Never believe these people, unless they give in writing, so that you can legally proceed later if it is not true. My experience could help some innocents. Offered a package, online shows different amount every day, because they will tell you it reflects in 2 days. In a month I visited in person more than 10 times to this store(they should have their store log), that means literally 3 days once and try to work with each and every person including store manager. Finally 2 surprises for me, one they put be in contract of 24 months and second with $20 extra for a month package. That too they told me a day before my trial period expires, that means next day onwards I am on 24 months contract (surprise for me). Of course they know you cant search other one as you will not get anything else immediately setup. As usual went there in person, so called ticket and deal guru (he claimed himself, I have all the names by the way) says that is a mistake from their associate who gave this deal and they cant honor. 6 main questions he couldnt answer me. One, what were all they doing when I visited these many times including manager. Two, why didnt they say in first place it is a 24 month contract and also more charges, Third, so called guru, what is he doing all these days when I am visiting and he told me he is the only person approves and works on my requests and tickets. Fourth, why is this sudden tone change exactly a day before expiring my trial period. Fifth, they were saying its their associate mistake, why are we penalized for that. Sixth, how can I trust even though they confirmed these things now(with 24 month contract and extra cost), because I dont know what kind of surprises are waiting for me by next month. No hard feelings, this is the truth and willing to stand by my comments in case cox wants to contact me. My friend who took service from the same day and from same people has the same kind of issue.

Absolute complete and total liars. I was intending to pay only $20 toward a bill given that they hijacked my telephone number previously as they were liars from the very beginning nearly one year ago when they told me it would be absolutely NO problem to port my number. After 6 months of their lies after lies, they admitted that despite having had ample time on their part to port my number, they failed to do so. Therefore, my number was lost and I had to temporarily "accept" a new number that I did NOT want. They wasted over 40 hours of my time, which has and have been recorded during my notetaking and personal investigation of how Cox operates. I am in the process of suing Cox Solutions in Fairfax in the Fairfax Court and have initiated a Better Business Bureau complaint against them. I come from a background in government contracting and investigations and my own observation of this company is that it IS, i.e., Cox IS fraudulent. They are involved in false advertising, deceptive practices and they lie to customers over and over with minimal internal accountability. Again, I am planning to sue Cox to the fullest extent of the law and have been reading up on class action lawsuits and other lawsuits that have already taken place regarding Cox and its dirty deeds. These people are liars and many of them are in cahoots with one another in terms of covering for each others lies. They lie constantly and knowingly. They make promises that they do not intend to keep while blasting the airwaves and bragging and boasting about how awesome their services is/are. I despise, loathe and detest their stupid company and will work with lawyers to put a stop to their schemes, fraudulent practices and outright lies. Furthermore, Id give then less than 0 (less than zero rating) if possible.

If I could rate this store as a zero, I would. On Nov. 11, 2015 I purchased a modem and installed it myself. The modem didnt work so I returned it on Nov. 13, 2015 and was told that I would be credited for the modem on my next bill. When I received the next bill, I was charged not only for the modem but was also charged $50.00 for pro installation of the modem. On Dec. 20, 2015 I went back to the store and showed them the bill for the modem and installation. After waiting for 1/2 hour I was told that everything was straightened out and I would not be charged for the modem or installation. Before leaving the store I insisted in getting a statement in writing that I would not be charged. Without a written statement I would end up having to go back to the store again in another vain attempt to actually get the charges removed from my bill. Update: Guess what? I received the new bill and the charges were not credited to my account. I went back and this time I had the rep call the billing department. I was also able to talk to the billing department and once again I was assured that the charges would be credited. How much faith do I have this time? None.

If I could give Cox zero stars, I would! I went to Cox to learn about their package deals. Javaid Humayun assisted me and I was very clear to him, that I am moving to a new home and that I am looking at what deals may work best for me. THAT IS ALL. He asked for the address where I was going to move, I looked it up and gave it to him. He picked up the phone, made a phone call and spoke to nobody. Then, he proceeded with showing me the package service. He was pushy about getting the service and explained to him over and over that I couldnt get it just yet because I am yet to move to this place. A few days went by and turns out he entered FRAUDULENT NOTES for the people currently living there. HE CANCELED THEIR SERVICE AND LIED ABOUT WHY THEY WERE CANCELING. The people living at the address are now dealing with their accounts because they cannot reactivate it. COX has done NOTHING to fix their problem and it makes me upset that Javaid spoke to a complete stranger and canceled somebody else accounts and committed FRAUD. This is unacceptable!!!!!!!!

Ive been using Cox for internet connection for 9 years now, and I can say I have always been happy about it. Two months ago, I decided to try their Contour TV service. I am not a TV person, thats why, I chose the basic one for around $43. I did not receive a bill until recently. And I noticed I was charged around $87 for the same service. I called them 3-4 times to get this corrected. They did not do anything after keeping me on hold more than 2 hours in total. I finally admitted the charge and canceled the service. It was a huge disappointment. I agree with some of the reviews that they do not have any communication within departments, and they simply say "Oh, it was not me who you talked to last time, and I do not know what they told you." It sounds like Cox hired contractors to answer phones who know anyone but themselves. They have no pride to be a Cox employee as they do not accept any faults if someone else at Cox is responsible for it.
