Ive been a customer for the last 12 years and this is the biggest reason for my low score. For 12 years I have needed high speed cable internet and for 12 years have had no choice but to use them as they are the only show in town. They consistently raise prices for service without adding anything. Price increases for the sake of bringing in more revenue and nothing else. Grossly over priced compared to FIOS or Optimum (go check) Why? Because they can. Their office closes at 5 and is closed on weekends lololol (must be nice) Its ridiculous as there are many competitors that can certainly reach this area i.e.: Verizon Fios, Optimum, etc. but some shady deal they have kept over the years. I only gave them a 2nd star because in the end they do provide the service I need and for the most part works fairly well. Their customer service is adequate, certainly nothing more. Outstanding customer service is "Mr Reluzco thank you for your years of being our customer so here is a complimentary month" or "Were upgrading everyones modem, typically you would have to bring in your old one but as courtesy we will mail it out" NOPE. So customer service is really nothing more than what they owe. Boooo

Service is awful! Customer service is bad too!! Who knows which is the lesser of two evils the service or customer service!?! The run around from on call too is just as bad. Been waiting months for a resolution to my internet connectivity issues. Then they give me a new route modem combo and I personally pick up from the office. The office tells me to just go home and plug it in and I would have internet. Well I didnt. So I called the office and they closed early. On call answers and tells me its not been properly registered to my account and only the office can do that. So I have to wait 3.5 days for internet. I was angry and reached out and 24 hours later a tech comes to my home. It turns out that it was a faulty piece of equipment. The office lady had nothing but negatives for what on call is and how they function. Why do they have them if they are so bad?! The tech that came to my home also said on call should have known. So it was fixed. But this isnt the first time Ive been told to wait for internet for a few days. Terrible! And what an awful company!!

Internet randomly loses sync in our entire development in Mountain Top every couple days/nights. Speeds fluctuate wildly. Incredibly uncompetitive pricing due to contracts or whatever that only they can do high speed internet in the area. Their rates are way, way to high for what you pay, but hey, monopoly. Their customer service is almost always rude like theyre frustrated calls are coming in when either their Cable TV, internet, or both go down so theyre constantly dealing with upset customers. They constantly say their nodes are at capacity, or their hubs, boxes, and lines are old... SO FIX OR UPDATE THEM instead of pocketing all the profit. Packages are supremely over price. Another outage tonight. Had enough. Calling the borough building to find out if they have some agreement with them that no other provider is allowed here. Will file complaints where ever I can. If you have a choice, do NOT go with this provider. Id hate to say this but Comcast/Verizon is the lesser of evils. Such a horrible consumer experience.

I deeply despise Service Electric service and support. This is considered a Grandfathered Monopoly at its finest. Internet speeds are a joke with astronomically high prices, that is when it decides to connect- I regularly see dropouts throughout the day for a few minutes to hours on end. I live at a location that I have no choice of vendor for internet access- however Comcast coverage is two blocks away. Keep in mind, I live in a very urban area of NEPA. My blood pressure rises every month when I pay this bill. They are by far the worst company and organization that I have ever come across working with. However, the only route for internet in my area is them. Looked into going all the way into using microwave service but still having issues getting it setup. The day I switch will come with a huge sigh of relief.

The worst ISP out there. Im forced to have this garbage internet because my area does not offer anything else. Paying for 40mbs and have multiple screenshots and proof of me consistently running 2 mbs. I wouldnt even give this company one star if I could. Customer service is rude and god awful. They will hang up on you if you prove them wrong. One gentlemen tried to tell me to take my one of my laptops off of the internet. I said I did, but didnt. Not one device was taken off the internet. He then proceeds to tell me the one device that was taken off the internet was taking up 90% of my up and down. They think we are uneducated and idiotic. Please just stay away from this company and do not even acknowledge their presence.

Sadly, the service packages they offer in the Wilkes Barre area are pathetic, especially for the price they offer them at, and they cannot for the life of them ever keep their network stable. Most days after work 5-6 est I am barely getting over 2mbps for a while, also it can be bad during primetime as well. I am also 100% sure this on their end, not my own, I have been through the troubleshooting. Lucky for them, they are my only option in the area I live in, so I am stuck with them. They need to step up their service, because if FIOS or Comcast moves into my borough they will lose all of us as customers immediately.

Customer support is terrible. They shut my cable internet off because someone called and said i was moving. Um doesnt the person whos name on the account have to do that not a stranger? When you have an issue, good luck getting support. Theyve raised their prices consistently with no added value to the customer. Seems theyre more interested in putting their names on stadiums and putting out commercials about their great customer service rather than actually providing customer service. Well the 1.6 rating they have on here really proves how awful they are.

I live in Mountain Top and pay for a 25Mb/s connection. Im lucky when I get home after work if I can get a connection speed of 3Mb/s. When you call them they offer nothing but excuses as to why you are only receiving 15% of the speed you pay for. This is a chronic issue with this company. Their after hours support is handled through PennTeleData, a company that actually attempts to solve your issues. TLDNR: If you use internet during their buisness hours (8:30-5pm) you should be ok. If not expect subpar performance.

Unreliable internet provider. Absolutely awful. I live in Hanover Green (18706), at this present moment, my connection is under 1 Mbps. I pay $55 each month for 25 Mbps. The only time I reach those speeds is after midnight or later. When calling tech support, the answer I get is essentially "downgrade so youre getting the speeds youre paying for." They say their nodes are at capacity yet they arent investing in the necessary upgrades to provide the service as advertised.
