I wouldnt recommend the service. The service doesnt include even the simple programs like Dr. Phil but it gives you 2 channels from the 70s to view programs like Sanford and Son and The Jeffersons and if you want anything from this century its extra! When you have a need to return your items (the receiver, cords etc) TAKE PHOTOS because nothing will be properly recdorded into the computer system as "returned". I received calls for 6 weeks after i put the items directly into the hands of the female grouch at the Carolina Beach office. Perhaps shes the incompetent one because the chain begins with her when she receives the items. She acts like if she smiles her frozen face may crack into thousands of little pieces. Shes never been friendly or courteous to me at all. Sadly however I wouldnt recommend Direct TV either. Cable is like politics ... you pick the lesser of the two evils...whichever one that is. They do have a boss.. its called the Better Business Bureau. Thats where you complain and Charter HAS TO reply to the complaint and fix the problem if possible.

I have had Charter for three years now starting with a bundle of garbage I didnt need. At the end of every year they bump up the price and tell you the introductory offer has expired but after a lot of haggling they manage to get it back to a reasonable price. This company cant even get their web site to function properly. In all the time I have been with them their site has been very laggy and it gets worse every month. Now I cant even access the page to access my account! As for the Carolina beach location I can say that Sam has been outstanding every time I have gone in there even when I have not been in the best of moods due to the situation. I look forward to a time when there is a better option at my location. One star is very generous.

Its interesting that some of the other reviews here are low, because Ive never had anything but great service from Spectrum. I guess that typically only angry and uninformed people leave reviews. I had an issue with my connection once, and they took care of it immediately. My speeds are awesome, tv selection is great. Hey, cable is a luxury. If you cannot afford, dont get it. The local office here in CB is convenient, and I get superior customer service from Sam and Mike. Yes, they are closed on the weekends, but that tells me that they care about their employees and their families. My experience with the tech that did my install was great. 5 stars. Exceptional. Keep up the good work.

Called charter looking for new high speed Internet access for new house in Carolina Beach. Rep told me she did not know what speed was available with just the street name (3 blocks long and I can see the previous occupants connection), but no zip code. Asked general speed, she told me 60 Mbps down, 4 Mbps up, guaranteed continuously available, 24x7. I asked again for obvious reasons, and she replied, "I believe that is what I told you the first time". I excused myself, and called the Carolina Beach number, but got Mumbai in Buffalo who said "lery sorre" repeatedly. And Carolina Beach actually gave this company a franchise to operate? Id sooner use a flash drive.

internet connection is spotty at best, goes down a lot, they always tell me i need to reset my router when i call, but it has been down for more than 24 hours more than once, resetting modem did nothing. to top it off, i pay nearly 70 per month for internet alone, no phone, no tv, just internet, the bill seems to get higher in increments about every couple months, i started out at 24.00 3 years ago, then went to 40, then to 45 then to 50 then to 60 now nearly 70 dollars for spotty internet. get the new at&t fiber its supposed to be the fastest on the island and is now here so i will be leaving charter.

This is by FAR the WORST internet I have ever had in my entire life, and I was around in the mid 90s. Charter Communications just as bad if not worse than a dial-up connection. I refuse to pay 2-3 and $400 a month for Internet and phone service that is sub par. I highly highly recommend that if you are seeking Internet for a new home that you 100% do not choose charter.

The cable and internet is always going out. Now I have one receiver that is fine and another that tells me Im not authorized or I need to upgrade my service to receive the very same channels as the other one, of course they arent open at anytime during the weekend. Theyre only open at times that make you have to miss work to get any service

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I cancelled service and still received a bill for a bill for $145.12, after being told that I had a zero balance. This is still not resolved. I will never use Charter again.

Had the installation. The technician came in and was very professional. He knew exactly what had to be done. When I called customer service they were very friendly and helpful best of all they were American.
