the tire section they told me he warned me in advance it would be about an hour before that they can look at my truck they do batteries but not alternators and I got a little irritated but didnt say too much they did inform me in advance that their best truck batteries I needed two would be $333 anyway because you show up unannounced but I thought in the back of my head had I gone to the cheaper place I wouldnt have waited over an hour for them to even check my batteries they would have done that right away and told me whether the battery was good or not and if the charging system was good or not then the wait would begin and that particular place replaces alternators as well as batteries well Les Schwab didnt replace alternators so they wouldnt take the time to do a two-minute diagnostic to confirm my battery was dead before they ever sent me into check in I had to wait for an hour for them yes to confirm my batteries were bad so anyway while I was sitting there being a veteran fumbling my thumbs for an hour trying to keep myself busy on my phone I looked to see if Les Schwab happen to do veteran military discounts I come to find out to my surprise that some of the stores a couple of them at least that I found on Google offer veterans discounts 10% off I brought this to their attention when paying. I think it was the store manager she was very nice as was the other person working behind a counter but she stated they didnt do discounts i pointed out that the South Salem Les Schwab in fact gives a 10% discount so she got on the phone and called them and they confirmed it indeed they do give 10% off, and then she clarified further does that apply towards batteries and they said no only 10 percent off tires. Anyway the thing that got me the most was I bought two sets of tires, 2 full sets of tires from Les Schwab in Grahams Les schwab in the last eight for my truck and my sons snow tires tires. I paid full price for those tires no one ever offered me a 10% discount and that kind of fries me so the moral to the story is I didnt realize all the stores were independently owned but they follow corporate guidelines but if one Les Schwab Tire store gives a veteran military discount they all should. If your a military veteran go to the South Salem store.

I came in today to get my tires rotated every 4,000 miles and because I had a bad wobble at high speeds in my front passenger side tire because of an imbalanced tire which they wouldnt admit from 2 months ago when they removed a nail. I know this because I work at a dealership with a tire shop and everything. On top of Les Schwab not rotating my tires "the one tire was too warn to be safe" which kinda is the reason I came in to get it fixed! So I didnt get anything done and on top of that they bent my brand new spare key. The guy said "oh I got it off of the board like this" "I dont know what happened to the key before I got it". He wouldnt admit to having anything to do with messing up my key. For everyone to know the key was on a lanyard. I knew exactly what happened, he stepped on the lanyard while the key was still in the ignition and bent the key. He only offered to try and straighten the key out, but we all know if you do that the key will probably break off in the ignition in the future. Costing a lot of money for a new ignition. Im so beyond pissed. I live walking distance from this place and I go for convenience. Ive been going here for years, and these last few times Ive gotten bad service, I will no longer going here, theyve lost my business and everyone in my house hold, we own 3 cars. Sincerely, Ex-loyal customer.

When I had my winter tires switched over at Tire Factory to my all seasons purchased from this Les Schwab, Tire Factory stated the tires were no good and needed replaced. The tires only have 10,000 miles on them as I rarely drive this vehicle so I was quite surprised to learn this. I do rotations and such. However, when I took the vehicle to Les Schwab, they stated the tires still had 30% tread left. Well, the car has been shaking at 55mph so I hadnt driven it since. I took it to Discount Tires yesterday to get them inspected and they said the tires have dangerously low tread and this is the cause of the shaking. Les Schwab put my familys life at risk stating the tires still had good tread so they would not have honor the warranty. On another note, I had suspension work done at the same Les Schwab and the parts failed 1-1/2 years later. Royal Moore Nissan said the part quality they use is inferior. I will never use a Les Schwab again. Learn from my mistake - use OEM parts and dont buy tires from them.

I TAKE ALL THAT I SAID BACK...WARNING I NEVER WENT TO ANY LES SCHWAB BEFORE AND BECAUSE OF THIS STORE I HIGHLY HIGHLY WARN ANYONE ELSE NOT TO GO...I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE FOR VEHICLES..BUT SINCE I DID NOT HAVE THE PROPER TOOLS I HAD HELP FROM MY STEPFATHER AND THE EMPLOYEE ERIC...CERTAINLY FOOLED ME. MY ROTORS WERE JUST PERFECTLY FINE AND ON TOP OF TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR NEW ONES SUPPOSEDLY MY BEARINGS NEEDED NEW ONES BUT THEY COME ATTACHED WITH THE ROTORS...EITHER IF ERIC IS NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE OR NOT I WILL NEVER TAKE MY TRUCK TO ANY LES SCHWAB...I CALLED THE MANAGER AND INSTEAD OF HIM APOLOGIZING RIGHT OFF THE BAT, HE WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT WHOM I WAS ...THEY NEED TO BE REPRIMANDED!! ON TOP OF IT THE CALIPERS WERE FINE AS WELL...JUST NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND A RIP OFF..I DONT KNOW HOW THEY CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT KNOWING THAT THEY ARE STEELING A PERSONS HARD EARN MONEY. ALL OF THIS WAS GOING TO COST ME EXACTLY $606.36. SHAME ON THEM.
