I wanted to have a new shower fixtures put in and tried to do the job myself, but was worried after it started to get slightly complicated. Not wanting to break anything I figured Ill just call a plumber and have them install. $60 bucks later the guy does the inspection and quotes me $1079 just to install the fixtures!! I asked ohh is there a problem with the pipes? Are you installing new fittings and soldering them in place? Ect.... No Im just going to install and check to make sure nothing leaking and everything works. Outrageous!! So I tell him too much and he says ohh let me look over the number, then comes back with $852, no dice. Then he says let me check with the office, ohh we could do $650, I basically just told him to leave after that. Then the office calls and says they have a coupon and so the total prove will actually be $600. So In a span of 20 min the price changes by $479!! Are you kidding me. Now certain things in life have built in asymmetry toward the service i.e. Getting car serviced or going to the hospital. You really have no idea if youre getting screwed or not. Maybe this plumber is the greatest plumber in the world, but I doubt it and this place will just try to rip you off. Go anywhere else in town these people are crooks!

Never again. A Year ago, I needed the shower valve changed and was serviced by a young man (with a smile)who tried to fix it. It was a difficult task for him and in the process the temperature dial handle was damaged. He replaced it with a "universal" one. Unfortunately it was not the right match for a Moen fixture(too wiggly) but he said, I will get used to it. Displeased, I bought a new Moen handle and called back to have it attached. Also, there was a constant noise factor in the walls when using faucets which was not there before. At this point, I made a personal trip to the office!!! 3rd time visit, 2 different men came to finally correct it all. I was told that it was a "learning experience" for the first man. All along it was suggested that I need a new water heater and was given a quote. The price for the valve change was outrageous, given the fact that it took 3 visits to fix it. I was expecting experienced plumbers. Living in a Condo complex, I voiced my experience to management to warn other residents from Paul, the "learning plumber"!!!!

Since moving to the Derry, NH area over 2-1/2 years ago, using Angies List, I found the best Plumber ever! Paul the Plumber sent out qualified and genuinely kind and decent technicians every time I needed a service. This past year, as I found myself replacing nearly every appliance or system (argh!), I turned to Paul the Plumber. They have installed sump pumps (this house has 2 of them), changed out a propane water heater for an electric one, fixed the split water line of the refrigerator water dispenser (we had sagging ceiling panels in the basement from this), disconnected a propane clothes dryer (they are qualified pipe fitters, too!!), fixed a bathroom sink, and now, with the last rites issued over my ancient furnace, Mike is returning Monday to install a new one. They even offered financing. Paul the Plumber is a great place. Mike rocks, and Pandora does a terrific job scheduling and handling me when I call with my next issue. Thank you, Paul, for all the help youve provided!

My Husband and I want to say thank you to Caleb Alexander, Colby Austin, Mike Espinola and Tyler Gallagher. Also, Paul he stopped by to check on the work being done, and asked my husband how he was doing. Pandora was extremely helpful, patient and very pleasant. You are an awesome team! Keep up the great work! The whole crew did everything possible to get our home back in working order. We had to have our front yard dug up because we had roots blocking our sewer line and the water was backing up into our home. Mike was the first on the scene, and he was awesome! We cannot say enough about the customer service we received. We will be using them in the future. We totally trust this company. Please extend kudos to Ray of Groundhog Landscaping. I had Mike install a half bath in my basement and install new heating as well. First Ill say that when I first called, Pandora was very friendly and accommodating to when they would be able to get someone over to give me a quote. Mike showed up on time and was able to give me a very fair quote in literally minutes. He even took a minute to check out my sink faucet filter while he was there giving a quote. The bathroom came out good, he installed the saniflo pump up system and tested everything. I had him come back about a week later to quote me on the heat, also fair pricing. They installed all new baseboard heat in the basement and wired the thermostat for me. Everything looks great now, I am excited that I now have a second bathroom and better heat in my new family room area. Mike was very honest, personable and professional. I would absolutely use them again for any of my plumbing needs!

We have been using Paul the Plumber for over 20 years and I can truly say that Paul and his entire staff are nothing but pleasant, professional, punctual, and perfectionist. We have used them for a complete new heating system, a new kitchen, two new bathrooms and any and all plumbing and heating problems we have encountered in our much loved but, very old home. Despite the mixed reviews I chose this plumber over another because they could get to my home a day earlier. The plumbers were very unprofessional, they needed to use my husbands tools because theirs broke. When they had to come back the next day to finish the job, they still used our tools. They say the bill is based on the job not by the hour. I was charged by the hour and their rate was double the rate of 2 other plumbers in town. I paid my bill each day they were here and had to wait two weeks for a statement that said I paid my bill and had no outstanding balance.

We had another plumber try to fix our heater. After a $500 bill the heater still did not work. This was on a property we just purchased and only owned for about 2 months at the time. It was actually no surprise to us when Bob from Paul The Plumber gave us the sad news that the whole system needed to replaced because the previous owner of the building really let many things go. The heater was one of those things she "let go." Paul the Plumber got the job done quickly and for a reasonable price. We would recommend them for sure.
