The Boerne AutoZone should be used by the corporate customer service group as a prime example of how not to treat people. On countless occasions Ive been at the counter to check out, only to have to stand there waiting while the clerk was handling a phone call AFTER he started processing my order. There I am, ready to buy and hes on the phone flipping thru his online catalog answering questions for someone how is not in the store ready to buy. Why? The other issue I have with the Boerne AutoZone is their steadfast refusal to handle defective auto battery claims in a prompt manner. The 2 yr. warrantied batteries all seem to mysteriously die after about 25 months. Bring one of these into the Boerne AZ and youll be told its your fault. Theyll want to test it. Ok. Then theyll tell you they need to charge it to see if it will hold the charge. Come back in 6 yrs. youre told. You do so and are then told it will be another 6 hrs. before theyll know for sure if your battery is still OK. All of this said, in my opinion the worst part of shopping in the Boerne AZ store is having to deal with the stores mgr. Hes been there forever. I know numerous people in Boerne who share my opinion of this guy. His people skills are terrible. Why AZ corporate wont get rid of this guy is a mystery to me. Fortunately we now have NAPA, OReilleys and a Full Service auto supply store in Boerne. No more Boerne AutoZone for me.

About half the time I get decent service. The other half, I encounter someone that seems to hate the world and wants everyone to know just how miserable he is. The crusty old goat with the gray hair and beard does not need to be in a customer service position. Bought a ignition coil and put it on the car for about five minutes. Turns out it was not the answer to my problem. Took it back to see if I could return it. He acted as if I had asked for him to give me his first born. Said they cant take electrical parts back if theyve been installed and are not defective. I asked him if he could test it since it didnt fix my rough running problem and it may be defective. That really got under his skin as if I had asked for his wife also. Rather than lose it on him, I left and decided I wont be back there again. Nothing they sell cant be purchased at NAPA PR OReillys down the street. This store has a history of poor service and now Ive experienced it for the last time. The negatives far outweigh the positive experiences Ive had there. Autozones management needs to take corrective action.

On 7/23/2015 I went in with a dead battery with 1 year left on warranty. They told me that they would have to charge it to check it and that they would call me in 1-1/2 to 2 hours. 3-1/2 hours later I called them. They said that they had lots of customers and would check the battery later... I went in anyway and there were NO customers. They guy went in back and said battery was good and just needed charging. I made 1 short trip with car on 7/24. On 7/26 the car wouldnt start. Removed battery from car and charged... it dropped in voltage over night. I took the battery to another Auto Zone. As soon as they hooked it up to their tester it indicated that it was a bad battery and they gave me a new battery. CONCLUSION: The people at the Boerne store are either incompetent or liars or BOTH. Read the other comments. DO NOT GO TO THIS AUTO ZONE! DO NOT GO TO THIS AUTO ZONE! In case you missed it..... DO NOT GO TO THIS AUTO ZONE.... THEY ARE LIARS AND INCOMPETENT!

My son and I went in with a dead battery with 1 year left on warranty. The guy said the battery was 100% charged and that there much be some electrical problem that is pulling the juice out. I took it over to Jennings Anderson Ford and they ran tests and printed out the results, which ultimately said REPLACE BATTERY. So on day 4 of this sucky battery, we go back to Auto Zone and get all kinds of push-back on this. The charged it up from 50% to 100% while we waited, and then reported they "finally got it to read bad". They should have done this right on day 1 of this bad battery experience. But because they didnt, it was 4 days, not 1. Their people need training badly. They showed no concern for all of the inconvenience I experienced and the $65 spent to get it tested right. This was the worst Auto Zone experience ever.

I never had a problem whit autozone but today I went in there asking for an specific part. I had done a lot of research over the part so I knew what the name was but not which would fit my car. After bringing them to the guy he said the the name of the part was not what o was calling it (even though the name was on the pakage) he then looked for the part on his computer under a different name and told me that the part was not avalible. Then he recommended i should do what he did and ad resistor to my lights because in his words what I wanted to do " would not work" when what I wanted was a flasher that would support led bulbs. I got out of there whitout a part went to a different chain store and bought what I needed. My lights are now working the way they are suposed to and I am not going back to this store.

These guys should all be replaced. They are lazy and prejudice. I heard one of the clerks tell a customer who was trying hard to communicate to him the part he needed. His remark to the customer was " in this country we speak English, next!" I had a need for an O ring for my radiator drain plug and because it was 20 minutes til closing, he said "that I would need to go check with the dealership. It would take me all night to find an exact fit" I left and went to O Reillys up the road. The clerk there, non Hispanic worked for 30 minutes trying to match up what I needed. I wont give them the pleasure of my business for now on. Autozone General Manager should do something but they probably wont.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS AUTO ZONE! Horrible customer service! Very rude and unprofessional. Had me wait the longest time and all I went in for was to check why my engine light was on "Roy" kept saying to "just wait 5 minutes" after he told me that multiple times he skipped me and assisted other customers there, after I reminded him I was next in line he said it was a "courtesy to clients inside the store " (was I not inside the store?) after receiving the worst customer service Ive ever experienced I left and went straight to Oreillys in Boerne, where I was helped fairly quickly and all my questions were answered!

On a Saturday morning, the place was hopping. I had to park away from the store. One staff was busy on the phone and the other handling the register. Neither was super friendly, but they did their jobs and were helpful. Got me the battery that I needed and let me borrow their tools. As always: 10% military discount. They only negative: Its the first AutoZone at which the staff didnt offer to replace the battery for me, a free service at all others Ive been to. Whatever, Im no wimp. Battery installed by yours truly. AZ is the only game in town for me, as the other guys are overpriced.
