Let me start off by saying Im honestly shocked at how many good reviews this place has received. My car was making a minor squeaking noise when I would brake and since I had replaced the rear brake pads and rotors recently I thought maybe the front pads needed replacing, and I wanted a fully synthetic oil change. I took my car in around 8:30AM and was told the work I needed would probably be done before noon. I get a call at 12:45 saying they are just now starting to look at my car. I was told that they had lifted my car and saw some "heat spots" on my rotors and those should most likely be replaced too. I didnt have the funds available so I asked what the price would be for the oil change and pads replacement. They told me around $250 and it would take over 2 hours to do the work! Now that is ridiculous. After telling them to not do any work to the car I would just walk across the street and pick it up. When i go across the street to get my car it is IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT I PARKED IT IN AND IM CONVINCED THEY NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT ANYTHING ON IT AT ALL! They clearly hadnt even taken the tires off to look at ANYTHING because my lug lock was also in the same exact place I left it which it wouldnt have been if they had used it. So took my car to a family friend mechanic in Stafford who told me my brake pads were still in great shape(also asked how much new pads would have cost and was quoted at $20 from their local parts store) The only thing he could recommend doing at the same was an easy resurfacing of the rotors. I ended up spending $40 on synthetic oil and a filter from Autozone and gave the family friend mechanic what I thought was fair for the work. In summary, the guys at Town Car Repair are liars and will stop at nothing to get as much money as possible out of their naive customers. Nothing they told me was honest or factual. Please do not let yourself get dooped by these unprofessional people.

Car Killers - Beware! You can drive in, but youll be towed away... I drove my car in to have a "Service Engine Soon" warning light diagnosed. After hooking up the computer, front desk Dave advised the car needed a tune up. So, I made an appointment and brought the car back a few days later. Repairman Rob called a few hours later to advise the car needed an entirely new engine. After a brief discussion, it was clear to me the cost of the repair wasnt worth it, so I mentioned Id probably just donate the car. Suddenly, the repairman wanted to buy the car. Conflict of interest? Rob didnt really understand the concept. When I explained to him and his brother at the front desk my concern that the whole experience felt like a scam, it was like a scene from Ricks Cafe "Im shocked to learn theres gambling going on in this establishment" Adding insult to injury, when I tried to drive the car home - guess what? It wouldnt start - it was dead as a doornail. The very helpful and polite assessment from front desk Dave "The car is junk" was ringing in my ears as I called for a tow truck. Town Car Repair made sure of that - they turned a perfectly good and functioning car into junk. Thanks Dave! Thanks Rob!

We went there trying to get a state inspection and we were told to sit down before he would even hear what we wanted him to do. Then we waited around for 30 minutes while he fiddled with someones brake light. Having never been there before, we did not realize that you are supposed to pull up in the queue for a state inspection. By the time we realized it, 3 or 4 cars had pulled up that got there after us! This shop looks really small and does not appear to have the equipment necessary to even mount and balance tires properly, not to mention diagnose and repair modern complex computerized vehicles. I would recommend this place only if you have a crapbox car from the 90s. Heck, just look at all the cars in the pictures! Most of the cars that were there at the time were old cargo vans from the 80s and rusted out Honda Accords.

I went there because I had damaged the front end of my car and they treated me great and sent me somewhere else that would be able to repair it for cheaper because he knew I was tight on money and wanted me to get the best deal possible. I went there again almost a month later for an inspection, but the lines were really long and I had to get back to work for the army and had no time to wait. The gentleman worked things out so that I would be able to leave my car there over night (because base is within walking distance) and pick it up the next day. I dont know of many if any places around here that are willing to work with you like they will to help you get your needs taken care of. Thumbs Up!

Weve always had a great experience with Town Car Repair. My brother owns a repair shop up in Maryland, so I call him with any issues or concerns I may have. I told him the price and work that was being done (and even cleared based on the symptoms it was necessary) and he was shocked They give good prices for quality work. They are very friendly, thorough, knowledgeable staff. They always call if there is something more going on with the car than the work originally discussed and clearly explain what is being done and why. The line for inspections can sometimes get long, but they are also quick. I highly recommend them.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the group at Town Car repair. They are honest and let you know exactly what is going on with your car. I recently took my wifes car in for an unexplained noise coming from the rear of the car. They investigated it and found that it was simply the spare tire moving around under the car. I am sure that at some other places this would have ended up resulting in a new muffler and whatever else they thought they could sell me. Not with Town Car. Their honesty and desire to get the best outcome for the customer keeps me coming back.

This morning I brought my Subaru in for its Inspection and I have to say I received great, 5 star, service! I am sure the fact that I arrived at about 7:45 AM has something to do with it, but the mechanic was top notch, professional, respectful, efficient, and just all around a nice fellow...he even offered me a breakfast cookie while I was waiting! All in all a pleasantly unexpected surprise for what is normally such a drag of a chore. Thanks!

As a woman, I have always dreaded anything to do with car buying, inspections and repairs. I have never had an issue with Town Car Repair. Ive always been treated with respect out of there quickly once my car is in the bay. There is usually a long line around the end of the month for inspections but worth the wait if youve waited to the last minute because the service is efficient and trusted.
