They turned off my power 3 days before I asked for a disconnect because I was moving out of the state. It took 4+ hours to turn it back on, and I got nothing for the outage. Id recommend not calling to schedule the disconnect, but just show up and drop off the stuff. Also, if you are moving, cancel the autopay, as Ill be waiting by the mailbox to get my $100+ refund check, when they could just credit it back to my credit card. The DVRs are terrible. Buy a Tivo. I had the second slowest Internet package, and it was good enough for me, though. Install guy was a jerk who had the nerve to shake my hand and ask if he could use my bathroom after he tried to get me charged a full install fee since I set up internet and then cable a few weeks later.

Moving only a few apartments down and in order to transfer my Metrocast service, they said they have to cancel my account and open a new account at the new apartment. They said I will have to pay the last months bill at my old place, pay the first month up front and pay a $100 dollar install fee at the new place. Just to keep the exact same service that Im using RIGHT NOW. Who in their right mind thinks this is at all decent to do to people. The only answer I get back from their customer support is "we do this for everyone". Heres an idea, how about not money gouging your customers! I wish COMCAST was in my neighborhood, and I NEVER thought Id say that again. The worst company I have ever dealt with.

First off the customer service there seems friendly and very helpful I have no problem with the staff at this location.The actually internet and cable are OK, but overpriced. They sent out a tech the next day giving me a bad cable box and he was very helpful. The internet, cable and phone seem to randomly go out every month for several hours, the 800 number is no help besides making you answer 1000 questions and they eventually you "were aware of a outrage in your area, we have no time table at this time. This is the biggest issue, especially if youre in the middle of a project, school work or watching a live sporting event on TV. Its been down for over 6 hours at sometimes, its infuriating.

Im not even a customer yet, I called for information.The lady was very rude. after I killed her with kindness she started to be nice near the end. She seemed frustrated that I didnt know the information about what they offer. She said I could come down and check out the options, I got there She seemed uninvolved in helping was talking to the co-workers in the back didnt make eye contact even I mean its almost as if she didnt need or want the job she has. I honestly dont know why I was just trying to get information on the services She didnt even discuss what they offer just handed me a brochure and went about talking to the co-workers (short black lady)

Be ware of signup scams called "promotions." Poor customer service/resolution when I called about it. Beware of those scams when signing up and read all of the fine print because it wont be verbalized to you. I ended up paying $20 more a month for a service I did not request or that "I did request" but was not made aware of. If other similar providers were in the area, I would absolutely switch. It took a long time to get set up with their services after the initial request was put in. Overall, the service is not that great and pretty expensive. I ended up cancelling my cable and just have internet for now, hopefully I can find a better service to switch to.

I only use Metrocast for their cable internet. We "cut the cord" about 6 months ago and their internet speed has been consistently fast and reliable for the streaming services that we need. They recently upped their data cap and even though we stream several hours each day, we only use about one third of the cap. In the past I have had bad experiences with their hardware, but they were always helpful when I had to go swap it out for a different one. Their customer service has always been great. I recently bought a new house and they did not charge me to run the cable from the street to our house even though it required them to bury the cable underground.

Worst Internet service I ever had but better than .5 mb internet. We cant get anything else while the customer service is even worst. They treat you like a child and blame your equipment. I am just wanting to use my internet to play online games and pay 85 a month. I am never sure when my internet will go out having the constant fear. I even have to use a different dns service because theirs is so bad. It is nice to have the 120 mbs download and 18mbs upload if I can depend on my internet. I am having to hold back doing internet streaming for how bad they got lately. All I want is a nice internet to relax to when I get off from work.

I dont think it is humanly possible to be more tortured by an internet service. You do realize that you would be shut down if there was another service available in St. Marys County. I do not understand why the better business bureau has not shut you down. Wait, thats an email I could send. Thank you for the repeated torment while I am trying to work online or enjoy a movie with my children. I hope you are shut down soon. Why am I paying a bill, you should be reimbursing me for wasting my time. Our wifi is so bad my children may have to play with sticks.

How can any company stay in business with servicen this bad? Internet service is awful. Constant lagging and buffering. The absolute worst part is they have Service Level Agreements in place with St. Marys County but the county doesnt hold them to it. They are supposed to be fined per day if they dont meet them in certain circumstances. I wonder if anyone in the county government even knows they exist? Why cant we get FiOS or something else to compete with Metrocast? The amount of money I pay a month deserves way more than Metrocast provides.

Metrocast must think we customers never had cable/internet service outside their service area . Metrocast (and the co commissioners that allow them to exists here in MD) are ripping us off. Their rates are outrageous when compared to other cos Ive been serviced from, and their 1970 equipment was purchased from Cable R-US (next to Toys R-US). Simply Terrible. Remote and on screen menus are atrocious. If it wasnt for my 80 yr old in-law Id dump Metrocast faster than if I had eaten gas station sushi.

Lord have mercy yall. Wish I could get a different service but LUCKY for us METROCAST is basically the only internet service is here :/ Theyve been out twice already and still were having drops in the service. We even upped to the higher speed, YEAH.. Then when you call the wait is ridiculously long. They say theyll call you back if youd like and people never call... like.. really. May resort to bundle with Dish for TV and Internet.
