I took my car in at 7am on a Monday morning to have 2 cracked motor mounts replaced. I did not hear back from anyone regarding an estimate until around 2:30pm that afternoon. I asked Brian (unsure if he was a technician or just an office worker) to also replace the belt in my car in addition to repairing 2 cracked motor mounts. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle around 5:45pm, Brian informed me that they only repaired one motor mount and replaced the worn belt. He explained they repaired the mount that seemed to be causing the shaking in my engine that I described as the main reason for getting the repair done. He asked that I drive the car and see how it felt. His reason for not taking care of both mounts was "we simply ran out of time." The jerking in the engine remained so I knew I would return to have the repair completed. I returned a few days later after purchasing the part indicated on my estimate (for about $40 cheaper than Christian Brothers would have charged). Brians mood changed once I mentioned I purchased the part. He produces the same part from a nearby counter and says "This isnt what we need." Immediately I questioned why the part was on my estimate. Brian proceeded to spin a tale of mystery estimates that were emailed to me which indicated the correct parts and different costs. He clicked around on the computer before producing a new estimate which detailed a part never before referenced on previous estimates. The new estimate indicated a part whose cost was much higher than previously stated along with repair charges that were more than the original fees given for replacing the two mounts combined on the previous estimates. How could a new estimate be generated from the time I last visited? Feeling frustrated, I left after advising him I would shop around for the part and return later. Realizing that it was Friday and the shop had relatively few cars that needed repair, I suspected Brian simply did his best to discourage me from requesting the work that should have been completed earlier in the week. I found my original statement, returned to the shop and explained I needed the repair that was originally going to be completed to be finished for less the amount that I already paid. He begrudgingly agreed after mentioning doing so would not be fair to his technician. "Excuse me?!" I thought. If they had taken care of the requested repair the first time we wouldnt have been in the position we were in. I politely agreed that it was unfortunate that the repair was not done in a timely manner on Monday since I was perfectly willing to pay the requested fees for service and parts at that time. To make matters worse, the repair to my motor mounts did not solve the problem. Brian or his technicians misdiagnosed the issue to begin with. One would think that with the word "Christian" in the name of the establishment that the employees would be honest. One would be sorely mistaken by making that assumption about this location. Christian Brothers lost a customer that day.

Dropped off my truck to have some repairs done. My truck was pulling hard to the right, then after compensating to straightening it out, it would pull hard to the left, and vice versa several times. I spoke with AJ, who proceeded to tell me that my entire power steering system needed to be replaced, that there was metal flakes in the pump, that the gearbox was falling apart. That the hose needed to be flushed as well to remove metal flakes. This cost was quoted at $3050 for all parts and repairs. I also wanted them to fix my trailer electrical plug, I only had marker lights, but no turn lights nor brake lights. The technician said there was corrosion in the wiring harness that would need to be replaced. This was quoted at $250 for repairs. Technician also mentioned that the front brakes were needing to be replaced, total cost was quoted at $650. Total cost for me out of pocket would have been $900 at Christian Brothers, due to my protection plan not covering normal wear and tear on the brakes, nor corrosion on the wiring harness. I have a MPP protection plan to cover repairs on my vehicle, after speaking with them, they wanted a second opinion, and they towed my truck to the Ford dealer I bought the truck from. The Ford dealer could not find anything wrong with the power steering system at all. He did find a wheel bearing that was seizing up, causing a braking effect to the right, which would release after a bit, which would cause the pull to the left, since I had turned the wheel left to compensate for the pulling to the right. The technician never mentioned the wheel bearing. The Ford technician also could not find any evidence of corrosion on my wiring harness, but he did find a missing fuse, and a blown fuse, both of which the Christian Brothers technician missed. The only thing that the Ford dealer found that agreed with the CB tech was the brakes needing to be replaced. My out of pocket expense at the Ford dealer for the brakes and fuses was $410, which is $490 less than what I would have paid at CB. All told, my experience with Christian Brothers leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I feel that they tried to tack on extra repairs that were unnecessary and way more expensive than they should have been. Plus the fact that the technician did not correctly diagnose the problem in the first place. If I had had the work done there, I might have driven away with a bad wheel bearing, which was a very unsafe experience. Im not normally a fan of going to the dealership, they usually tend to be more expensive than anyone else, but in this case I cannot recommend going to Christian Brothers to anyone.

I would like to say I have always had a great experience with Christian Brothers . I was living in Irving and went to the Christian Brothers location in Valley Ranch area. The whole staff was very nice and took great care of me. I went to Christian Brothers on Midway in Dallas and the Great Experience that I am used to still lives on. I must say that Brian and Jordan and the other guys took care of my Jeep problems and the Courtersy pick ups through the shuttle. The shuttle guy was out taking another customer and one of the staff members decided to just take me so I would not be late for work. How AWESOME was that SERVICE with a SMILE. I had taken my vehicle to another place prior to me turning myself in after going to the rest I had decided to go back to the BEST. Christian Brothers was the winner. I was still having vehicle problems and I spoke to Jordan and Brian and they put their head together and fixed the problem and let me know that I can be pro- active if I wanted to and get another problem fixed so I would not have to come back next week. My vehicle is older and I have not had any major problems with it so I agreed to handle it because it was wear and tear that was bound to happen after the upcoming 200,000 miles point. Just to say the least. The service is and was great. The staff is friendly and kind and knowledgeable if they. Dont know they will get to the bottom of it like they did for me. Some things cost a little bit more than I had and they fixed it to a more comfortablel affordable price for me to be totally satisfied with the work and the service. Thank you Christian Brothers and the Staff. Brian you and Jordan ROCK! Sorry for the long review but I kept thinking of things that i wanted to mention on my review.
