Yes, the phone # rings and never an answer. I have made formal complaints several times. Lost packages. Packages that were zapped delivered that I never received. There were four separate times that this happened and the vendor would not refund or replace the lost items because the USPS had shown delivered at my address. There explanation was that someone stole items out of my mailbox. I think someone is stealing but it is not a person stealing out of mailboxes. Being retired and usually in my computer room when the mail comes which gives me a direct view of my mailbox, I strongly deny that these items were stolen. One time, the last tracking location was actually at the Allen Post Office and that was the last of it. I did get a replacement from the vendor on that occasion. February 2015. We received no mail delivery on 2 occasions. I know because I had the flag up and the mail never was removed. One time, the tracking showed attempted delivery on a particular date when I was actually waiting in my computer room watching the mail person drive on by without even stopping. It all started in 1998 when I moved in and my new mortgage books were returned to the mortgage company because the carrier did not know someone was living in the house even though I put the house number on the new mailbox and put my name and street number inside the mailbox lid. I have seen no improvement or any result or answers back from my formal complaints to USPS. I stopped having my packages delivered USPS. It is a constant battle.

I have purchased a new home in Allen. When I was testing the keys, I noticed that the key to the mailbox (the street of my new home has centralised mailbox) doesnt work. I have been calling this postal office (which is the local postal office of my new home) for the past 2 weeks and no one would pick up the phone. So I have to drive all the way there (I do not currently live in Allen) just to request and the every single worker I have talked to are nothing but rude and condescending. I arrived at 12:00 today and they did not even bother to answer my question as to what are the steps and information required to request new mailbox key, they just said "come back Tuesday" with such a terrible attitude and would not bother to even look in my direction again. I understand they are trying to go home, but the least they can do is keep their PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE. They represents USPS, which is backed by the government. Their attitude and actions (while I was there, I witness them THROWING packages in the cart like its a bunch of trash) is really giving the government, USPS, and City of Allen a terrible reputation. They need to be more selective in their hiring process for this location. I have lived in and been to postal office in Plano, Richardson, and Dallas and none of these location seems to have any issues. I totally would have given this location negative stars if I could.

This particular Post Office (PASSPORT) was a pleasant surprise: 1) it takes walk ins 1PM-3PM, and if you are in line, they are very clear close to 3PM, who is the last passport customer, so you wont wait, then be told to come back once the clock hits 3, which is what all customers in line expected. 2) make sure you have all documents, printed out in COLOR, filled out accurately and your drivers license and your check or cash ready before you get to the front of the line. 3) Its way more efficient to go to CVS or Walgreens and come with your pictures already done. 4) Make sure you have A CHECK OR CASH - non-expidited service was $80 (no credit cards except for the extra charge $25 the post office charges to handle the transaction) 6) If you have filled out the form allowing one parent apply without the other parent, make sure you get it notarized and make sure you come with the FRONT AND BACK of the absent parents divers license. Overall, a great experience despite a longer line. which is the only reason it doesnt get four stars. Its a very small post office, and stunningly, only one person at a time taking passport aplications. As one of the only facilities in the area that does take walk-ins, youd think theyd be better prepared to handle the inevitable volume of customers.

I do not like leaving mean reviews, but I cannot believe how I was treated today by a fellow human being. These two women were just plain mean, unprofessional, and dumb. I left without shipping my package and went to a place called Eagle Postal Center for the first time. Its further away from the post office, but the guy was so nice that I will simply use their location for my shipping needs. Golden Rule folks, plain and simple. At the post office, I walked up to the clerk when called. I smiled and said good morning and I told her I would like to send a loose-leaf textbook via Media Mail. She immediately became irate and said that that was not possible and only after that did she ask what a loose-leaf textbook was. I explained to her what it was and this seemed to anger her, so she loudly called over to her colleague and asked if "a leaf book thingy" could be sent via Media Mail. Her colleague literally yelled at me that only books could be sent via Media Mail and that I was holding up the line. I was truly shocked. I didnt say another word and walked out with my package (I drove over to a place called Eagle Postal Center and shipped the textbook from there). Im going to call the post office on Monday to speak to a manager, but my expectations are minimal.

If I could leave a 1/4 star I would. Ive lived in Allen for 3 years and never had a problem until recently. Mail doesnt arrive until after 7pm. Theyll say packages were delivered in the afternoon but dont show up until after 7pm. Lately Ive had packages say they were delivered but werent. Another time I was home all day waiting for a signature package that never came but yet they said they attempted to deliver and said they left a notice but didnt. 5 days have passed with multiple calls to the main line for redelivery and they never redeliver. Went to the post office to pick up my package and CAN"T because I dont have a slip!!!! Well they didnt leave one. Tried calling Allen post office and the line is either busy or it just rings. When someone does finally pick up they dont say hello they just laugh with others about how theyre not saying hello, how their not answering the phone, and how they dont care. And to think that happened 3 times in a row. Called the main usps line and filed a complaint. All I want are my packages. You hate your job ...FINE.. but dont penalize people beacause you do. geez.....

Some of the rudest and meanest USPS employees work in this office. The lady collecting passport application was rude, loud and obnoxious. There was a growing line on a Friday afternoon of passport applicants and she called out at 2:25pm (passport applications received until 3pm at this location) that she will not take additional applicants and tasked the people in the line to turn away customers who kept strolling in. She shouted out loud asking people and families in line having a chat to stay quiet, move back etc and was so irritable that she was such a poor example of some lovely USPS workers that Ive known over the years including our mailman while at CT and at Plano, TX. The passport picture service was down as they had a broken camera! These are high margin services and its such a shame they dont put any effort to mend and fix that. This lady wouldnt last a week in her job had she been with a different employer with this attitude and customer service. I hope the Post Master of Allen takes note to this facility which really needs to pull up its socks and looks at the reviews posted.
