Over the summer, I was in need of a new oil company, as my previous provider was purchased by a large company in Pennsylvania and I wanted to stay with a local company. So I called a few different companies, and settled on McKee. Boy, I wish I hadnt, the winter isnt even over and Im already looking for a new company. Unfortunately, McKee has a bad habit of saying one thing and then doing another. For the sake of brevity, Ill just list the bullet points and save you the story... Negotiated a certain price per gallon of oil at our initial meeting and contract signing. The bill then came at a higher price, and it took 3 phone calls over a month to get the bill corrected. Agreed on a budget payment plan to space the oil bill over 12 months and make it easier to afford. Started paying a monthly amount. When it came time to refill my tank, I was told the company doesnt do budget payments and I had to pay the balance over the phone in order to get more oil. I was also surprised to learn that McKee requires a 50% immediate payment if you want to fill your tank. Otherwise you can only go 100 gallons at a time. I learned this when I got a call back from a manager 10 minutes after setting up a delivery date to get my tank refilled. It must be a new policy, as my phone rep was mentioned nothing of it during our phone call. I can only imagine how long this list would get if I stayed with the company for a full year. I know times are tough, and Im sure the oil companies have a lot to deal with, but in the future, keep your word and dont treat your paying customers like deadbeats.

Their oil prices are higher than a delivery only provider because they offer full service. Despite the higher price I have stayed with them for several years now because of the good service and convenience. I have them do annual service on my system, I like the auto delivery and budget billing. They always answer the phone, are good at answering questions, and have come promptly for emergency service once or twice.

DONT use them! Prices are gauged and CUSTOMER SERVICE is terrible. They dont care about there customers, only making money! The prices are the most expensive around and they raise them weekly…One person says one thing and the next week another person says something completely different. Worst service I ever received…I left them after 4 months…BEWARE stay away….

I have been with McKee Oil for 32 years and have always had great service. They handled our addition without a flaw. Being bundled in there pricing may seem like they are higher but their service contract is reasonable and they give great service. Good luck finding a company better, Im happy where I am.

My contract price more than doubled. They did not estimate my cost correctly - it is winter and its cold they should have told me more, but they wanted the business so they underestimated to make it within my budget. I am a new home owner and got screwed with a HUGE bill at the end.

Ive had a good experience with them. They deliver pretty promptly and have repaired my boiler quickly when it was acting weird.
