Congratulations on the opening of Jays Automotive and Transmission!! Jerry was my top tech and General Manager for several years and this is what Id like to say. He is a good man, a good tech and a good friend. While running Family Auto Service at this same location with Jerry there, I could always count on him to do what was best for our customers. His integrity and technical competence will serve his customers well in the future. You really get to know someones character from day to day. I have seen Jerry have to make some tough calls and he has been a good leader. When I knew that I was going to move my business from Frazier Street, I wanted to do everything I could on my part to see Jerry get his own gig going in our old location for a couple of reasons. 1. With my shop relocation, it would be better for some of my old customers to have Jerry there. 2. Jerry has worked very hard in our business and his life to prepare himself to do this and to do it well. Jerry displays vision, good ambition, the skills, the work ethic and perseverance it takes to do this well and as such, he is a benefit to us all. Yeah Jerry, I noticed your hard work, Thank You. In my new location there will be some types of repairs and services that we will no longer do, for example diesel work, I will be highly recommending and referring my customers to Jays Auto and Transmission One more thing... If I could give this place zero stars I would. I am honestly SHOCKED at the good reviews. The only thing we can guess is that it has changed ownership since the good reviews. I could write a novel of the problems we have had with this place but I will just provide some of the "highlights". My MIL took a blazer in to get a rebuilt engine. This is the only car she has as she is on a fixed income. They had it for over 4 MONTHS. She could never get ahold of anyone, no updates, no calls, nothing. And when she called, they were rude to her. It was awful. We finally got the car back and surprise surprise it didnt pass inspection. Not wanting to deal with these people anymore we took it to another place to get it looked at. The mechanic there said it was the worst work he had EVER seen, things were being held in place by paperclips. He said he has never seen anything so bad. I wish I could stress how far to stay away from this place. They are crooks, and took advantage of my elderly mother in law. Please stay away, you will end up much much worse off than when you brought the car in.

Guy charged me $124 dollars for towing. Same tow company charged me $62 to tow a different vehicle the sane distance. Guy acts like its all good cause he fronts the money fir the tow while he does the repair. Charged me $736 to replace 2 brake lines, and it took them 20 days from the time i dropped off the truck. I suggest hiring these guys if you can afford that kind of money for repairs and dont need your vehicle for 3 weeks. I invite anyone from this business to dispute these facts. I am not even giving opinion. I would post the bill and the tow records if there was an option for it.

Stranded in Conroe and my road service found me the shop. Wrecker pulled my truck there and it was after hours and Jerry jumped my truck to get my passenger window up that had gone dead from having my flashers on for 2 hours. Repair done by 9 the next morning and very satisfied at the honesty of just the pulley that broke my belt being the problem. $275.00 and if less honest shop they could have told me something way more expensive was broken.

I have always gone to Jays, but after this time I dont think I will. My car went in due to a wreck on the freeway involving a wheel barrow handle through my radiator. He did give me and honest price, but he has never called me for an update. Ive had to blow up his phones until he eventually answered. Its been around a month now, and my car is still in the shop with no clue on how much longer it will be there.

I used Jays to replace the transmission, struts, and fix a rear main seal on my 2007 Acadia. The process is very involved including dropping the engine. The dealership wanted to charge close to 7k without fixing the rear main seal. Got this done by Jerry for A LOT less and the car is running awesome with no issues for the last 18 months. Id recommend Jerry for any out of warranty work!

Driving through Conroe and had an unexpected problem on the highway. Pulled off and went to the closest shop, which was here. The guys got me in immediately, and the needed repair was made quickly and at a fair price. Thanks so much guys!
