How often would you take a car to a mechanic and trust them enough to say "fix whatever needs fixing"? Thats what we did with new-to-us cars for my son and daughter, and I was very happy with what they recommended to fix. It was appropriate and cost effective, and below what I had expected. Gierisch has always been very good with our cars, and often have advised that work that other places have recommended is unnecessary. I once took my car in for a leaking washer fluid container (est at $250 by one place) and walked out from Gierisch with a $12 fee for a replaced hose. Cannot think of a better local auto repair place than Gierisch.

I have used Gierisch Brothers in the past with no issue. However, we took our 2005 Lexus in to get serviced and they did a HORRIBLE job. They did not fully explain everything that was wrong with the car and they charged more than the quote without even consulting us on the additional parts/labor. I was very displeased because after spending a lot of money with them, the car still needs a lot more work. I will never use Gierisch Brothers and I will never recommend them to any of my friends or family.

I made an appointment to get an oil change for a mini cooper. they asked if I wanted synthetic or standard oil. I have always user standard. when I picked it up they had used synthetic and charged me $76 for the oil change because it is made by BMW. I emailed the owner after I left and no one replied to me at all. Ive had the car for 2 years and never paid more than $25 for an oil change.
