Ive been to this salon several times simply because its near my home. Ive tried to keep an open mind when Ive had bad experiences. I am not one to give bad reviews, because I figure it might just be an off-day for one employee. But I finally have to concede this is a very low-end salon that hires novice stylists that dont know what theyre doing. My last visit was so bad I will never be back. I asked for someone who was an expert in perms, because I wanted to do a gentle body wave. My hair perms easily, but you really want someone good when youre letting them put chemicals all over your head. I got a new male stylist who assured me he was great at perms and then the entire time was asking the most basic questions within my hearing to fellow stylists. Heres one conversation: "What is this stuff?" "Its called neutralizer." "Do I have to use it, or can I skip that step?" The other stylist looked a little worried. "Yeah, you definitely have to use it." "Fine." He put scorching hot water on my head, made zero effort to help me be comfortable as he made me lay there backwards with my head in a sink for over a half hour while he went to "check on something". Then after all that misery, the perm didnt take AT ALL. Not one tiny little wave or curl. All it did was fry my hair. I noticed this immediately, but the stylist pretended it was fine. As I walked out the receptionist said, "You realize that perm did not take, right?" "Yeah, what do I do?" "We can try again." So I come back the next day and am handled just as roughly and I get robbed! Yes, when my stylist left me in pain with my neck at a painful angle for over a half hour this time in a sink to go "do something"my credit cards were stolen out of my wallet that were back at his station. Not sure if he took them or another stylist did, but it obviously wasnt a customer that did it, because the other customers were all in the middle of haircuts. I reported this to the front desk that someone had stolen all my cards and the girl up front acted like she could care less and this was normal. Oh, but at least she was helpful enough to to point out that my perm "didnt take" again. So over $100 later I have ugly fried hair, a pain in my neck, 2 completely wasted afternoons, no credit cards, no curls and am ready to cry. No one there seemed to care at all. They just said "sorry, some peoples hair cant perm and our products are natural and kind of weak to be honest, over half the perms we do dont take!" The stylist then piped in that only 1 in 7 perms work for him. What the heck? Wouldnt you tell someone their odds were only 1 in 7 it would work BEFORE putting them through that kind of suffering. Later I went to the salon across the street from them (forgot the name, because Ive only been there once) and got my perm that turned out very cute, curly and perfectly the first time--as has always been the case for me everywhere else Ive gone. Avoid this place if you can. Im sure they have a few good stylists like everywhere else, but I dont think its worth the risk you get one of their low-end stylists like Ive always gotten.

If you are looking for a relaxing experience with services provided by an up-scaled salon, this is definitely NOT the place to go. After reading the reviews about this salon, I went there last week looking forward to the relaxing experience. However, it was a total disappointment for me. I didnt get the head, neck, and shoulder massage (I was getting a color treatment and no hair cut, so I supposed the head, neck, and shoulder massage only come with the hair cut service). Nonetheless, I saw two other stylists gave the head, neck, and shoulder massages to two clients who were getting hair cuts, and each of them had gotten less than one minute of massage in total! I heard one of the stylists asked her client if the pressure she used was ok, and right after the client answered "yes", she had finished the massage. I received a hand massage while waiting for my hair color to process (there was no dryer or steamer to sit under, and I just sat in the styling chair and waited), which also lasted for under one minute for both hands. The massage skill of the stylist, if she has it at all, was very poor; and it felt like she was just applying the sticky hand lotion on my hand rather than giving me a massage. I also did not receive any head massage after the shampoo. She just put a very hot towel on my forehead and then just lightly applied hair conditioner to my hair. The hot towel gave me a headache for a few hours afterwards. Further, although the stylist had listened to and understood what I wanted done with my hair color, my hair color turned out to be rather dull and lifeless. I guess it was the brand of color that they used that caused the dullness. Furthermore, the stylist just blow-dried my hair and told me my hair was done in a hurry. In fact, my hair was far from being done. My hair was not even fully dried yet, not to mention being properly styled. I left with fuzzy hair that was half dry, and with $77 dollars out of my pocket. Overall, I had paid the price for services in an up-scaled salon but had received services equivalent to those provided by a dollar cut salon. I gave one star for the iced water I was given when I checked in and another star for the stylists ability to understand my color choice.

I am not one to complain but I feel like I need to say something in this case. I have always heard great things about Aveda and I was excited to try one. I was just in need of a cut and a color. For starters, I called and made my appointment AND confirmed the appointment via text. I had taken the morning off from work and showed up 20 minutes early. I was then told that the appointment had been double-booked. I had the option of the lady, Michelle I believe, to do both of our heads at the same time or to come back at a later time. I was dissapointed but still opted to come back that night at 7:30 PM. I am naturally golden blonde, and was looking for some light-auburn lowlights for winter. I was very specific about what I wanted and was armed with several pictures of precisely what I was looking for. Michelle told me she had something in mind that would be prettier. She is the expert so I trusted her. She ended up giving me an ombre or a melt with a very dark brunnette color. I do not like ombres, which I told her, and I did not want to leave a brunette. However, when she washed my hair and asked me if I liked it, it was nearly 10PM and I was ready to go home, so I said it was okay. She also forgot to dye my eyebrows, so I have blonde eyebrows with dark brown hair. I understand that I should have spoken up. They gave me a free treatment since I had to come back and the discount that all first-time-guests get. I have no problem laying down money for good work but in this case I paid $175 for something I did not like. Fast-forward a month later, I have dark brown hair with blonde roots growing in and it looks terrible. I was looking for something low maintenence. I am giving it two stars because the ladies were nice. However, I do not feel like they took care of me as a customer. It wasnt what I asked for and I did not feel welcome to tell them that I did not like it. Overall it was not a great experience. The customer service was good but I will not be returning nor will I be recommending anyone here.
