We moved to this location in September 2011 and had mail returned for a month when I learned someone mailed me something that was returned to sender because our mailbox was dissing acted unoccupied even though we went into Post Office and asked how do we get mail at out location and were told it's only at central location that you can& can't have a mailbox in front of your home!!! What century are we in ??? Then we were told go home bring your sales contract showing we bought the property and then they will rekey the box at the main street entrance which is 1/2 mile or do from our house and they will come to our house and bring us a key! They did and for a month we check the mail, daily inconveniently, and receive nothing ! Till we learn our mail is being returned to sender! We call post office and leave a message for post master no response! Finally I again drive the 13 miles in and stand in line for 20 minutes or so till Post Master finds a moment to come talk to me! Then was told we were to fill out the unoccupied green form in our box so that mail clerk would know we were now living there! WTH??? We been checking the mail everyday waiting on a letter and there is no green unoccupied form in our box!!! Why were we not told this the 2 previous visits to the Main St Post Office getting our contract to them and them bringing us a key to check our box??? Plus had stopped and asked clerk delivering mail once at 6 PM if she had mail for us!!! Post Master says well here is the form, he went and got the green form to show me what it looked like that was suppose to have been in my box yet didnt give it to Me to fill out instead he wrote our name address phone number on white sheet of paper and says will get it taken care of! Haha the next day that green form was in our mailbox for me to fill out!!! Hahahaha stupid!!!

I spent more than six months and seven trips to this post office to finally get mail delivered to my address after moving from Killeen to Temple. Three times they told me it/we werent even in the system yet Id been there several times before. (My change of address was done through the USPS website with my bank verification so it was not for lack of proof. Getting charged for it.) Every time I confronted the carrier (four times) at the mailbox our names were not even on the box even after asking and writing on the card all four times. I consistently got told it was carriers faults, they could not get decent carriers or some other random excuse. I have NEVER had such a bad experience with just getting mail delivered before. There is no way to send outgoing mail from our location unless you take it to the office and hope they send it out, or you chase down a carrier and get attitude from the carriers for asking them to do their job. Im almost scared to death when I move back to Killeen in a couple months I wont see mail for another half a year or longer because of their inability to deliver mail properly. Its a wonder why people dont use mail as often as they used to. You couldnt pay the people that work for the post office here to get much less have a clue or care. OH just this morning attempted to send some packages where postage was paid for on the USPS Priority mail..and there is no where IN the post office to put even the small boxes. They have a hole in a door that lets envelopes in. They wont ever pick anything up so I just spent over 21 bucks for packages that have to be mailed out today and betting thats not going to be possible unless I camp the carrier and deal with their crappy attitude to send off packages Ive already paid to send.

I get that everyone wants to complain about the post office but I am being completely objective here. My main question for the Post Master would be why the city of Temple has ONE post office. It makes no sense. My main issues are: 1) The hours are absolutely useless to anyone other than a retiree. The hours are 8:30-4:30 during the week and NO weekend hours. I am at work! Therefore, I am forced to use my lunch hour to accomplish anything here or drive to Belton on a Saturday. Obviously, customer needs are not a consideration in the slightest. 2) The quality of mail delivery is way sub par. All of our neighbors have to deliver mail to others as we all get the wrong mail on a regular basis. 3) Our neighborhood has issues with package theft. I live in a house with a porch that has railings and hedge around it. Instead of putting my box to the side where it isnt visible from the street, they put the packages in the middle of the porch in front of the steps. I also have a basket for packages right under my mail slot which only gets used about 50% of the time. Obviously, security isnt a concern either. Once its out of their hands, oh well. Our neighborhood has complained to the manager here multiple times but nothing has changed. Unfortunately, we dont really have a choice but to deal with them.

I have never had 1 single good experience with the Temple Post Office. If my mail and packages were being delivered to my correct address, rather than showing "DELIVERED" on the tracking number and and finding an empty package locker, then I would not have to even interact with the Temple Post Office at all! I no longer give them my business, I choose to pay more somewhere else. My problems continually come from mis-delivered packages that I do not have the option of choosing a different service for delivery. I have been calling for 3 days straight with no one answering the phone or the line is busy for an extremely long time. Finally getting through, they tell me to keep calling every 30 minutes to speak with a supervisor who will not take my call. I have tried to go into the facility and experienced nothing but a long line out the door and extremely unhelpful people at the desk telling me they do not have my package even though the carrier said they brought it back. After the hustle, they finally went to look and found it in the back in the "wrong" place. I would just like to get my TWO missing packages with over $100 work of time sensitive material inside and be done!

This post office is absolutely terrible. I manage an apartment complex and yesterday I received a call from a resident letting me know that the mail man LEFT OPEN OVER 50 MAIL BOXES. How do you manage to do that? The post office was already closed and so I had no way to lock the boxes back up. I had to stay late at work because I had to go down and collect all the mail out of the boxes and carry it all back to the office. ....it gets worse. I call first thing this morning to have this issue taken care of. I get a busy signal. I continue to try to call for nearly 2 hours and never got an answer. I then called the main number and waited on hold for 30 minutes before a lady answered. She told me she would put in an "EMERGENCY REQUEST" and that someone should be out shortly. Well.... that was over 3 hours ago and no one has been here. Im currently waiting to take my lunch break because I dont want to miss the maill man because he needs to put these big bags of mail back where it belongs. Absolutely ridiculous.
