1 STAR-My coworker said she needed to get an oil change for her car. I told her to go anywhere but the Firestone by the Walmart on College Park Dr. I still hold a grudge from when I went here probably 3 or 4 yrs ago... Went in for an oil change and they told me my alternator belt needed to be replaced as well. That it had cracks in the belt, etc and it wouldnt last me past winter time with the weather/temperature change. (very convincing story). Well I didnt have them replace it, but my boyfriend went and bought a new belt for me. When he went to put it on, he called me to look at it and he says, "umm, this belt is fine. No cracks, or frays or anything." (I guess I should have had him check before going to buy one). I still have that car and have still never replaced that belt! Anyway, obviously, Im a trusting female and also am not that knowledgeable about cars. But I cant recommend a place that would take advantage of a young girl, single mom, elderly man or woman, or a man that maybe didnt get to be shown how to work on a car growing up.I have heard plenty of stories about car shops lying to get more money out of people, but I still have always hoped that kind of thing wasnt true. Its really disappointing, but I can never recommend this place. Every time I pass by it and see it, it makes me sick. Maybe thats a little overboard, but its how I feel after being lied to. I asked for an oil change, rotation and tune up. Also needed a headlight fixed. These assholes didnt even do any of it. They didnt even move my truck but called me 6hrs later and told me it was ready. My headlight was still out and they pulled it in to fix it and still didnt do it I finally got them to do it but it took 2more hours to fix the headlight. My truck the next day said I needed an oil change. They completely blew me off. Do not go here!! Some big ugly dude with beard thinks hes slick. Josh S is awkward and liar. Doug was the tech on the receipt. Pat is a terrible manager! They didnt care and i was really bummed that people do this. Where did all the good people go

These guys are full of it and do what it takes to get you in and sell you Crap you dont need. I called ahead to see if there was a wait and was told no they could get me right in. I told them I was down the road and would be there in 10 to 15 mins . Once I got there they where full with people waiting. I told the guy that I just called and he said" yeah a bunch of people just came in" . If you cant trust them to say how busy they are,how can you trust them to not ripe you off .

Great service every time I stop in here. Always helpful and explain (and even take you into the shop to show you) what issues there are with your vehicle. If you are habitually unlucky with your car, this is a great shop. Friendly staff remember you and can help you find an acceptable price if youre in a tight spot. Cant recommend enough! Service time is about average for a car shop but Ive never waited more than 3 hours, even for complicated A/C repairs.

My wife was Traveling alone to Galveston and had an issue. I called in advance to see if they can help her out since I could not. She got there and they adjusted her air pressure and told her it would take up to 2 hours check it out. She left upset and unresolved. I called ahead to the next Firestone in Spring TX where they took care of here and had her traveling safety with no further issues. Shame on you The Woodlands, customer service lost.

I was gonna have to wait 3-4 hours for a balance and rotate on my tires . . So I said what if I make an appointment . . The next appointment available was Thursday at 1 . . Today is Tuesday . . I will not buy another set of tires from Firestone ever again . . Ive never been able to walk in any Firestone anywhere in Houston, Katy, Kingwood, or Woodlands and be waited on in a timely manner. DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM FIRESTONE!

My car was pulling to the right so I brought it in for an alignment. 20 min later they call me and tell me everything was aligned and ready for pickup. As soon as I get on the freeway it still pulls. So I take it to the shop on 2920 and kuykendahl. They put it on the rack to check the alignment. The back 2 wheels are completely out. I will never go to the 242 location again. These people are crooks.

hard sales and very pushy to open credit account. I had unnecessary services on my recommendation report. I received poor service from the manager after I politely refused service. the technician was great and helpful but did make a couple of mistakes in his diagnosis. they do aim to take advantage of people who are unfamiliar with vehicles and mechanics.

Brought in my car when I was on a road trip because my brakes were squeaking really badly the day before. They inspected brakes and everything else for free and determined everything was good. Made me feel better about driving back home. This was on a Sunday so it took awhile but I appreciated them not trying to hustle me and tell me I needed new brakes.

The team here was very professional and efficient. Miguel made sure I was taken care of and that I left with a tire that would meet all my needs. I kept changing my mind on which tire I wanted yet Miguel still was there to prove each option out on several different days, even offering to show me in person each tire I had to choose from. A+ team here.

This Firestone tried to convince me that I needed new rotors when I went for brake service. They even refused to replace my pads unless I purchased new rotors. I took my car down the street to Brake Check. They showed me the specs and the rotor measurements and said my rotors were fine. In my opinion this Firestone is not trustworthy.

I had then balance and rotate my tires on my new VW one year ago and they caused $600 in damage to the sensors which I had to have repaired at the dealership after I complained they refund my $600 but not the original charge for repairs which they messed up which was over a $100 dollars. Never again these guys are nit wits.

Very happy with the service I received today. Got a brake job, new air filter and windshield wiper blades. Extremely courteous service writer. I will definitely return here in the future.

I was duped into waiting alost 2 hours for a state inspection that was promised in less than an hour. Dont expect tires or service any faster. The Service Manager was nice and polite.
