We recently moved to Detroit from San Francisco. Westside/Mayflower moved us and stored our furniture as we looked for a place. We were extremely disappointed with the customer service—or the complete lack of customer service. Trying to retrieve our furniture was just one of the disappointing examples of the service we recieved: - We were given the wrong address over the phone for the storage facility. - When we arrived at the correct address (which we had to google and assume was correct) the time our contact, Jessica at Westside, told us was incorrect as well. Our movers had to wait an additional hour and charged us for the time. - We had to pay an additional $280 at the storage facility to release our items, which Jessica later told us was an incorrect charge. - Overall, both her and her manager have been unresponsive to our questions and emails. We had to chase them multiple times. - The lady at the storage center was not particularly favorable towards our Westside contact either. She complained to us about their organization and lack of professionalism. I would avoiding using this company for your move.

Ive moved across country twice in the last 2 years. Once east-bound with ABF U-Pack (hiring separate labor to help load/unload) and once west-bound with Mayflower aka Westside Moving. The full-service Mayflower experience was definitely not worth the extra $1000 in cost. I got the impression that my 2-bedroom apartment move was a low priority for Mayflower. They were 8-hours late on the pick up and noticeably rushed through the unload. I was also surprised at the poor customer service. They never called to confirm that my move went OK (in fact, a few things did break) and have ignored my request for a receipt. If I had to move again, I would definitely opt for ABF again.

Overall, a terrible experience. Movers were poor in their performance and had no desire for customer service. They broke several items valued at well over $800. Was forced to deal with Cindi Crumley about my claim. After providing all the information, including pictures and the item numbers, I was offered a measly $60. The desk that they somehow completely broke was valued at $800. I highly recommend staying away from this company. There are plenty of other good moving and storage services in Portland. Terrible, terrible experience.

The crew at Eastside/Westside Moving are excellent to work with! We refer them to the clients at our residential real estate agency without hesitation. My in-laws recently moved and gave me rave reviews about the care that Jody took in helping them to move across the country. They are professional, careful and timely, which makes them such an asset to our businesses and lives!

AVOID BY ALL MEANS, specially if a BEKINS / ITS GLOBAL move, which resulted in 30+ STOLEN boxes/items and dozens of CRUSHED/BROKEN items inside boxes. Between ITS GLOBAL, BEKINS, and West Side, youre better off leaving your stuff on street, where its free.

I thought that the prices were reasonable, but I believe that out possessions could have been treated with more care. Average.
