We did a long distance move from the midwest to the south Houston area. I researched several companies and ended up going with Upack because of other reviews, pricing, and friendliness of the customer service reps. The whole experience from pick up to drop off went absolutely perfectly. It was so easy to schedule drop-off and pickups. I will definitely use Upack again. My only complaint is that we used the trailer instead of the pods, which was great, but the divider was incredibly difficult to install. Thank goodness my husband is very strong and handy and was able to figure it out. If you use a trailer, you may need help putting the divider in. Lastly, a word of caution. I HIGHLY recommend hiring a professional moving company to load your items in the trailer/pod. Make half of your boxes medium to light in weight so they can stack to the top. If you want your stuff to arrive in good condition, it has to be packed well!! The Upack driver that dropped off our trailer in Texas asked us if we packed our own stuff. We told him no, that we had hired movers to load it. He said it was worth it because our stuff looked great - in perfect condition - barely shifted from how it was loaded. We shipped several Ikea items including dressers, desks, and box shelves. Nothing broke and we had maybe a handful of small scratches on our stuff. Amazing!!! Worth it!!

I highly recommend U-Pack. You have 3 business days to load and 3 to unload. (So if you get the trailer on Friday, the weekend doesnt count.) Both drivers were friendly, helpful & informative. U-Pack has excellent customer service, so I was always able to get ahold of someone with a question. We moved 1,440 miles and everything we packed well was in perfect condition. I will say the trailer bounces a lot on the road so be sure and use foam around furniture that may shift and wrap breakables well. We had computers and 60" tvs and they were fine in bubble wrap and tv boxes. The drivers on both ends also called about an hour in advance which was great. *Pack high and tight with heavy items first! It was helpful to purchase a lock at HomeDepot for the overnights. (They provide a lock in transit but not while loading) We used nylon twine about 1/8" thick, which tied tightly to the slots in the side of the walls and held nicely. The quote they gave me was inexpensive and accurate. The ramp is heavy duty with grips all the way up, so no slipping while loading/unloading. My 17 yr old son could set up and take down the ramp easily by himself. No doubt well use them for all our future moves! Hope this was helpful as I rely heavily on good reviews myself!

My name is Eric B. I have a ABF Pro# 1622***** which was scheduled for delivery today3/7/2016 by 8pm. I called to check with ABF at 1610 and I was told that the driver was in Pearland, Texas and that he had a stop in Alvin, Texas and then my delivery. I was told I would get a 1 hour notice via telephone. I called again at 1900 and they said he was on his way. I never received a 1 hour notice and I never received my delivery. Donald Duncan is the driver and he is falsifying documents I was told he was back at the yard by 1900. How come this driver did not deliver my package? I missed a whole days pay to be lied to? And now I have to miss another day because Donald Duncan decided he did not want to do his job that he was paid for? He put on the ticket that no one was here I had been up since 0600 awaiting delivery. I am not happy about being lied to. I have infrared video surveillance on the house and there was no vehicle that came to my place nor did anyone knock on my door? Thank-You Eric B.

Worst experience ever. The deminsions they explained to me wasnt enough space for my belongings. I felt like they straight up lied to me with everything that they said to me over the phone after everything that had happened today with my experience with them. They never showed up on time which they promised me was around 12-4 pm. They also said they would call me ahead of time when they were going to arrive which never happened. I had to call a numerous of amount of times to speak to someone about my situation. They kept giving me the run around with the estimated time arrival and kept transferring me to several opperators. When the driver finally arrived he told me he wasnt even informed or aware that he was supposed to deliever to my location when he finally showed up 8 pm.. I scheduled movers for 4 pm so we can pack everything and leave by 5-6 pm max which failed and wasted everyones time. Im so upset. I hope this never happens to anyone else. .

This was one of the best experience I have had when it comes to moving. I have moved from a few different cites not and this company and employees made this move easy and efficient. From the first time I called to order my u-pack pod the customer service representative was very helpful. When the driver came to drop off the pod, he was very professional and on time. I had to call this company a few times because i thought i might need a second pod, the were very accommodating with adding an additional pod and gave me a good price on this. The driver came to pick up the pod and was very helpful. He even helped me pack some of my items in the pod from my apartment. I can go on and on and on but I think that everyone I dealt with i was very impressed and would recommend them to everyone who is looking for prompt, professional and friendly service. Thank you!

Moved from Houston, TX area to northern Indiana. U-Pack was such a breath of fresh air to work with. Their customer service from the rep that generated my qoute to the drivers to the local terminal dispatch agents was phenomenal. No hidden costs, no surprises, no gimmicks, just straight forward facts and genuine people that care about your move. We have a 6 month old daughter so the flexibility of having the trailer for 3 days both ways to pack/unpack was great. We were quoted 12 feet on the truck and I managed to get our stuff into 8 feet (truck is 9 feet high and 8 feet wide, fits A LOT per cubic foot) and they prorated us just over $200 like they said they would! Everything arrived on time and we were overall extremely satisfied with the move. Stress free, move at your own pace, prices set up front, great customer service!

They were great on the phone with useful informative information to make the process go smoothly. Prompt email notification and additional helpful information. The delivery guy was awesome with insight for us on packing to have no damage and suggestions for packing. After we finished packing, we called and they came out the next day to pick up at time designated. The container got from Houston to California in 3 days! We could track its progress online as it went from state to state. They local distribution center in California called to schedule delivery to our driveway the day after it arrived in California. Great service, professional and all our belongings were in perfect condition. We even got a great discount coupon online.
