I read another review about a "rip off" and decided it may have been an anomaly.. I proceeded to take my Wifes 2005 Escape in for an estimate. I listened in as the Service rep talked with my Wife when he called.. " Fans broke and injured the Radiator".. then the kicker.. "Estimate to repair is $2000" !! .. I worked as a Mechanic while attending A&M.. I have replaced many radiators in my lifetime.. it is normally a 2-3 hour job- the book hours for the Escape had a similar time estimate. I have never paid over $175 for a radiator after shopping prices. A quick search online for the fans found them at $150. $325 was the parts total in parts if I decided to perform the work myself. This is the Den of Wolves in Sheeps clothing.... Their method of operation is to be very pleasant and courteous and then bend you over.,, Charge as high as possible on parts and labor.. then tack on extra "checking services" that are a rouse for making more money.. services an honest mechanic does out of professional courtesy. I still have a copy of their itemized estimate.. and I have copies of parts and labor of actual repair- I decided to farm out the labor and ended up paying $615 to another local Roanoke garage. Families cost enough to run and maintain.. if you value yours stay away from Christian Brothers Roanoke.

OVER CHARGED!! PLUS the main item that i brought the vehicle in for was not done. incredible. a $1000 repair bill for something that should have cost much! less. after going to these folks i took the repair bill to the dealership where i bought the vehicle and i got their prices for same work (and i did not tell them what i paid Christian Brothers or that i even had it repaired, just to keep things fair), the dealerships price was 37% less. and they would have fixed the item that Christian Brothers said they could not find a part for. The dealership said the part was not hard to find and they had several in stock. I also called OReilly Auto Parts and found that they had the part in stock too. Wow, wow, wow My friend warned me about using Christian Brothers but it was convenient so i did not listen. My bad! i should have driven the extra 9 miles to the dealership. Live and learn. buyer beware.

Our experience with CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AUTOMOTIVE has been over the last couple of years. the most recent were repairs between $2000.00 and $3000. The office personnel have poor communication skills with their customers in translating what needs to be repaired in detail and a written cost breakdown.Even though we paid CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AUTOMOTIVE $89.95 to have this privilege we were refused and yelled at disrespectfully. The mechanics are experienced and do their job well. Weve had this problem in the past with CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AUTOMOTIVE on another vehicle, where the problem on the vehicle was never repaired but over $1200.00 worth of other repairs were done after being told that would fix the problem

First of all, these gents can get busy, so I highly recommend making an appointment if you can. Ive done both walk-in and appointment, and I can tell you the latter is a shorter wait time. I had a 10am appointment on 6/10/15 for an oil and filter service, and a state inspection, and I was out at 10:25. Theyre crazy fast, the wait room and free wi-fi is awesome, and most importantly, theyre honest and professional. I have never been screwed by them, which I cannot say about most other auto shops. Ive been going there for years after my service and warranty package expired at the dealership, and it was the best decision Ive ever made for my two vehicles (Camry LE and 4Runner 4WD).

My familys experience with Christian Brothers is this: When a small repair will do the trick, they will tell you, they dont try to oversell. Large repairs cost more, no matter where you go. If the repairs are going to be more costly than the worth of the vehicle, theyll let you know that, too. Specifically, my Dad took a pickup in for repairs and the pickup was only worth about $1,200, the repairs wouldve been around $1,500 so they let him know. Its good to know there are people in this world who run their businesses with integrity, I wouldnt take my pickup anywhere else!

I have been a Customer of the Roanoke Christian Bros since they opened. With each service, their reputation proceeds itself. Their warm and friendly atmosphere along with excellent customer service are always welcoming. Ive gotten 2nd opinions on major repairs for my vehicles and always come back to Christian Bros to have the work done - best prices, best service, best attitude. As for the negative comment below - its State law to charge for a failed inspection. Not CBACs policy. Oil change prices vary - shop around if you arent happy.

At first I was very impressed with the atmosphere you experience when walking into their shop. However, I was told that the tie rod on my car was bent and it would cost almost 700.00 to fix, after going to another shop I was told this was not the case. Once I told them I was just going to do the oil change and not the recommended $700 fix, I was treated differently. I have visited another shop since to get my car aligned and adjusted and the price was no where near that high. I will not be revisiting Christian Brothers Automotive.

Christian Brothers Auto in Roanoke has been a great addition to the area and my family and I have been using it since it opened in 2007. The service is great and we can always count on having our vehicles fixed and ready to go by the end of the work day. The shuttle service is a great accommodation to the business because it allows me to drop off my car before the work day and get picked up from work after my car is finished. Kevin and Mike are very friendly and we have never been disappointed in the service or prices.

Just called to find out when their last oil change time was and was told 5 pm to 5:30 pm. For a person that works 8 am to 5 pm, making it to a facility that is only open during bankers hours is a no go. For a facility that has such high marks, they should consider extended hours for those of us that have bankers hours as well. I cant ding them for anything other than their availability.

Christian Brothers found hub bearings that were bad and went to the trouble to find out I was still under warranty with the dealer. They recommended I go back to the dealer and have the work covered for free. I did that and my car was repaired by the dealer. Remarkable honest assessment and I am entirely grateful. Thank you!

Just had another fantastic experience at Christian Brother of Roanoke Texas. Mr. Francis, the service manger, always greets you with a smile and hello. Service techs do a great job and always get my family and I in and out quickly. I have never had a bad experience at Christian Brothers. They truly live up to their name.
