Absolutely the worst - hold locals hostage to their prices. Have resided in same location for 15 years - cable service has been horrible, but could not install dish due to neighbors trees blocking signal that he will not trim/cut down. Tried antenna for awhile, too. But had to return to prison of TimeWarner service. DVRs would need replacing every few months with "new" "never used" devices that would need replacing again in a few months.Then recently got a couple of chromecast devices and was finally able to cancel the cable service. However, still have to rely on them for "reliable" internet. Have had same router for three years with no real internet issues. Ever since canceled cable portion, internet fails EVERY Sunday morning and continues for several hours. I call every Sunday and TW claims 1.) issue with router and I need to call its manufacturer and have reset to channel TW specifies - not TW issue, but router companys. Really when it has functioned for years without issue!!! 2.) internet congestion causes channel to fail and changing it will relieve the issue. What since I cancelled cable portion everyone in the area suddenly started getting online on the same channel every Sunday. 3.) the frequency router is set to fails due to atmospherics or congestion. What the weather every Sunday morning makes it go out??? So, that means the clouds two weeks ago caused it, last Sundays rain caused it, and this mornings sunshine caused it!!! I am seriously looking for internet alternatives and cutting the tie with TW forever.

So where does one start…TWC is our ONLY option in Elizabeth City, NC; we are stuck with you and TWC is way too expensive and charge us too much for the piss poor service that we get!! However, I will say that your local crews are awesome and know whats going on! When the cable goes out or your slow ass internet service doesn’t work well, you call the 800 number only to get some NON ENGLISH person in Bangladesh, Philippians or some other foreign country, it’s hard to explain your problem due to the langue barrier and they don’t really know what’s going on either!! Then you go to the local office (during the week) and ask if there was a problem over night or over the weekend, you usually get an answer of yes so why can’t that foreigner tell me that?? One would think for all the money you charge the Elizabeth City area residents and elsewhere you could up grade and provide better service! To the behind the desk people, management and stock holders who make your MILLIONS every year, how about taking a pay cut, give us a break in our bills, hire some Americans and start putting Americans back to work instead of more money in your pockets!

Cable went out back in October. When it came back on, one of my TVs didnt work. After waiting over a week, the tech came out and fixed it. A couple weeks later the same TV went out again. Again, I had to wait a week for the appointment. The tech lied and said he called AND came here. Ive spent five hours with several different customer service reps and dispatch only to be lied to again. They wont give me a corporate number, email or even an address to write to. Worst company ever and I still dont have cable. NEW PROBLEM, SAME ISSUE. Friday. March 31st thunderstorm fried my modem. I called and had to wait until Sunday evening between 6:00 - 7:00. I checked the tech tracker which was texted to me. It said a tech was at the house around 3:00. I was home. No tech was here. When I called to complain, I was told to wait an hour for dispatch to call. Three hours later and a fifteen minute hold waiting for a supervisor that never picked up has me wondering when Ill ever see a tech. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE YOULL EVER ENCOUNTER.

Horrible! I have been trying to disconnect my services for over 3 weeks and they still will not do it! I received basic cable and internet on September 7th. On September 15th I had to unexpectedly move. The landlord was unable to make repairs so he let me out of my lease. I have been calling and calling to disconnect and get put on hold for over 30 minutes. Yesterday, I received notice that somehow I owe them 500 dollars. I was on the phone for over an hour yesterday without results. This morning TWC called trying to collect payment. I explained that I want to disconnect services. How about I was told that they will not disconnect my services until I pay 500 dollars! So, they are going to continue to bill me each month although they know I do not live at that address until I pay 500! Most utilities cut you off for non payment, TWC just continues to bill you.

The worst company ever!!! Customer service suck!!! And the are ok with that as long as they get a check!!! Corporate office is a joke ! They got my ordered wrong and because of all their mistake they changed my service start date!!!! Without my knowledge. I have three Internet business and I will now miss three days of work. So I called a lawyer!!! If this was Comcast or Fios that we have in DC someone would have been at my house at my original scheduled installation time. Whats better two hours of over time or a law suite for $5000? They have messed with the wrong consumer because I do not let things go. They are nickel and diming the south and will be exposed. I know a lot of people in DC that will put Time Warner on Blast!!!! Get ready for the NEWS!!!!

Horrible customer service. Extremely high prices compared the Chesapeake verison fios. They rape us because they monopolized the area. The internet here is 79.99 for 30 megs download and only 5megs upload. Verison has 50 up and 25 down for 10 dollars less. Thats twice the services for the far less than TWC. that means at twc you get half the service for more money. how do they think that this right? with TWC logic, pricing the same package that verison has TWC would charge 159.99 for what Verison charges 69 for. DONT BUY TWC.

Constant outages. Everything will be fine and dandy... then BAM! Several times a day the service goes out... only to bounce back 10 or 20 minutes later. This isnt just my problem, my neighbors are having the same issue with their Time Warner service. I really hope my internet stays up long enough to submit this review. The service used to be somewhat dependable. I guess when Comcast wants to buy you out... you immediately decide to screw your customers over by not maintaining ANYTHING! BAD SERVICE! STAY AWAY!

Router has to be unplugged every hour or it will not work. We were told it was interference and there was nothing that could be done. When the internet was installed, one of the techs knocked over a glass vase and cut himself trying to clean it up after we kept telling him we would do it (accidents happen, and the vase wasnt in his immediate workspace). Overall, the service sucks but there arent really many options in the area. For $60/m for basic internet, Id rather have Verizon.

My wife called and talked to a representative about our service and the constant rate increases. The representative on the phone made her an offer and guaranteed we would keep all our channels from Time Warner. New boxes (larger). Now ....the Sportsman channel is no longer carried with Spetrum and approx 10 other channels are only offered on another package. Sick of incompetent people and companies that dont care. Cant wait to cut the CABLE!
