The dreaded registration letter came in the mail last month. As a result of bad experiences at other places, I decided to look up the reviews and was drawn to the great reviews of this City Garage. Two days ago was my first visit. On that day, the gentleman at the front desk advised that they were short and did not have an inspector. He then advised of the multiple days in the near future that they should have an inspector in. Ive been to many garages where Ive heard things like that before as a means of blowing off their customer. Every time, I give the garage a second shot as a courtesy of taking them at their word. After all, if your mechanic cant trust you, how can you trust them? I decided after work today to attempt City Garage again. I was not disappointed. Their word was gold and they had an inspector in. Not only that but they had another friendly gentleman at the front desk who made the entire process as painless as possible while offering great tidbits of knowledge along the way. As I waited for my car to get inspected, I heard that I was not alone in the friendly experience. Everyone from the time I stepped in to the time I left received the same experience. Not only that but at the end of the experience, there was no attempt to up sell me on anything. The good reviews on this place do not lie. Bravo City Garage! I will definitely be back.

This is not just a one time been there and hated it. I have given this place multiple chances to do me right. I continued to go back cause of the low prices but ITS NOT WORTH IT!! Pretty much every time i went in with a problem I came back with the same problem if not bigger. For instance I went in for something simple.... nitrogen in my tires, easy enough until i stopped and checked the preasure(which you shouldnt have to do with nitro) I checked all 4 tires and none of them matched!!! one was 44PSI, 30PSI, 24PSI, and 40PSI (and i had new tires so it wasnt the tires fault). 2nd example I was getting ready to move to a different state so I had them give it a "good look through" got my truck back and they said it looked good no problems(which is good news) went home for easter and it just wasnt riding right so I took it to another place and they found bearings out of whack and front hub needing replaced ASAP, so i called city garage and had them look at it and they agreed it needed work ( uh what happened in the 4 days since you checked it) That place is only good for sales, they got that silver tounge which makes everything sound good but the real issue of getting your car fixed....... THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!! please dont waste your time nor money. I have finally learned my lesson and I WILL NEVER take my truck back there!!

Had a nightmare scenario that was avoided thanks to these guys. Clutch gave out on a weekend trip to Fort Worth, thought I could make it back to Houston but couldnt. It went out Sunday morning. Called AAA and this was the only place open for miles. I was scared crapless they werent going to be able to fix it but they took me in and worked their tales off to get the job done. They brought in an extra mechanic so they could have one on my car all day and stuck around an hour after closing to get me out on the same day. I got warned as soon as I got there that there was a good chance it could be serious and they might not have the right parts to get me home that day and never tried to sweet-talk me. They had to drop my transmission and replace my clutch box, which did cost me a small fortune. Thankfully they were beyond friendly and never made me feel like I was getting hosed. Wish I knew more auto shops like this who make me feel like I am actually being taken care of. Every customer that came in seemed to be remembered and regular visitors. I worked with Stephen all day and he was fantastic. I cannot speak for all locations but the Beach Street location is awesome!

We have been to this garage several times-for basic maintenance and for a couple of problems with our van. The problems with our van have not been the obvious type. Yet, with each problem, the staff here has done everything (working to force the van to die by driving it just outside the shop over and over, researching possible reasons for our problems, looking beyond the codes at the actual van itself, etc) to find solutions. Each time thus far, they have resolved our issue and been able to get us back on the road with our vehicle running well We appreciate the staff and their capacity to hear us, diagnose, and resolve. We also appreciate the warranties they provide with their work. ***As a side note, we have taken the van also to the dealer for the same issues whereby they would look for a code, piddle with a possible solution, charge us an arm and a leg for minor work, and still be wrong. That has NOT happened with City Garage. Just an FYI...

This is the best location for me. It is right next door to my house. I trust them with my cadillac all the time, knowing a lot of shops dont do good jobs working on this type of vehicle they always seem to take care of me. I had an electrical problem recently and they actually didnt want to touch my car so i had to take it to a dealership, understandable because who would want to warranty a cadillac with electrical problems but it was there honestly of that subject that kept me as a customer. other then that i trust them with my car. and the two advisors in the front of the store ALWAYS know whats happening or take care of my car for me. Very friendly and will continue taking my car here when it breaks down. i continue to recommend friends and workers to this garage.

This is my favorite place to bring my cars. I trust the staff here so much that I know that my wife and daughter are safe dealing with them alone. They are great about explaining things so they understand and they find economical ways to solve the problem. I sent a coworker and her daughter here and knew they would be taken care of well. I was not surprised when she called to tell me that the problem was diagnosed quickly and resolved efficiently the first time with a good value. My wife and coworker have both commented on several occasions that they feel very comfortable dealing with Seth and the crew on virtually any issue. Thank you all for going above and beyond the scope of work.

My truck began having engine trouble while I was visiting Fort Worth. Being the only mechanic open on sunday, I decided to bring it there. The guys working in there are awesome. Very friendly and informative. Due to the nature of the problem, it was a long repair, which is understandable, but they got through it as quickly as possible and I was on the road back to Houston as early as possible. After arriving in Houston, I brought my truck in to our family mechanic ( of over 25 years ) and he said the work was done perfectly. I would highly recommend this city garage if your in the Fort Worth or surrounding area.
