Who trusts reviews on line? With 73 positive reviews I was very skeptical of Hair Architects. I made an appointment anyway - on trust. I walked in. "So, are all the reviews from your best friends and relatives?" I asked. Stephen, who was to cut my hair, replied laughing, "our customers like us." I was early, he offered me a glass of wine, a few mags and a seat outside in the sun. ummm...so far, so good. Poor Stephen. He not only had to make me happy with a great cut - but he had to fix what a salon in The Pearl had managed to wreck (for $98.00 BTW). This was my third cut in 3 weeks. I was a tad nervous, My hair couldnt get much shorter! And, I had wanted to grow it. An hour later, I stood from Stephens throne, absolutely thrilled. He had fixed the mess, managed to find me a great style and even though I have curly hair and dont need a blow dry - he did - "just so he can check the cut." I really dont like lots of styling gels and products I dont buy and dont use put on my hair at the salon. I left the salon and instead of wanting to stick my head under water so I could style it "my" way - I was set to go. No heavy pomades, gels and stuff I wouldnt have liked. Stephen not only listened to what my life style was and how I envisioned my hair style - he heard me . . . and did my cut perfectly.

I am not usually someone that gushes about experiences, because I tend to have unreasonably high standards, but this place was way beyond my expectation, much to my surprise! I got the Japanese Hair Straightening Treatment from Paige, and she did AMAZING. I had heard horrible things about it making your hair dry or frizzy, and she even warned me that might happen - especially since I have naturally dry hair - but when I left, my hair was STICK STRAIGHT and SOFT! Exactly the look I wanted!! With this treatment, you have to keep it down and not wet for five days, and I got it last night - the amount of compliments I got on it between then and now is incredible! And of course, I love it! On top of all that, she has great personality and you can tell she really loves what she does. I will DEFINITELY be returning here, and I honestly dont think I could go anywhere else after the amazing job she did!!

I was searching for a new salon after my Hair dresser moved away. It was very hard to trust someone ,especially since i have mixed hair. I looked on citysearch and found Hair Architects and called to talk with them. They were very helpful on the phone and curtious. I made an appointment to have my hair straitened a few days later. I got the japanese straightener. My hair is so soft and silky now. I have had more compliments then ever before. The relaxer i got also last for about 11 months. I hardly do anything to it, even after its washed it goes back to being straight with body. I would recommend this salon to anyone, especially if you have mixed hair, they know there stuff.

Hands-down the best salon Ive ever been to. Ive always anted a pixie-type cut but could NEVER get a hair stylist to give me one for various reasons. Jon not only gave me the perfect short haircut, but he listened to me when I said I DONT like to fuss with my hair (you have no idea how many times my hair cutters have said in response to this: you will like this then, it only requires 15 minutes of work!) and he showed me something I can do that literally takes seconds and also a style I can do when I need to look more put-together and sleek. Very professional and nice interior as well.

Dante has been cutting my hair for about 8 years. She always does a great job! If I want to try a new cut, I just show her a couple of photos of what I have in mind. We chat about it for a few minutes and she goes to work. When shes finished, I walk away with an excellent haircut thats exactly what I wanted. Shes cheerful and friendly - I feel like Im visiting with a friend while Im in the chair! 10/10 would recommend!

Jon used his cross cap on my hair and I LOVE it. Its basically a cap he puts on your head and he pulls wisps of hair through tiny holes. He was able to cut and color my hair in about an hour, and the effect was seamless. My hair looks like Ive been out in the sun, rather than looking colored. I wish everyone knew about this salon, its wonderful :)

Joseph Pearce is a fantastic hair dresser. He has been cutting my hair for 5 years and will as long as I can get to the shop! He takes time, asks questions, listens to your input. He is the best. Thanks, Joseph. .....Bill Blaylock
