I have been here not once but on 3 different occasions and let me tell you how things went. The first time I went was because my sister had purchased a new laptop that came with Windows 8 this was shortly aftter all PCs started being sold with Win 8. She hated as most people do not really user friendly and actually more created for touch screen PPCs. I asked the Tech who is usually their (he has a pretty heavy accent) but was fairly nice guy. I told him what I was looking to do which was have Windows XP installed which she likes very much. The Tech suggested a few things like installing Windows 7, an Anti Virus software and transferring all data. The prices he quoted were really fair and I thought great but let me check with my sister. After speaking with here we decided to go ahead with what the Tech had recommended. I went back to speak to him and I am not sure if he did not remember me or what but all of a sudden there was all these other associated fees and the price to do what he quoted me for before like more than doubled so I said I would think about which really I had not intention on paying such an extreme price for that scope of work. The second time was when my wifes Dell laptop got extremely sluggish and was just more of a headache then anything so I thought ok let me give them another chance since the Tech did seem very knowledable about all the technology of up and coming related hardware and software. I went and spoke to him told him what was going on and that I wanted to maybe change the hard rive and install Windows 7 since the XP was no longer supported by Microsoft. He recommended the new Windows out which he said was 8. something or 9 I do not really remember along with a digital drive which would make the outdated laptop faster and then transfer all data back and forth then install the Anti Virus. He quoted me some fair prices I thought but then when it was actually getting to the point of leaving the laptop to have things done I wanted to clarify all the things he was going to do and the price for them. When he started breaking it down all of a sudden once again were all the related addition fees and hell I could just go by another brand new laptop or at least put it towards the majority of the price since there was not much difference. I told him let me think about it. The third time when I went back it was the same thing I thought maybe it was just me so I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and get prices to do the same work but the same thing happened so I ended up leaving buying the parts and software and rebuilding the laptop myself and have not and will not go back.

Im going to call out CJ Seejay and Don Dupree as I believe their postings are in violation of Google policy and should be removed. They are fake reviews with the intent of lowering the rating and hurting Rodi. Unlike CJ, who did not respond to Rodis request to ID himself as a customer, and his false claims of being a "former Marine Corps Veteran" (theres no such thing as a former veteran), I am a 30 year veteran, having served in 3 combat zones and my name tag is on my profile photo. Ive known Rodi for years and continue to use his service. Rodi is 100% American, loyal to his country and has always gone out of his way to support not just veterans, but any customer who walks into his doors. He is a "servant" business owner who puts his customers in front of his own interests. Rodi is the consummate professional who would never belittle a customer or raise his voice. In fact, Rodi has served chai to me when Im not in a hurry and have had time to visit with him. As far as his computer service, he is top notch. Weve bought computers from him for use at work and at home. There are often times when Ive brought computers back to him with issues and he refused to charge me what he should have. He is an expert at his craft, a wonderful businessman and provides value to the community. I believe that CJ Seejay and Don Dupree are most likely the same person, and one who has a personal vendetta against Rodi. Because of this persons deliberate attempt to smear the reputation of a patriot, I will go out of my way to contact friends (especially veterans) in the Plano/Allen/McKinney area and ask that they start using Rodi for their own computer needs. Im hopeful that this bad behavior backfires resulting in an increase of Rodis business. CJ and Don - If you wont respond to Rodis request to identify yourself since you are not in his customer database, I invite you to prove me wrong. Otherwise, consumers can see for themselves. Remove these two postings and Rodi has 17 of 18 five star ratings. That speaks for itself. Well done, Rodi! Respectfully and very appreciative of Rodis expertise, customer service, passion and patriotism. You are a great American! Robert A. Woodmansee COL (ret)

I brought my desktop into Rodis Computer Service as it would not run. Less than a few minutes after I arrived, Rodi pulled the cover off and identified the problem. We discussed alternatives based on cost and the level improvements I wanted. There was no pressure whatsoever. He made it abundantly clear that as a valued customer, I came first. Based on his excellent advice, I decided on an essential great upgrade. The quoted costs were extremely reasonable. He is fast - the computer could have been ready in only one working day, but he had to order a large capacity SSD, so it was only two working days. I was extremely impressed with Rodis friendliness, facility, professionalism, and attention to my needs, and most of all the very reasonable cost. In fact, when I wanted a additional upgrade he explained that it was not really needed as he didnt want to me to waist my money. I really appreciated his honesty. In summation, I now have a virtually new computer at a fraction of the cost it would have been for a new one - really super! I will strongly recommend Rodis service to friends, colleagues, and family.

I have worked with Rodis Computer Service since the day he opened in Allen, just completing another repair on a desktop. He maintains the highest integrity and nothing short of achieving customer delight and exceeding customer expectations. You work directly with Rodi or his knowledgeable associates, in a very open, hands-on approach which assures the repair need is clearly understood and addressed correctly from the start. Customers are encouraged to go into the work area to review their repair requirements directly with Rodi and his staff, along with hands-on demonstration of the final repair. This is particularly important and a real benefit for special repair needs where specific files or other customized considerations need to be maintained, an area Rodis excels in. Bottom line and strictly through Rodis personal presence and commitment, this business knows how to listen to each customers needs and exceed those expectations each and every time I have used their services. We are fortunate to have such a business in the Allen area.
