This place is where they do hair for people who are low income and on SSD and elderly and on SSI. I called today and talked to a supervisor who I told that my hair looked terrible and that there are three colors going on on my head and that the Dorothy Hamill I told them to cut was nothing but a huge ball of nothingness. I had my hair done on 1/24/2017. I was there almost 5 hours. They colored and cut it. The student that did my hair was 19. She had no clue what a Dorothy Hamill cut was and said she could learn how to do one in less than 5 minutes. My hair now lays in a huge wad of nothingness and will do zip. It has only been 2 weeks and the top of my head is three colors and all grown out and you can plainly see my roots. Today I talked to this supervisor of the Beaverton campus and she said their policy was that you have 3 days and that is it to get a re-do on the color. I work part time 2 days a week and she wanted me to come in to have my hair looked at when my time is very very valuable and I talked to her over 30 minutes telling her what was wrong with my hair. She did not take anything I told her seriously and backed up the girl who was 19 1000%. This supervisor was cold and cruel and callous. Any GOOD BUSINESS has a 30 day policy for returns and not just 72 hours. They are greedy and could care less about me as a customer. I am dirt poor and survive on $333 SSI. This supervisor was not nice and very cold and callous and cruel. I am here to tell you that there is no way in hell that you will ever get any customer service at Northwest College of Beauty because they could care less about you as a customer. They did not give a damn about me. I have spent hundreds of dollars maybe thousands on my hair at many places and have not found a good one yet since 1999. Please save your money and never ever never never ever never ever never ever go to the Beaverton Oregon or any campus of the Northwest College of Beauty because they can screw up and get away with it 100% because you have 72 hours ONLY. This place sucks real real bad~~~~~~~. Please never ever go there or you will be ripped off and talked to a dog on the telephone like I was. I am disabled for the rest of my life and did not deserve to be treated like this. The world is very greedy and will never get better.

I am a big fan of going here for a haircut and color. Yes, theyre all students so theyre learning! I havent been disappointed with what I get done. I have naturally curly hair so that makes it more difficult for certain people. Im planning on going back today. So theres a review on here that I have seen where this person is complaining about how much she hates her hair cut and color and she called the school, talked to a supervisor (teacher?) And now shes saying that she wants a refund for her unhappiness? Yeah, it sucks that you got a horrible haircut and the color isnt the best, but it doesnt work for anyone in the industry to have a 30 day refund policy since hair grows out in 30 days! If your time is so valuable, you should have come down to the school and gotten the answer from the instructor instead of staying on the phone for 30 minutes complaining about it. I can recommend a great hair salon. Thats sucky that you havent found someone who can do your hair since 1999. Adalaide Salon is amazing! Its on Hall off hwy 217. Turn right off exit, first light turn another right. First driveway. Suyapa Scott does the most fantastic things to hair. I adore her, shes been doing my hair for over 30 years! I hope this helps someone.

I have had my hair colored here several times and it has always turned out great. My problem is that the service has been declining. The students are great but the last two times I went for a color they didnt have any color. The first time it happened was weather related and that I get. The second time though had nothing to do with weather. I was also upset that they knew they didnt have any color but didnt bother to call and tell me not to come. I took off work early and fought major traffic to get there on time only to be told they were out of color. The student was awesome and tried to help me find somewhere else. The other problem I have is that the students are always not showing up. I have had 3 appointments cancelled because the students just dont show up. It is very frustrating!

I went to school there. its not sanitary at all. the owners are awful to the students. The teacher talk behind your back. They dont pay the staff enough. They use the students for profit and they add on services so it cost more for the client. we get into trouble for leaving bad reviews. They work us too hard and sometimes we wont have lunch. We pay so much to go to school but we dont know where the money goes because we never had enough product. they dont teach us how to clean up blood properly. :( just be careful if you go there to get a service done or want to go to school there.

Si i had the worst pedicure in my life done there nwc beaverton everything about was not good i could have done a better job if i just painted my toe nails at home and saved my self some money.so the student was super nice but he just did a horrible job and then he couldnt even paint my nails his teacher came and did for him and as a teacher she failled it was a horrible paint job i will never go back.now i know it a school and they are leaning but what blew me away was when the teacher did such a horrible job.

Using my bfs account because i dont have one. I went to get my roots redone i had blonde highlights, first off it took just over 4 hours to do. Second i still left with brassy hair you can clearly tell the area they did. And lastly i still have a half inch grow out right in the front. Only giving 2 stars because the girl was nice through the process and they did say i could come back in the next few days if im dissatisfied. But i dont have the time again. Will be going back to a real salon next time.

Ive been getting haircuts @ Northwest College for almost 4 years and Im always amazed at the talent they receive with the barbering department. Sure, not every student is gifted with cutting hair from the get go, but each one of them holds a element of passion. "LB" is one of those barbers that makes sure you leave happy and feeling great in your own skin. I highly recommend this place for anyone with an open mind that is willing to listen to the students stories.

I had a wonderful appointment with Addie getting microdermabrasion. She was very professional and made me forget that I was in a school. I strongly recommend giving it a try.... Ive already rebooked and signed my mother up. I cant wait to have their facials too. Thanks NW college and Addie.
