1) Internet works pretty well I have no complaints there 2) Cable, not so much! When I first had it installed in my previous apartment it came with all of the movie channels for some odd reason and then my box would go in and out with random messages popping up and not allowing me to use it ( I had it for a week ) I then moved and the SAME CABLE BOX died on the rep as he was trying to install everything, thankfully he had a different box in his work truck. I just paid my FIRST bill with this company and let me say this - they better freaking start explaining these TAXES with their customers when they join! AND NOT WHEN THE BILL GETS HERE! How is my plan $89 and $12 modem rental but Im paying over $40 IN TAXES a month! Ridiculous! My cable get sketchy sometimes and this NEW BOX has also kept giving me the notifications that made me have to call, and how the box has to update and this and this, again I just made my FIRST BILL and Ive already had to call this company 5-6 times since having service. 3. After reviewing Yelp and google I can assure you, save this service as a last resort, I cant believe I see people saying TWC is worse than this.?? Ive had TWC for ever and HAD ALO T MORE CHANNELS and faster wifi PLUS MY BILL WAS CHEAPER ($130) each month, do your research about this company before joining them people... I have no complaints about SERVICE yet, but those taxes are just stupid to me. Thankfully they allow you to cancel at anytime for free :) 4. Oh and when you see everyone saying the same thing ( it seems as if their reading from a script and arent professional, yes I had that feeling earlier when I called about my bill ) little human robots. Sorry I had to come and re edit this - the reason I called today was I got an email saying your Feb 12th bill is ready to view ( almost 300 bucks!!!!!! ) So I call and I ask why the heck is my bill showing like this? Oh its because the bill was due on the 11th and you paid on the 13th so when you paid two days late the bill was already posted, FIRST OF ALL my bank statements dont lie and nor does the email from your company saying thank you for your payment on this date. The bill was paid on the 11th but your COMPANY AND USAA didnt release the funds until the 13th which has nothing to do with me lady. Its like they hired a 8th grader to fill whoever I spoke with earlier today. So yes be aware your next month bill will be shown to you 1 day after you paid your previous bill and if the transaction hasnt reach their account within 5 seconds then you will have two payments on your billing cycle. Oh Grande since your going to read this, contact USAA and ask them why it took two days to get into your account or is this a problem on your end, because it sat in pending for two days.. okay then

Grande provides basic cable television to the place where I live; so when my internet provider shut down late last year, I chose Grande Communications for internet, as well. The product itself is pretty reliable. The actual "service" that goes along with it, however, runs the gamut; and if I were to have rated the company solely on my two initial experiences - or the most recent - with Grande reps, Id have given 1 star. First off, the English-challenged person who took my internet order mangled the spelling of my name - badly - and kept asking me questions Id already answered. Finally, she understood that I dont need cable (its a perk of the community where I live - paid for by the landlord), so she quit attempting to up-sell. Installation was scheduled pretty quickly, and the installer was on time and was pleasant enough. There is, however, only one working receptacle in the room where both my television and computer reside; and to connect me to the internet, the tech unplugged the cable to the TV - something I discovered a few days later when I tried to watch the news. So: I wound up having to go to the store to purchase a second (LONG) coaxial to run into the bedroom, where the second working receptacle is. Had several really good experiences after the "meh" ones: nice folks in accounting, a nice person assisting me in getting the spelling of my name resolved, a nice person taking my call to report service outage. A few days ago, though, my service was again on the fritz. I rebooted everything, and still couldnt connect to the internet. Just to be on the safe side, I checked the TV - no service there, either. The sweet person who connected me with technical support was terrific, but the tech person was abrasive and not terribly astute. Instead of asking me to do this or do that, she issued curt orders; "Give me your name"; "Give me your PIN"; then she said, "Well," [insert attitude HERE:], "I dont show that you have cable, so Im not going to troubleshoot it". As I was correcting her statement, the connection - luckily - straightened out. I thanked her and hung up. The bottom line is this: Grande is somewhat preferable, in my opinion, to at least one other provider in San Antonio; and its far preferable to nothing at all. It appears, though, that they dont provide adequate training for their employees - I see no other explanation for the wide disparity in quality of customer service and support from one instance to the next. Based upon my contact with Grande, I wouldnt necessarily discourage anyone from signing up with them; but I definitely would recommend evaluating all options before making a final choice.

If you have a choice dont get service with this company. Over 2 years Ive asked for only internet service but they said its cheaper to "bundle". Flat out lie. Forgot to pay my bill which has never been an issue I just pay it. No big deal. Not this time they hit me with crazy deposit fees, and re-installation fees!! One day!!!! The lady had no answer as to why after over 2 years of no issues on my part I was being charged these ridiculous fees. She was rude so I asked for a manager to call me back. 8:57 pm I missed a call. Called back at 9 pm guy said manager went home. He said someone would call in the morning. Nothing. Reached out on Facebook , no email or call. Later on Facebook mellisa said some one would get back to me. Yeah right. Only now is my internet only bill lower. The HD quality is horrible. My HD attenna is better looking. The regular cable channel picture quality is even worse. The internet speed I was paying for was slower. They never fixed it. Only reason I use them is because the apartment complex doesnt allow Time Warner cable. If I could rate negative 5 stars even that would be too high a rating. Im looking for another internet provider. Then Im gone. Doubt Ill get my deposit back.

I updated my internet with them shortly after getting the internet. Their modem is terrible and so I had to buy a $70 router actually get the most of what I was paying for. When I upgraded, I told the guy on the phone I wanted the highest they offered because the lowest was terrible, I couldnt watch a single video on youtube. He said okay and I hung up. The internet got a little better, but still terrible until I got the router. I check my internet speed one day and was getting 400 mbps, which was pretty good. I looked at my bill and was being charged like $75 and $90 at one point - which is their 1000 mbps package. So I really should have been paying like $50 for the 400 mbps offer. When I called the see about lowering my monthly payment and being reimbursed the $20 for about 6 months, they said they couldnt back date anything because "thats the way its set up on the account". They said they didnt always offer the 1000 mbps so when I asked for the highest available the 400 was the highest they had... which is fine, if they didnt charge me $75 a month since I upgraded. Pretty crooked of them. Internet is terrible unless you have a router, then it actually gives you what you pay for.
