Went in for an oil change. Had coupon for $19.99 with tire rotation. They came back with over $850 worth of "necessary" repairs that he suggested getting taken care of ASAP. One of the items was a new serpentine belt because mine is currently "in really bad shape" but when I looked, it seems as though the "cracks" are minimal since it was replaced less than a year ago (about 5000 miles, MAX). He also said that my washer fluid reservoir is shot. His exact words were "we went to fill up your washer fluid and it just ran directly onto the ground". By that, I take it as the crack is actually affecting the fluid level. He also wanted to replace my rear end brakes completely. I refused all services, told them to finish up the tires and get me out of there. When I drove in before they touched anything, I didnt have a pulsating brake pedal, when I left, it feels like ABS its pulsating so bad. Then, I get home to survey the damage to the washer fluid reservoir, and the crack is at the VERY TOP! The fluid is completely full and there is absolutely no way that it "ran directly onto the ground" unless he wasnt actually aiming at the reservoir at all. Thanks Midas, I will seek ALL future service anywhere but with you. I would rather pay twice as much than deal with your underhanded, greedy lies that are trying to get me to pay for unnecessary repairs.

THESE GUYS ROCK!!! Recently had my A/C go out on my Tahoe, bad timing considering 100+ weather right now. Took it in and got few parts replaced as it seemed that the extent of the damage ended at those parts. Come to find out that it did not! As u can imagine i was a bit frustrated with the fact the problem wasnt solved and came to understand that there was no way to determine the full extent of the damage until those parts were replaced first. Unfortunately it wasnt, however these guys were right on top of it and really went beyond the call of duty not only to make it right but save me money in the process. I will not deal with any other shop from this point forward. These guys are honest, credible and professional. Joe the Mgr. there is an absolute professional and was very helpful throughout this process. Ill say it again YOU GUYS ROCK! Many thanks Omar K. Gonzalez

I took my car to Midas on Saturday for an oil change and was told my trans coolant line had a leak and Philip asked me if I wanted them to replace it. He also told me the previous shop that changed my oil stripped the oil plug but he rethreaded it for me at no cost. I declined the fix to my hose leak and paid for oil change and left. Next day had about 1 quart of oil on driveway. Spoke to the manager, Charles, on Monday in person and he said that according to receipt I declined the drain plug. I told the manager I was not offered a drain plug. The manager said he would contact the owner and get back to me. It is Wednesday, no response from the manager so I took my car to to another shop and have confirmed that there was no trans coolant leak and that now I need a new oil pan, plug $436. Dont trust Midas. Dishonest and obviously show no concern for their customers.

I have been taking my car to Mike , Joe and Charles for the past 8 years. They have serviced my Lexus and both of my Navigators 2007 and my 2012. I just bought a used 2002 Jeep Wrangler and I took it directly to Mike . I knew work needed to be done , what used jeep doesnt need work. They guys looked it over , ranked the project as to what was the most important and gave me options on the work that was needed as far as parts, importance and they showed me each challenge I was facing and explained the ins and outs of each issue . I dont even know of doctors who take this much care and give that much direction. All I can say is I am glad that living in a big city , I have people who I totally trust and work with me to help take care of my autos and I cannot stress how much I appreciate their quality work, honesty and professionalism .

This is my first review and only becuase the expeience was so upsetting. Originally I took my car to this Midas for brakes but when the price increased by over 50% I felt like I was being taken advantage of by the mechanic. I called and asked for the owner who blew me off and let the mechanic take the call. My next call was to Wylie Firestone who quoted me a price for the same exact work with a significant savings. I had been to THIS firestone before and had a good experience. My subconscious said I should take it to Firestone and I should have listened. So far I have had 3-4 visits to this Firestone with fair prices and a VERY positive experience. Midas has lost my business for good! SHAME ON THEM.

My wife went to this Midas for an oil change. Not only did they lie about the price, but they tried to upsell my wife an air filter. All that doesnt warrant a bad review. But they screwed up the actually oil change so badly that the car was unsafe to drive. The car leaked so much oil that my garage and my wifes parking space at work were soaked before a coworker told her what was going on. When I called Midas, they "generously" offered to fix their mistake for free-- costing us another Saturday afternoon. They refused to refund the initial oil change. FYI-- this midas is under new management. Dont belive the good reviews from 2006. Buyer beware-- stay away from here!

Took my 2013 Ford F-150 Ecoboost in for an oil change (synthetic) and rotation. Next trip to the dealer for scheduled maintenance, they informed me that a $300 transmission cover sheild needed to cool the Ecoboost system was missing from my truck and it had to have been removed for an oil change to be done. On the 3rd try to contact the manager he informed me that they did not have the piece and it had been to long since the work had been done, and the owner was not going do anything about it. Since I live in Ohio, I have no real recourse but to warn others. My $70 oil change will now cost me close to $400. Thanks Midas of Plano!
