I started renting a unit at Manayunk Self Storage about 4 months ago & the experience has been NOTHING BUT TERRIBLE. The facility is nice, but the customer service and care is atrocious. I have had numerous issues with my account and I have had to call 12+ times over several weeks until I finally am able to talk to someone. When I finally do, theyve already charged me excessive late fees and locked out my unit. The manager is then argumentative and has the least bit of concern for the poor service and inconvenience. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!!! When considering a self-storage center in the Manayunk / Roxborough area, do yourself a HUGE favor and choose somewhere else. Choosing to rent a storage unit here was an absolute mistake...

Very secure and clean storage location. I found it to be expensive compared to other places in the area. In addition, in past experiences Ive not had to give notice to vacate a storage unit -- At Manayunk Self Storage, you must give 10 days notice, a bit of an annoyance. Also, when Ive left a unit mid month, Ive always received a prorated months rent, as a refund. At Manayunk Self Storage, if you vacate a unit after the 5th of month, you do not receive a refund as it means you have to pay the full month. So, if you leave on the 6th of the month, youre paying for the ENTIRE month. Id look elsewhere!

These guys clearly have no respect for the community. On the last snow storm they piled a huge mountain of snow in front of the entrance to the canal path, completely blocking it. Just today, almost a month after the storm, I helped a women and her young kid trying to climb up and over this pile that has still not been cleared. If they dont have the decency to manage the property correctly, should you really trust them to store your things? Dont give these guys your business!

This place is clean and not at all scary or dumpy, but the attitude the employees have shown is less than savory. Every interaction with the staff is like having teeth pulled. OH, and this "Faci lity of the Yea r" thing they like to plaster on every square inch of their website? It was given by "Mini Storag e Messen ger Magazin e" for Best Conversion waaaayyyy back in 2003, so its time to let that one go, kids - not deserving of it anymore anyway, not by a long shot!

The team at Manayunk Self Storage helped me find a unit size that was right for me and the bulky belongings I didnt have room for. The facility is clean, safe, and easy for me to get to. In an awkward spot with little to no parking and they always park blocking the path. They have gotten worse and their upstairs neighbors who are probably renting illegal are ignorant loud people who have no respect for the neighbors.
