Al and his team are great! From the first time I met Al through his follow-up phone calls after the installation to see how the system was running, he was nothing less than professional. Further, the members of his team I did meet (Danielle, Nick, Danny and Sam) reflected his professional ideals. The job I hired Al & Co. to do was a big one—a new gas furnace, A/C compressor and all new duct work were installed in my Lowell Highlands home. Al provided a very competitive estimate, which he stuck to, helped me to apply for and receive Mass Save incentives, and finished the job about 1.5 days ahead of schedule. While his crew members were there, they showed up on time, were very respectful of the house and tried to be as neat and clean as possible and were efficient. When they were finished, the basement looked cleaner than it had when they started and the installation looked neatly and professionally done. As a thanks, I offered to buy them all lunch—they refused, but eventually, I got my way :-) All in all, I was very happy with the Fagundes Plumbing and Heating experience from initial phone call setting up the meeting for a quote, all the way to when the system was installed. I did select Al’s Maytag line and have been very happy thus far. It looks like robust equipment and kept the house cool all summer—the system is amazingly quiet, I did not even realize the compressor was running at first! I have no doubt it will perform well in the winter and cut the heating costs from the gigantic ‘octopus’ furnace I previously had. I would do business with them again for sure, and have volunteered to be one of their references—that is how much I believe in their level of professionalism and quality of their work and the products they install. Thank you to Al and team!

My experience from start to finish with A Fagundes Plumbing was exceptional. I received a response for an appointment (replace an insinkerator and a leaking faucet) the next day and had it scheduled for the following week. To note - I had called on a Saturday to add the faucet work, and receive a call that same day, acknowledging that this work would be added. The receptionist who scheduled me had impeccable phone etiquette and was in general nice to deal with. The week of the appointment, I received 2 follow up reminders for the appointment (the day before, and the day of). Execution was also stellar. Steve and Sonith walked me through my options clearly and concisely and with written documentation (looked like a prepopulated booklet of various work items) of work to be done. It was efficient, and easy to understand, and nice to have a visual to digest when the work was explained to me. The work was done in ~2 hours, and my kitchen was left undisturbed. What stood out for me in this experience were the details - the professionalism on behalf of the phone personnel and the gentlemen doing the work; the fact that Steve and Sonith wore shoe protectors before they walked on my hardwood floors; the automated nature of their paperwork (no carbon copies - all digital) and the cleanup they did afterwords. Long story short - this was by far the best experience Ive had with repairs, and Ive had a number of them. Will certainly reach out for future work. You get what you pay for here.

Fagundes, Plumbing & Heating I realize customers only write or call when things go terribly wrong. This is not the case, Im writing to let you know how satisfied I am with the technicians you dispatched to my home today. I want it to be known that both of your installers arrived as scheduled and wasted no time surveying the install and assuring me that the new heating system would be up and running by around 3:30 today and it was. Around 3:40 I got a phone call from Sammy and Tom telling me the heat was working throughout the house and the hot water tested. The job was complete, I was relieved as the temps are starting to hit 24 degrees. I just purchased this home that was built in 1920 and is in very very good shape it has a lot of character. Around noon I stopped at the house to see how things were going, 80 % of the installation was complete. A whole new burner installed a number of other new components and new pipes were meticulously installed, I call it a work of art because it was. Its clear to me that both of your technicians take pride in their work and my installation was not "just another Job". Amazing ! Please, let them know how satisfied I am. I cant say enough about them and your company. This is what I do when I am overly satisfied with a companys work. I take the time to let them know how I feel. This is a very important step often overlooked due to busy schedules. This review was unsolicited, Im just a satisfied customer. Thank you joe s

I made the first mistake by not asking them if they clean main drains, I did though describe my problem to the secretary on the phone and I guess she didnt find it necessary. I had a problem with my heat as well. The lady I smoke to on the phone was very professional and kept me inform of when they were going to arrive and all that. I was told it would cost 95$ for the visit. The kid that came to my house was very nice as well. He checked out my plumbing problem and told me it was the main drain and I had to call a drain company, so I did, 255$ to get my plumbing, no drain problem fixed, on top of the 95$ I was paying Al. The young man then went to check out my furnace, found out i needed a new igniter. He called up Al and told him the situation, he was told to charge me an extra 190 for the igniter and labor. I thought about it for a minute while looking up the igniters online, I found them for 20$, I told him no thanks. So all and all I paid 95$ to know I needed to get a drainage company over and a new igniter for my furnace. And I was left with out heat Thanksgiving because I refused to pay an extra 190$ for an igniter I could find online for 20$ and to install it.

When doing a home upgrade or remodel, time is very important. You have to rearrange your schedule to have the contractor evaluate the job, and then do the job. He has to show up when he says he will. In the case of A. Fagundes plumbing and heating, they did just that. Al came by, saw the boiler I needed replaced and offered 2 separate quotes with different equipment and pricing. I selected one and I was told he would schedule the job on the 24th of the month. I called on the 22nd just to be sure that everything was set. It was, and Danielle at the office told me to expect the crew at 8AM. Thats exactly the time they arrived, with enough manpower to remove the old boiler and install the new one. Sam was the head plumber, an experienced and knowledgeable plumbing professional who answered any questions I had. The job turned out beautifully with a neat looking job that even got compliments fron the inspector. They were neat and clean and left the area very tidy following the install. If you need plumbing and heating work done, you should definitely call A. Fagundes for a quote. VERY VERY SATISFIED!!! B. Silver, Wakefield,MA
