My experiences at Frisco Auto have been more than one could hope for. We had a 12 year old Tahoe and have a 9 year old G35. The Tahoe had been in a few times and they always took care of it well. One time, the Tahoe threw a OBD 2 code and they reset it by driving it to clear it (yes it takes miles to clear it out of the system). That is just one part of their service that went unasked for and above and beyond the call. In October, the wife crashed the Tahoe and all of a sudden, my brakes appeared to spring a leak of fluid. The seat was creaking and needed to be upholsthered, and the bezel came of the door lock (the plastic part that covers the key hole). We took my car over and I explained the problems to Warren and the owner. He said can I leave tha car? And of course we said yes. MIL had shared her car during this time. 1. He explained the seat creak is not their domain but gave a referral that they use in McKinney for that and upholstery on their rebuilds. Cool. Staight up and I appreciate that even though I have yet to move on it. 2. The bezel he said was a known issue and tough to replace since the car was 9 years old. Didnt think twice as I figured Id have to go to a junk yard to replace if I even did that. 3. Will inspect the brakes and call me. Heres the best part of the story. When done, I tell them about the wifes accident and ask insight into what we should buy. They gave good insight on the market and what is not a repair nightmare. Also, he found a bezel that paint matched for cheap ( I mean cheap) and installed it. Lastly, did a break inspection, brake line test and found nothing wrong. He replaced the fluid, as best I could tell, since I just checked it the day before and it was cleaner than I remember for gratis. The wife picked up the car and paid. When she came home, I aske to see the bill and lets just say I was floored at the price. Frisco Auto, I told my wife I would write a review about you and I am sorry I took this long. Keep up the good and honest work! Jim and Randie

I dropped my car off at Frisco Automotive and Transmission to get a second opinion. My AC was out, and I already had it looked at once at another shop. Not only did they take the time to talk to me about what was going on and what the other shop had told me, but he asked me if I would be okay with leaving my car there because they were pretty busy (and I didnt make an appointment). Later they called and said that my clutch compressor was out, but they called the Honda dealership and found out that this was actually covered under an extended warranty due to a recall, so they suggested that I take my car there. Not only did they go out of their way to find other options for me, but they ended up saving me about $1,200. I dont know of any of mechanic shop that would forego business for the best interest of the customer, but I am so thankful that they did, and I will always bring my car back for work that needs to be done. These are classy, trustworthy guys. They didnt tack on a bunch of other things that they thought I should get done while my car was there, and they definitely werent trying to pull the wool over my eyes. They were doing what was best for me and I would recommend them to anyone.

Dont let this place fool you! I brought my truck in for a simple transmission fluid change. About 3 hours after dropping my truck off I get a call from the jackass front desk man that was working there and he tells me I have a small leak in my cooler (Which I was already aware of). Before I can respond he proceeds to tell me it will cost some outrageous price to replace and do I want them to replace the part? I said "no thanks, not at this time". This obviously shocked and offended him because his response in a cocky tone of voice was..."Well, what are we going to do then?". I said, well unless you already changed my fluid then your not going to be doing anything. This scumbag then says "well then you owe me $40 for a diagnostic test". Let me tell whoever is reading this.... No place out there is going to charge you for that and if they do they have to ask or let you know upfront if they will charge a diagnostic test. This low life was just mad I refused the repair. Stay clear of this place!! Bad business practices!!

They charged $400 for $200 worth of parts. Be careful before you approve any work and make sure you compare prices. I approved work to be done on my car, it seemed high, but I dont know much about cars and was told that the price was a good price by the guy at the front counter, his name was Richard. The next day I went to Autozone and compared identical part#s and I could have got the same parts for $200 (retail) and they charged me $400. I called Frisco Automotive and asked Richard what they charge for parts, and he told me that they always charge retail for parts, when I told him what the true retail price was and that his shop had charged me double, he was silent. He became very rude and belligerent. He then said that basically I was more informed than most of the people that go to his shop. So now everyone is informed. Offered nothing except rudeness. CHECK YELP REVIEWS, SEEMS LIKE MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS.

EDIT: (9/30/16) I stick by everything I said two years ago. The entire shop here is awesome! I dropped my car off during the night and within less 15 minutes of them opening I had a call with the diagnosis and quote for repair. I dont think there are enough nice things I can say about Jason, Warren, and the crew! Just picked up my car not after the 5th or 6th repair they have done on my car. Not only do they service my car, they also service the other cars in my household as well as my parents cars as well. Jason has to be one of the most amazing Service managers I have ever had the pleasure of taking my vehicle to. He has worked with me in the past on high repair bills and we were able to come to a reasonable fix to get me back on the road without breaking the bank! Everyone at Frisco automotive is great, and have never had a bad experience!

Great service...again! These guys were working on generator power after the big storms knocked out power in Frisco. They didnt miss a beat. I got my inspection done and by the time I had to get my oil changed, the power was restored. The team at Frisco Automotive is comprised of top notch people. They are fair and you can rest assured that when they find the issue, they fix it, and the repair is guranteed. I have been going to them for about 8 years and every time, I left as a happy and satisfied customer. For major work like transmissions and engines, Frisco Automotive should be your first and only choice. When you go in, you are greeted with a smile. Jason, Rich, and Warren make sure that they know your name and they care that you remain their customer for life. These fellas really walk the talk on customer satisfaction. I recommend!!!
