Roberto use sarcasm when you ask him questions. That creates a dis.. easment, well it did for me. I came into DFW Discount tire to see if they could check, my car to see why its over heating and wouldnt (in July, hottest time of the year) stay crank. He says well it depends. 1. If its electrical its 75 2. If its something else its 45 (Not bad right) so Im like ok he didnt answer my question... It was stated that its over heating and wont stay crank. He casually went back to look at his computer, never gave me an answer. From the discription that I gave him I thought he might know what he needed to check hes the mancanic. He has a God, complex. So I stood there for some seconds and this is little after five so thats a busy time for them so I was in no rush. I was expecting him to say ok were are your keys and Ill check it out when, or after the 3 customers I have ahead of u are something. It never happened. He wanted to argue maybe? So I left... I set out in the parking lot to wait for a tow... Truck..Roberto, wanted to turn something simple into an argument. Its a busy place might have good service, but Roberto is questionable stay away from him... Dont let him push you into something. While waiting in the heat under a shaded tree for the tow truck, the manager came out to apologize for Robertos behavior... He stated Roberto is a good guy and that he has worked for him 13 years so if he angers one or two customers, no big deal thats why he is tolerated. I told I could see hes a good guy on a certain level, but when it comes to getting your car fixed, hes not trust worthy.

I highly esteem DFW Discount Tire and Auto Co. I will not take my car anyplace else even though I live in Plano...I have recommended them to several people. I am impressed with DFW for the following reasons: 1. They have never quoted me a price that was not the actual price paid upon services rendered. I believe they have sold me parts well below manufacturers retail pricing ... I am talking ROCK BOTTOM PRICE PAID FOR TOP RATE SERVICE! I know because I have done my homework. (My car is is an outmoded KIA, not easy to get serviced anywhere.) 2. I have purchased retread tires from these folks that have lasted me as long as any brand new one I have purchased anywhere. 3. Not only are they extremely courteous, friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE; they shared their mechanical knowledge with me so that I WOULD NOT GET RIPPED OFF ELSEWHERE! (Which in my life, being female, has always been the case.) 4. If one were to look about the counters and the tables, there is an abundance of educational material that pertain to educating the average person about his/her car. I would love to give no star. I gat to there at 2:05pm just for them to check and see what causing my left back side of my 2014 car to be shaking and cant absorb shake of pot hole, loss balance & waving my stiren when I go above 40miles when driving. They drove test my car came back put it on a lift checked underneath the car then parked it for an hour outside and didnt say nothing to me at the waiting room while I thought they were fixing the car. Finally came outside and saw my car abandoned at their parking area. Now its 4:37pm d only work done on my car is the change of my back left side tire. Its 4:40pm now they are about to do an alignment on my car. Im so angry with myself for coming to this place will never ever recommend it to anybody.

I came here to get my car looked at due to a knocking sound. comes to find out a bolt came off my breaks and they informed me I also needed front breaks and rotors. The guy informed me he wouldnt charge me for the bolt. When i asked how much it would be to have my rotors and breaks changed he told me over $300. I decided I would come back later on the weekend and he got upset and told me it would be $25 bucks for the bolt they put back on! Total rip off and rude! first your not gonna charge me but the moment i say i dont want to spend $300 today ill come back now u want $25 for a tiny bolt! never will i return to this place! wish i could give no star

I have been there a couple of times mainly for inspections and oil changes. One of the younger owners is very rude. They put the wring kind of oil. Some of the mechanics are not very knowledgeable when it comes to German cars. Theyre great for tires, inspections, and oil changes. They tried to rip off my wife giving her a quote and she felt was too high. We took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. It ended up being cheaper and did not need all the other stuff dfw tire shop said it needed. If youre not very knowledgeable abou cars they will try to rip you off.

I originally went in for an alignment on my Honda Accord. I was told no alignment would be done until I replaced the control arm on the front left and got new tires. They quoted me $380. I told them that I only had $200. They got me used tires that were in good shape, and showed me the old part in comparison to the new one so that I knew they were being honest. The mechanic had no problem with me stading there while he did the work. The alignment was not prefect but allowed me to go in for realignment at no cost. Straightforward and negotiable.

Ive seen the other reviews and must express caution when reading them. The owner is from the old country in Europe. He believes in a repeat customer. I drive several older cars that he keeps running. Hes always willing to work with me on the cost since he knows hes the only one that will work on my cars. His senior mechanic is sharp and well spoken. He takes time to work with customers

BAD SERVICE! Lie to my face that he check the alignment. Then he try to refund me the money and tell me dont come back here again. I wasnt trying to argue or anything i pay for the service i just wanna know if you did the alignment. Then later he told me he didnt check the alignment because my bushing was bad. Then NOW HE TELL ME? BS trying to make money off me!

My family has been coming here for years (mom, dad, brother, sister and myself). We are always treated well and can TRUST that we will get a great deal. We have shopped around on deals and always come back because the prices are always more than fair. The quality of work is always great and being treated like family is a bonus. Would recommend.

Do not go here for anything. They are clueless. I spent over $2000 to try and fix my car and have nothing to show for it. They are a rip off. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else. Even if your car breaks down in their parking lot pay the extra money to have it towed somewhere else. It will be worth the money.
