Alex ripped me off so bad! I read these reviews and made an appt with her seeing she was highly recommended. Boy am I furious! I had a little bit of root growth that needed just a touch up with some highlights to blend my natural dark with my dyed blonded. Very small and simple. Ive had my hair done professionally by someone great before and not to mention my sister in another state is also a hairdresser. This shouldnt cost more than $40. Maybe okay $60! My old hairdresser did this same thing AND added another color highlight AND gave me a hair cut everytime and i was charged $80.00. Worth every penny. For the simple one highlight on just the very new growth ALEX CHARGED ME $115.00!!!! I am so upset. She wanted my money. I cant help but think since she knew i was moving in a couple months she got her buck out of me. What saddens me more is she knows my husband was just diagnosed with a very rare cancer a year ago and i just found out i was pregnant AND it was my BIRTHDAY!! Not that i was expecting any deals but geez thanks for ripping me off while youre at it and ruining my day when i dont have money to spend on things like this anymore!! Lastly, the blonde she did on the roots were WAAAY lighter than the rest of my hairs shade. Was a complete loss for me!!

There was some miscommunication with my hairstylist and I arrived at Lighten Up Hair Salon after he had already left for the day! I was so embarrassed and disappointed. The ladies on staff jumped into gear. They each had a client in their chair or one incoming, but they teamed up and successfully executed a plan of attack for my highlight/lowlight combo! One would jump in so the other could tend to their incoming client, then another stylist arrived and chipped in while the other went back to her client. I dont know how they did it but somehow they pulled it off. My hair looked great! They truly care about their clients at Lighten Up Hair Salon and are absolute professionals.

I cant say enough about Alex! She is AMAZING!!! Not only is she is a phenomenal hair stylist she is a beautiful person who I call my friend. I have gone to Alex for a total of 5 years and it seems just like yesterday we just met. It was 2 weeks before my wedding day and I had not found that WOW sylist. I had gone to ladies here and there close to my home but I was never WOWed when I would leave. My first appointment with Alex I left her and knew she was my girl! Everytime I get my hair done I get compliment after compliment and I feel so pretty! I love her so much I drive 45 minutes. I promise you will not be disappointed

Alex Hillard at Lighten Up has been doing my hair for almost 2 years, and I will never see anyone else! As a blonde, its so hard to find someone that can get you the shade you want, as often as we need, and still keep your hair looking super healthy! I am constantly getting compliments on my hair, and I refer everyone I know to Alex. Ive had several friends that switched over to Alex and they are all so happy with the great work she does! Its an added bonus that she has a great personality and has become a friend :). I would highly recommend Alex at Lighten Up to anyone, and if I could give her more stars I would!

ALEX is THE expert in color! It took me years of bad highlights to discover a true artist and skilled stylist that knows how to not just give me my blonde locks, but has keen knowledge in the latest hair treatments and products that help me maintain my processed hair! She is an absolute sweetheart and is dedicated to customer service. This Texas gal has a huge heart and a passion for making any woman or man look and feel fabulous inside and out! Grateful to have found her!

Alexandria Hillard is ABSOLUTELY fantastic!!!!! I am a natural redhead and Alex turns me into a blonde :) Ive been lightening my hair for 20 years and have had a lot of hair dressers in California during that time. I have been getting my hair cut and hilighted by Alex Hillard for almost 10 years now. She is AMAZING! I searched for so long for someone to get the perfect colors right for my hilights (I get blonde and a coppery red) and she nailed it from the beginning! I will follow her wherever she goes.
