Nov 11, 2015: Owner Ken Lefler told me "Im lucky he doesnt kick my ass" while inspecting his crews partial work in my home after I refused to pay $538 per hour. I ended up calling the police to get him out of my home after I asked him to leave and he threatened me. Earlier that afternoon, two plumbers came to my home to work on a short list of repairs. They were friendly and capable, but no estimate or rates were discussed. They completed the requested work within 1 hour 20 minutes of arriving. Some of the work was perfect, most was incomplete, some will require hiring a different company to fully finish. They went back to their vehicle and called the boss to figure out the bill, and wrote up an invoice for $700!!! This is about $269/hr for each of the two plumbers, or $538/hr for the pair. I refused to pay that full amount, and instead wrote a $400 check for the work they did. It was entirely labor, as I supplied all parts for the work. They called the owner Ken who came to my home to inspect and negotiate, and this ended with the police coming by. Unbelievably bad situation, owner, pricing, and experience. Tops every lousy dealing Ive had with a vendor in my life. UPDATE Nov 13, 2015: After reading the owners reply here, I wanted to add that it wasnt about the $300. Since this incident happened on Veterans day Ive just now donated that amount to the Wounded Warrior Project. It was about being given no estimate, and then being handed a ridiculous $700 invoice for some quick work. It was about the work obviously not being 100% right. It was about the hothead owner coming to my house after trying to price gouge me, and then physically threatening me. It was about this low integrity scum bag claiming in the reply that I was given an estimate and agreed to it, which is just not true. It was about stopping the next "me" from hiring this lousy company because there arent useful reviews available as a warning.

As with any service, there are pros and cons. For Carrollton Plumbing Service, this is no exception. Their reception staff alone are what brought this review up to three stars. Heres my breakdown: Pros: -They called me back within an hour of my first call. -They were able to schedule an appointment for me within 3 days (it was not an emergency plumbing issue). -They arrived within an hour of their appointment time. -They finished quickly. Cons: -Every time Ive used this service, Ive had to do substantial clean-up. This past experience, they used our good towels to mop up toilet spillage. These were left, soaking wet, on the floor of my bathroom and in our tub. The time before this, it took me two hours to clean up and repair the damage made to my landscaping. Various disposable items were left in my yard. Maybe my expectations are set too high. -Since I tried to work this last job by myself, I had a few replacement parts (tank kits) packed up to return. I was charged for a new tank kit, but they used one of mine for the repair. Weird. -Pricing was a bit high, especially for this last service.

Do not use this business, clearly this is a horrible business to deal with from prior reviews! The owner is unprofessional, accusatory, and a hot head. You can clearly read for yourself in his nasty responses to other negative reviews! “This guy’s accent was thick and I had a hard time understanding him.” What kind of defense is that for bad services you provide? As for my personal experience with him, my house had sprung a mainline leak. Unaware of Ken Lefler’s prior horrific customer dealings and outcomes, I called his company to come out to give me an estimate. They quoted me $1700, which I knew to be an outrageous price and received unprofessional and rude treatment from Ken when I called to figure out how they had come up with their ridiculous quote. I decided that this man is clearly not a Godly man in any of his dealings so I called another local plumbing company who arrived promptly and charged me $375 to fix the problem, not to mention were pleasant to deal with. I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!

I called Carrollton Plumbing Service yesterday for my mother in law who had tried and tried to clear a stopped up sink herself being as she is extremely handy. To no avail, and being on a fixed income, she had to resort to calling a plumber. Thank God we found Carrollton Plumbing Service. They responded to the problem and had someone over to fix it very quickly. The plumber who came was very professional, clean cut, kind, and generous in his mannerism. I really appreciate meeting fine people that come out to service your home that smile and treat you with the utmost respect. Their price was very reasonable. They clean out the blockage of the pipes from underneath the house on the outside and cleaned up after themselves. It was a real pleasure to meet and plumbing company and plumbers who actually care for the customer and are not there to rip you off. I would highly recommend Carrollton Plumbing Service and will definitely be using them again when I have plumbing problems.

I would give this company a negative 10 if possible, 1 star is a gift! Our condo mgmt service (PMG), always uses them and they are always late, over-priced and their crews arrive and just sit in their trucks while billing us as it is either "too cold", "too hot" or "too dark" to work! This time they have been trying to repair a small gas leak on a 1/2" threaded pipe riser for 2 months and they still havent got our gas back on. Any reputable and qualified plumber would have located the leak and repaired it in less than 2 weeks for sure. This is obvious that by dragging it out their is a perception of time value and they can bill an excessive amount for no reason. Right now our bill is $4000 and growing! Their license should be revoked!

We goggle the number called them explain the situation he told me send me some pictures after that he never call us back after 12 hrs I called them back & asked him what happened 1st of all he forgot 2nd I find received pic 3rd I have a same customer like your situation called me so I was confused so that is not professional then he told me sorry I send him pic again address he told me tomorrow next appointment 8:00am I said ok but no body showed up that are not professional not punctual on time and I dont know how they do there job so pls sorry for them I dont know how they run this kind of plumbing co sorry again no body showed up till 8:22sorry again ..................

Carrollton Plumbing is the best! They were so quick to respond and thorough to find a solution to my problem. They fixed it faster and better than I ever could have expected. Preston and Brandon were completely respectful and detailed and made you feel educated and confident in their abilities. So refreshing to feel like you can really trust someone and they are not just trying to make more money off of me. I will always use Carrollton Plumbing, but as great as they were it will be a long time before I have to call again!! Thank you for fixing my problem and getting my family back to living normally and comfortable! I cant thank you enough! Highly recommend!
