On 5/2/08 I purchased $20.00 worth of gasoline at Evans Gulf Oil Service Station at 1101 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. I was not able to use my debit card at the pump because that function would not work. I went into the station and presented my debit card to the attendant. He swiped in on his register once and stated that it was declined. I told him that was impossible because I had just checked the balance on my computer. He swiped it again and again said it was declined. I asked if there was an ATM close and he pointed to one in the lobby of the station. I withdrew $40.00 and gave him $20.00 in cash. Now I see that the swipe did go through and the man must have pocked my money. Watch out how you pay!

I like these guys, especially Tom. I started going there about a year ago because they had Saturday shop hours, which my old place didnt. They always take quick care of my 20 year old Ford Ranger. They dont look for ways to upcharge me, they just do what I ask them and provide professional feedback. Also the pricing is fair. I usually do some research before getting anything fixed and they have been at or just below what I expected to pay every time. John

I admit their professional skills to fix car and the ability to find a good price for customers. But, they show very high self-righteousness. So, if you have a girlfriend who is not in the mood. Dont take her to this shop. The service they have will make the situation even worse.

Came here for a second opinion on recommendation from a friend after pepboys on north broad told me I needed $2000+ work done just to pass state inspection. Evans inspection showed I was clean and even cost half as much. Good honest guys.
