Lets start with when I first moved to Eagle Mountain. I, being the spaz that I am, lost my mail key. In the first week of October. The minute I realized I had (within hours of it happening) I ran to the post office and asked them to put my mail on hold and to request a new key. Everything seemed fine. The next time we went to get our mail (a week later) the paper that I had signed requesting a new key and my mail to be put on hold was not there, and my mail had been delivered to my locked mailbox where I could not get it. Fine, it was a mistake thats ok. We got a little busy as I had just had my baby so about 2 weeks later we went again. Same thing, no paper and had to sign another one then having to run home in hopes of catching the mail-person as they attempted to leave our mail in our box. (We never did manage to catch them, therefore being without our mail again). This happened two more times before one of the ladies in the office (I wish I remembered her name) wrote in huge letters, and phrasing it multiple ways, that our mail was to be put on hold and we needed a mail key. Needless to say, we didnt get our mail key until the beginning of January. It shouldnt have been that hard. Now, lets go to today. I tend to order things online quite a bit. Every time I have ordered something too big to fit into the designated spot, they bring it to my door. Not today. When I called to ask why I got an "attempted to deliver" notice, they said there was no secure place for them to leave it. Funny, since you guys usually just throw it at my door, and rush back down the stairs regardless of if I am home or not. I said this to the lady on the phone and she mumbled something, cutting herself off as she put me on an abrupt hold. (Lets keep in mind, I never once gave her attitude, nor did I raise my voice or speak unkindly towards her or anyone else. I was quite polite even though I was irritated.) She finally came back on the line informing me that it was too heavy for them to even put in the vehicle. (It is a smaller sized paper shredder, Ive had MUCH heavier items brought to me before). I was given a tone that suggested that she was displeased I would even ask, and I dont feel as though I deserved the attitude. I understand that they are dealing with a lot, but clearly SOMETHING needs to be done about the lack of work ethic and the attitude displayed here. I hope this gets rectified quickly.

This post office is full of incompetent workers, or at least just the carriers for my neighborhood. Ive only lived here for 5 months, but I receive someone elses mail almost daily (sometimes very important mail containing sensitive and private information) and twice Ive had packages go to the wrong house. Once I had a package sitting in the box and the carrier didnt deliver the key; after 2 weeks and 4 or 5 phone calls (when the workers promised me they would call back--they never did so I had to keep calling) they figured out that the carrier had delivered the package to the box, but failed to put the key in our box. That place is either understaffed and unprepared for the rapid growth of Lehi, or just staffed full of workers who cant sort mail. Update: Christmas had to have been the worst. I understand that its busy, but I had 10 pieces of mis-delivered mail in one week, and 5 packages delivered to 3 different houses. Im just glad I have good neighbors. And trying to mail in my taxes, I got them back with all of the stamps crossed out with a sharpie and a sticker that said "Insufficient Postage." I went to the post office and the worker (actually very kind and understanding) went back and forth trying to figure out who had done this and why because I had exactly the right amount of postage needed. She ended up taking care of it and they were mailed. At least, I HOPE they were mailed. Also, whats up with the phones? Trying to call today because a package that was "delivered" over a week ago has not shown up in my box, but the phone doesnt ring and no one answers.

When I went in to apply for a passport I had everything required but the lady helping looked at it all, laughed, and said that it just wouldnt work and I will have to come in another time. Seriously? I took time off work to drive all the way here and get turned away like that?? So I left and I had been trying to call them to schedule another appointment for weeks. I have a full time job and I can only call on break but every time I called I got the busy signal. One morning I decided to keep just calling every few minutes until I got through. I called 45 times that morning. Yes. FORTY-FIVE. After that I was very frustrated and decided to look at my other options. The next closest passport acceptance facility to me is the Draper City Hall. They dont require you to schedule an appointment so I decided since the Lehi Post Office was proving to be a joke to try to get ahold of I would drive all the way to Draper. MY EXPERIENCE THERE WAS AMAZING. I was in and out of the office in 10 minutes. I didnt need to wait in a line. I just walked right in and a very wonderful, nice lady helped me. I told her about my experience with the Lehi Post Office and she said that just a few days ago two girls had come crying from there. SERIOUSLY IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE. IF YOU NEED A PASSPORT DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS POST OFFICE. GO TO DRAPER.

I cant believe how rude and unhelpful the employees of this post office are. I needed a mail key to the mailbox for a home I just purchased. They told me it would take 3-5 days to get rekeyed and give me my key. Two months later yes I said TWO MONTHS I still dont have a key. I dont work in the area so it is hard for me to make it to the post office when they are open. Every time I am able to make arrangements to make it in to pick up my mail and try to get a key the women at the counter are so rude to me. I try to find out when I will be getting my key and they get frustrated with me and are so rude to me as I am just trying to get my key so I can get mail without taking a day off . I havent received any Christmas package or card, I am not receiving bills I need to pay, and who knows what else Im missing. I went in Tuesday to beg for my key knowing how rude and unhelpful they were going to be and they did not disappoint, not only were they their normal rude/unhelpfulness I found out they lost my key request so I have to start this whole process over. The most frustrating thing is they dont care and there is nothing you can do about it. Even writing a bad review wont have any affect I only write to warn others if you can use a different post office and be prepared to wait if you need any assistance.
