The real problem is the owner. There is no upper management, so if you have an issue you have to hunt down the owners and they make you jump through hoops to even get acknowledged. I was also told by an employee at this location that "The owners husband is a lawyer and hell handle me alright" My experience was at the location in Ogden, but this issue stems beyond that and to the owner. I would have never got into business with anything she ran if I knew what I would have to deal with. There are also multiple reviews stating the managers are verbally abusive at different locations. Aside from the managers being completely incompetent and confused by their job responsibilities they are unprofessional. I have been told to “shut up” multiple times and that telling me basic information about my contract with your company is “none of my business and not their job”. They have refused to answer questions about the automatic withdrawals simply because they don’t know. Their exact words when I asked why Beehive storage was taking money out of my account when they are called Storage City were “I have no idea, and that’s all I can tell you.” At one point they even asked eachother who Beehive Storage was. As a company that has my personal bank information they need to be able to supply that information. After spending about an hour of research I finally got in touch with someone who could explain to me that the location that processes the credit cards is called Beehive Storage. They turned my simple concern into a huge ordeal where I was scared my bank information was in the wrong hands. My debit card was updated and that was an issue for Storage City and they were having trouble charging my card. I received a letter stating that I had a late payment, as soon as I got the letter I called and made a payment and paid the late fee. The next month it happened again. I asked what the issue was and was told yet again “I have no idea and I have no idea how to help you” So I made the payment and didn’t know what else to do. The third payment was declined and I was sent a certified letter with a past due bill for last month and this month with a late fee and I was being charged for the certified letter. It also stated I was going to be locked out of my unit and it would be put up for auction. The day I got the letter I drove down there to personally resolve this. I told them the situation and they immediately started trying to put blame on me and make me feel like I was someone who didn’t pay my bills and this is what I deserved. We finally figured out the card had just needed to be updated. I asked them why they didn’t just change it when I called two months in a row to pay or mention that this wasn’t a mistake and that my card was expired. Or why didn’t they call me to let me know there was such a big issue. I was told my phone number was wrong in your system, I then requested to see my original paperwork and my phone number was in fact correct. To me this is a lack of common sense, disorganization and lack of effort to solve a simple issue and be a respectable business who values their customers. This is simple office keeping and I can’t imagine they have never ran into this issue with any other tenant. Even after all this I wanted to stay with the business. I verified my new card information and verified my already existing correct phone number and requested we just move on from this. A few days later I got a letter in the mail stating I had to be out in three weeks! With no reason behind it, I’m up to date on all my bills and resolved the issue. This is a poorly ran location and as an owner I would be mortified to hear that it was being ran the way it is. This is beyond little mistakes, I have been over charged, insulted, demeaned, and mislead and now I’m being evicted for no wrong doing on my part.

THEY RIPPED ME OFF FOR ALMOST $1,000.00 DONT RENT HERE!!! I had a unit for around 5 years and paid my rent on time without exception. (Unit H11 if the owners are reading this). About two years after I started, they raised the rent on me (which is fine). I started making the new payments and did not realize I was over paying each time. For some reason I was confused about the new payment amount. I went on like this for a couple more years (over paying) my monthly dues. Nobody sent me a statement, a refund check, or anything else. I had no idea I was over paying until I moved out. The day I was moving out, I checked in with the site attendant. It was then that he informed me that my account had a credit of around nine hundred and something dollars. He gave me a printed off ledger and told me the main office would be cutting me a check for the amount I had been over paying. I thought this was good news and felt a little stupid for having over paid all those years, but was happy to be getting an unexpected check! Weeks turned into months. I never saw a check. I called the site attendants office multiple times and was told there was nothing they could do. I asked for the number to the main office so I could contact accounts payable directly and they told me they were under instruction to NEVER give out the main office number to any renters. This seemed odd and somewhat shady. To the owners of this establishment. You have my name, you know my unit number and your records will clearly show you owe me this money. Please send me a check and I will retract or update this review. Whats right is right! You cant rip people off like this and expect to not hear about it!

This is the worst place to store your valuables. They stole thousands of dollars worth of items out of my storage unit, not once but twice. I asked where is all the security they continue to advertise? It is a lie. They only have 2 cameras, one camera is focused on the managers place and the other on the front gate. The camera on the front gate is so bad you cant even read the license plate when the cars enter or leave. Their other top notch security is a bunch of signs scattered around and a security gate that is broken down all the time. Whatever you do never buy a lock from the manager, he has already made duplicate copy of the keys for himself. They had to have spent hours in my storage unit going thru all of my boxes and taking what ever they wanted. the first time I was broken into they had cut my lock off. I called the police and notified the manager. Then I bought a lock from the manager to re-secure my unit. The package had been opened. I didnt think much about it at the time because I was already so upset with my stuff being taken. When I came back to my unit I noticed the unit had been gone through again and this time they cleared me out of everything worth taking. This time the lock was still in tact and I had the only key. When asking the police about this place which I did (too late) he said it is 12 to one. for every time one storage unit got broken into 1 time this place would have been hit 12 times. Please do not store your valuables here unless you are heavily Insured and dont mind being personally invaded.
