I have HomeServe home warranty that covers water supply and drain plumbing failures. We had a leak on our water main in March. Apollo Drain bid for and was awarded the job and from the start there were problems getting HomeServe and Apollo to get approvals when the work crew showed up. We ended up putting in a new supply line which HomeServe paid Apollo $3200. The plumbers that did the work did a very good job. The problem with Apollo is the Billing dept. When I asked for an electronic copy of the work order between HomeServe and Apollo for City requirements, two weeks later I was e-mailed a contract from Apollo wanting "half of the money now and half upon completion"? What? It was like even after accepting the work offer from HomeServe, Apollo seemed to "forget" that HomeServe was the bill to and wanted to always send us a bill. Well, heres the Postscript to this story. Today, October 28th, 2014 I received an invoice dated 3/21/2014 for a $48.00 travel charge, and a notice from a Collection company on behalf of Apollo Drain for $75.00. Here Apollo was paid by HomeServe $3200 for a days work and now 7 months later they send me a bill for $48.00 plus $4.32 interest along with a notice from a collection company. My question to you the people that run Apollo is "What is going on?" The response I got was "the invoices and statements have gone out". Well, I know that! My input was the information on your invoices is wrong. Seems the person I talked to went into a tailspin after that. Since the person I talked to felt that I was cutting her off in our phone conversation but when I gave her the chance to speak and she didnt have anything to say. Well, heres your chance. Also, when your billing person hung up on me I was quietly waiting on the phone thinking she was doing something on her computer and the line goes dead. Is it standard practice at Apollo to hang up on your customers? Since the people at Apollo feel threatened by my phone presence, perhaps they can respond in a public forum where the big, bad customer guy wont be so mean.

On June 6th a technician from Apollo Drain and Plumbing arrived at my elderly mother’s house to fix a clogged drain in her kitchen sink. After the drain was unclogged, the technician grabbed and pulled hard on the sink sprayer handle causing it to leak. My mom was leaving on vacation the next day, she asked what fix could take place. The technician turned the water off under her sink, which stopped the leak but made the sink unusable. When my mother returned, she was not strong enough to turn the water back on in order to judge the severity of the leak caused by the technician. I live in Washington DC, so she asked me to call and have someone from Apollo Drain and Plumbing come out and at least turn her water on. The manager named JJ refused to send someone out without charging my mother $150. I explained that my mother is on a fixed income and can’t afford to pay that much, and is without running water. The manager said that my mother should have watched the technician and made sure he didn’t do anything during the service that would cause a leak. He said that it is MY ELDERLY MOTHER’S FAULT that she does not have water. I am appalled at the business practices of Apollo Drain and Plumbing. I have been in customer service for over 20 years, and have never seen anything like this. They are simply taking advantage of the situation to extort money from someone who now has no choice.

$235 TO A CUT PIPE&RUN HOT WATER!DONT GET RIPPED OFF LIKE I DID!!!!! ***********READ THIS************ We had a froze pipe&the guy came&had to wait 30min for another guy to give his battery a jump so he could use a "jet" to get the ice out even tho this guy thinks its a clog& not ice like i said in the beginning. So when he couldnt get a successful jump to get the motor running he decided to cut our pipe just above the ice so he could run a snake to break it up.after this happens he tells me theres probably ice in there because his snake isnt getting down there&that the only thing we can do is dump hot water down our CLOGGED sink&shower to melt the ice. So he patches the pipe back together&proceeds to run the hot water down the sink&the shower...the whole time the shower& sink is getting full of water. So i told him that i can do this so we dont get charged for him just running water. The guy that came out was a nice guy. They ddnt send a invoice or bill. Just charged it to our landlord. It blows me away that a business would have the odasity to charge ANYONE THAT MUCH for SO LITTLE!!! So in the end I got charged $235 for them to cut a pipe&run hot water that didnt unclogg a damn thing!!!!! I will not EVER use this business again.

My assisted living center had a toilet supply line (before the valve) that cracked and was flooding our first floor public restroom. I called Apollo at around 9:30 am and, being a Saturday with them being booked, the plumber still arrived by 1:30, which surprised me. In addition, the person on the phone I spoke to (her name escapes me now) followed through and kept me informed of the time the plumber would arrive. His name was Beau and I was impressed by his "ready to go" attitude. Beau had no previous experience in our building, but was able to find all the shut-offs in our ceilings and in the boiler room in a short amount of time. He was able to cut the pipe and install a new line and valve, along with a new supply line to the toilet. When done, Beau cleaned everything up and I had little to do when he finished. The bill was more than reasonable and all-in-all he turned a possible disaster into a positive experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Apollo and Beau to ANYONE needing emergency service, or any service for that matter. I have put them on my vendor list and will use them again.

We highly recommend Apollo Drain and Rooter Service for Plumbing. Our main sewer line from the house was blocked and the plumber, Jerry Bales, was polite and cleaned up after himself. He used a truck mount power sprayer at 3500 PSI to clean it out and we are happy to say we dont need a new sewer pipe. But, if we did they are the the only certified installer of the Zero Dig Lateral Liner CIPP System in Oregon. Which is cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) it is one of several trenchless rehabilitation methods used to repair existing pipelines. CIPP is a jointless, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe with the capability to rehabilitate pipes ranging in diameter from 0.1–2.8 meter (4"–110"). I think this is why Micks plumbing recommended them. There was a clog about 50 feet out and it is now clear. I was afraid it would cost us a fortune, but told my hubby that I would be happy if it was 500 bucks. Turns out it was a little more than 1/2 of that amount so we are all around happy, relieved people right now. Great work Apollo! We are now going to be using you for all our plumbing needs.
