AVOID this moving company. Here are some facts we experienced when we tried to move our belongings from A to B, with one month storage in between. When picking up our household items: * movers arrived 1 hour late, we received no notification * they started to wrap everything in blankets (although I told them certain items are not fragile at all) - as a result they ran out of blankets and used shrink-wrap to "protect" the last pieces of furniture... * they forgot to number our items with their stickers and realized after half-way done, so had to stop loading the truck and put stickers on what was already loaded... which took forever. * One guy grabbed the tips I prepared from my hand, saying "Ill take care of that". Unexpected. I hope he shared with his two colleagues. * Overall very inefficient, I had to wrap and load stuffs myself to stay within the estimated time After one month of storage, at the time of planning delivery: * They sent an invoice, and requested to pay it before delivery. The amount was much higher than the "Not-to-exceed" price agreed on the signed quote (although we stayed within the estimated time when loading). * When calling to protest, they admitted they input the wrong number of hours for loading and warehouse handling (sic). But even after this correction the total cost was still 50% more than the "Not-to-exceed" price we agreed on. * We were still contesting, claiming that they should stick within the agreed price ("not-to-exceed" already includes a 10% contingency). So they required us to pay CASH for the services they rendered so far to "release" our items, and to contract another company to have our stuff delivered to B. Unbelievable. Having our items HOSTAGE in their warehouse and running short of time, we decided to comply so we can have our items released and organized the delivery ourselves. Overall, the service provided by this company is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and their management is extremely DISHONEST. They obtained our business by sending a nice sales guy to our place to make a competitive quote. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews before I contracted this company; we are not the first ones who had this terrible and stressful experience. Hopefully some will find it useful before contracting a moving company, especially if they obtained an appealing quote from them...

Will never use Road Runner in Houston again. They quoted us a decent price so we decided to go with them. They came to pack a day late, two days later find out they misrepresented our quote and tell us we are over 2500 lbs, costing an extra $2600! How they could be so far off is beyond me, we only added in two small items and ten extra boxes. We settled in paying half at $1300. We are told they will deliver July 1-3.....a couple days before delivery they call and say it could be an extra week which keeps getting pushed out. Finally after repeatedly calling they put our belongings in giant crates and ship..2 weeks late! A local company comes to unpack and 4 of the 9 crates have water damage, including my 80 year old China hutch. The local company reports the situation to road runner, no calls...I call and ask referred to the manager, Ben, whom I call. Very rude from the beginning stating they are not responsible for the lateness of our cargo and will not reimburse us for extra expenses. Said he had no idea how we could have water damage but hell send me a sheet to fill out...never sends it. Had to call again...worst company. They give us a false quote, we pay it..they continue with bad service but were not reimbursed! Would never recommend this company or the counterpart Atlas!

These guys took forever to unpack an international move. On the day of the unpacking, they were nowhere to be found - got the day wrong showed up about 3hrs late....... When I called the office the receptionist or whoever was especially rude and inconsiderate. Somehow, since I had to assist with my own tools, to put pieces together as per company policy, i brought out my $150 DeWalt hammer drill/screwdriver tool. My mistake for bringing it out as it "disappeared" later in the day, thus far never to be found. My primary international moving company who hired them for local service had to cut me a check for 3/4 of the value of replacement as a "goodwill gesture". Roadrunner also had to cut me a check for half the value of replacing horribly scratched laminate flooring. Other damages I have to eat. Never again.

If I could give them zero stars I would... When our move date was set I specifically asked them to call before they came as they had given a two hour window for arrival which never happened. Once they arrived the crew proceeded to eat breakfast which was a clear indication that they werent ready to begin working. They were also very slow and a few of the workers were on their phones most of the day. Once they finally started loading up the truck I saw them drop multiple boxes. They also missed packing several items and had to be told multiple times which rooms were still not completed. Save yourself the trouble and find another company!! I wouldnt refer them to anyone.. The whole process from beginning to end was handled poorly!

We were pleased with the storage portion of our experience with Roadrunner - with the exception of 3 damaged pieces. However, they did volunteer to repair them at their cost and have them delivered to us. My complaint - this has been over 5 1/2 months ago and we still do not have all of our furniture back from them - after they told us it would only take a few weeks!!!! And - you have to keep calling them to remind them..........they dont call you.

My wife and I were flooded out of our home by Harvey. Even before the water receeded, I contacted Butch Butcher with Road Runner about helping us move our slavageble items out of the house. The work was completed under very difficult conditions. The crew was thoughtful and courteous. Butch is an honest, reliable and trustworthy. If you are planning to move, I recommend you give Butch and the RoadRunner Team a call.

Pack/load team said estimator was way off so they were unhappy. Damage to dresser, bookcase, and new front load washer & dryer from improper strapping. Five pieces of very sentimental jewelry went missing, including my original engagement/wedding rings. They wrapped my canned goods in a double layer of paper for a 90 mile move. Only reason that I can think of is to increase the weight so they could charge more.

Most unprofessional moving company I have ever dealt with. Destroyed multiple furniture items, a $1,200 treadmill and used a dirty truck to track dirt all over my house. Very lazy and slow movers. Manager never returns calls. You are better off just having your friends and family help you move. Dont know how they are in business. Worst move ever!!!!!

Butch Butcher, Shane Kent & Nikki Muskopf are simply the best at what they do. They were timely, efficient, accommodating and all of their crew handled my possessions with care. Im about to use them again for a residential move and I wouldnt hesitate to use them for any commercial or business needs as well.
