My sales rep, Bill Lamon, was fantastic, everyone else not so much! We ran the numbers over the phone before I made the drive out there which is usually difficult to close a deal that way but not with Bill. He actually had left for the day and another rep called him and he actually came back which he did not have to do and we greatly appreciated it. The car was supposed to be ready at a certain time. It was not but we did not even care because they painted the bumper for us and we were not even going to. That is going above and beyond. He is a stellar sales rep. All of my issues are with the title department and those who I reached out to for help. I am from out of state and I have actually bought every car out of state so I am familiar with the process. I went to my DMV and got it inspected and sent the proper paperwork. I was doing a tag transfer from another vehicle and the dealership was reminded of this several times and my wonderful rep Bill even emailed me to say he reminded the title clerk again. My 30 day temp tag expired and still no contact. I reached out and Bill guided me in a direction and eventually I had to resort to calling the title department. All I have to say is they are rude. Not only once but the two times I called with two different people. Come to find out they just kept telling me stories. So now I have an expired temp tag and no registration. Due to the title department being rude I called to speak with a manager and got Jack. I explained the situation. This was a Tuesday. e promised to call me the next day. Guess what, no call. Thursday I walked into my DMV, explained the situation and they called the dealership. He got a story too because I walked out with a temp tag and a paper to do my own tag transfer. At that time I surrendered the tags from the car I traded into the dealership. A week later, ironic that when my DMV calls they suddenly register that car, I get a registration in with a tag transfer for the tags I surrendered. They transferred the wrong tags. I call Jack and he said he thought all was good because he talked to the girls upstairs. The girls upstairs I assume are the title department, clearly they do not know what they are doing. So Jack believed them. Now I am out $35 for a tag retention and additional temp tap. Now I am not upset about the money it is all about the principal. Jack says he is going to handle this himself. I also forgot to mention that the finance department put the wrong year on the paperwork and I had to do all of it again. They also delayed sending the payoff check for my car and I received a bill for 1 late payment and the next payment when I did not even have possession of the vehicle since I traded it in. Bill Lamon was the only good part of my experience. The finance and title department need a revamp and need to learn how to communicate with customers. I am a sales manager and when a customer calls with an issue I take car of it. If it was resolved I still call them back. I should have just contacted Bill since he responded all the time. I figured an issue like this was out of his realm. Once again, if you go there see Bill, just beware of the finance and title department.

INTRO My experience at Sloane Toyota of Glenside, PA was unreservedly pleasant, Rich (our sales rep) was always respectful, never pushy, and took care of us in a way where we were convinced that our concerns in purchasing the right vehicle for us was understood, empathized with, and met as best as Rich could. We felt like we were in good hands and comparatively to other persons in other dealers, in the best of hands. To Rich and Jack (manager), it didnt matter that we were buying a certified pre-owned vehicle as opposed to a new one. They treated my wife and me with professional care. SIMILAR OFFERS AT OTHER DEALERS, TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE After we had spoken with Rich and Jack at Sloane, we took the written quote to a few a other dealers. They offered similar deals, but their attitude of trying to get the most money out of us, the demeanor of "I dont care about you, I care about how much you can give me" just turned my wife and me off to them. It didnt matter that they had comparable deals. It one was closer to us. One dealer even offered $200 less than the quoted price, but we knew that even though up front we would have gotten a slightly better deal, servicing the car at the dealer would be completely unenjoyable and regrettable. WORKING AFTER HOURS Rich and Jack continued to work after hours for us. All the while, I could see that they were tired and wanted to be with family and get some rest. But they made sure that my wife and I knew that they wanted to be there and made sure that we felt comfortable and happy throughout the entire purchase process. After all, we did get a 2012 Toyota Prius and it is a popular car. But they didnt make us feel like we would be easily replaced by other customers throughout the entire process. Even after we signed, they didnt brush us off, but Rich and Jack were friendly, supportive, understanding, and VERY helpful. I felt bad for keeping them. VERY PATIENT & POLITE I came in hopeful, but skeptical. But they never showed any impatience. As an educator of Philly high school students, I know what patience is and I can honestly say that Rich and Jack were positively patient. COURTEOUS INTERNET ETIQUETTE Some dealers, even in their emails they were rude and condescending even. Some dealers sent us too many phone calls and too many emails. Sloane wasnt desperate. They showed welcoming interest in our business, but left all the pressure out of our online/email correspondences. WE WOULD GO BACK FOR OUR 2ND CAR Yes, we would definitely go back for our 2nd car. No reservations about it. (Maybe the Scion FR-S someday? But I have to ask the wife.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED I would recommend Sloane Toyota of Glenside, PA to anyone looking into a certified-preowned vehicle. If Rich and Jack are representative of all the staff there, then that recommendation applies to all departments. ACTUALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SERVICING THE CAR WITH THEM I am actually looking forward to our first oil change with them. Not just because its free, but because I know I will enjoy the whole experience of it. Strange, but true. -Tae

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service!!! I purchased a pre owned 2006 Prius June 2014 while purchasing the car it was suggested to me to buy the extended warranty on the car which would cover the Hybrid battery which is one of the most expensive parts of the vehicle. Just last week I took my car in for servicing due to all my service lights displaying on the dashboard, I received a call later that evening saying that my hybrid battery died and to replace the battery it would cost close to $4000. I was a bit confused giving the fact that I purchased a warranty that SHOULD have covered the battery if things went wrong according to Tim who sold me the extended warranty in 2014. The service department asked me to contact Tim (Extended Warranty Salesperson) I spoke to Tim the warranty salesmen Thursday discussing the issue I was having. He informed me that he would talk to the service department and give me a call right back, unfortunately I waited all night and all day Friday to get a call back from Tim and he never called. I called to reach out to him that afternoon and he was not there so I was transferred to his supervisor Steve Geissler, when I explained what was going on he was more concerned about backing up his employee rather than trying to help out a customer. Steve said that Tim was not in and will call me Saturday morning, I asked if he could call at 9am once he came in since now its day 3 without my vehicle and no one seems to care. Saturday morning comes along and still no call, so once again I reach out to Steve because he said that if I dont hear from Tim by 9 then he will call which he never did, once Steve got on the phone he immediately transferred me to Tim. While speaking to Tim he had NO recognition of selling me an extended warranty and didnt even apologize for not returning my call, he even went as far as saying "Well I have to get back to work" basically treating me like I was complete trash & wasnt a current CUSTOMER!! I then said wow I never knew someone so ignorant to a customer before you didnt even offer me an alternative to help with me car, he said "oh well what do you want you can either trade in your car or talk to someone to help with the battery". The worst part about this is he would of NEVER EVER offered anything if I didnt ask. Smh its so sad because I really thought Toyota was the place to go now I think its the worst thing ever, from the sales person to his supervisor!!! NEVER AGAIN!
