Make sure you read all of the reviews. I wish I had. I took my car in for a rattling noise, which turned out to be a small piece that had rusted loose from a flex tube. Mike told me that they couldnt remove the rusted piece without damaging the flex tube, and that I needed to replace the entire catalytic converter. Shame on me for believing him. I told him to go ahead and replace it, and picked the car up. On the way home, I noticed a loud, "angry" sounding vibration at 1700 RPM that I had never heard before. When the noise did not go away the next morning, I took it back to Ashburn Service & Tire Center. The techs there had no idea what it was, and were frantically googling things on their phones, trying to come up with possibilities. They insisted it was the transmission, despite the fact that this noise started immediately after they worked on my car. Conveniently, they had "forgotten" to take it on a test drive before they repaired the first issue, so Mike told me they couldnt prove the new sound came from their repair. Basically, I was on my own. Seriously... do you think I made it up? What a joke--way to stand by your work, guys. Mike said they couldnt help me and that I needed to take it back to Nissan. I took the car to a nearby shop for a second opinion. First of all, it turned out that Mike at Ashburn Service & Tire Center lied to me when he said I needed to replace the catalytic converter to resolve the rattling. The tech at the second shop said he could have cut the rusted piece off without even putting the car on the lift! The second shop cut the piece off of the original pipe (thankfully I had asked for it back, as I was already suspicious) and replaced the aftermarket pipe installed by Ashburn Service & Tire Center with the original part. What do you know, the vibration went away! Turns out Ashburn Service & Tire Center used an aftermarket part not specific to my car. It was not an exact fit and was vibrating so heavily under load that it became a blur when viewed on a lift. That was the noise I heard. It had nothing to do with the transmission as the geniuses at Ashburn Service & Tire Center insisted, it was the part that they installed. (A part that I didnt even need!) My partner took the unneeded part back to Ashburn Service & Tire Center and asked for a refund for parts--not even for labor for the unneeded work. Mike and the techs huffed and puffed and insisted on taking the car for a drive and putting it up on the lift before confirming half an hour later that it was their screwup. Then they had to wait for the owner to approve the refund. It seemed pretty clear that they were trying to take as much time as possible, which was petty, but not surprising, now that I know the truth about their shop. While they did end up refunding us for the part (not labor), I will never set foot in their shop again. Ashburn Service & Tire Center might be acceptable for oil changes and tire rotation, but anything more complicated will just confuse them. There are much better shops located very nearby, please go anywhere else other than Ashburn Service & Tire Center if you want honesty and quality work by knowledgeable techs.

I have a 2006 Prius, and in all the time Ive had it, Ashburn Tire is the only place Ive brought it for tires and service. Their prices are low, but thats not what makes them stand out. Its the "Service" part of their name. Take tonight for an example. The plastic sheeting that separates the wheelwell from the engine came loose, making a horrifying noise. Unwilling to entrust it to anyone else, I drove it (slowly) from Leesburg to Ashburn Tire. While I was describing the problem to the guy behind the desk, Leonard (a seriously old-school service guy whom I swear never says he cant help you) is out on the ground looking under my car. Suddenly a younger guy, Mike, goes running out with a scary-looking knife and starts cutting away the destroyed part that was scraping on my tires. This is to hold me over for the weekend until I can come in to have the sheet replaced on Monday. Its important to understand a couple fine points here: (1) they didnt charge me to get me out of my bind; (2) they had been closed for 30 minutes. Ive been negligent in providing this excellent local shop with the 5-star review they deserve for far too long. These guys have consistently far-exceeded any expectations I may have had in service and price. There simply arent enough places like this, who understand that "Service" is more than just a catchy name for the establishment. I have lived here for 22 years, and Im not sure theyve been here for all 22 of those years (though Im pretty sure its close), but Ive always come away happy with their service, their prices, their service, resolutions to any issues that may have cropped up, their service and, most importantly, their service. Thank you, Leonard, for all those years! And thank you, Mike, for letting me drive this weekend without sounding like I was dragging a metal barrel of ball bearings behind me. :)

My wife and I took our car here to have it inspected and failed it for a few lights. They said that the left rear light would need more investigation and that it would take a while to find out the issue. They said that it was probably a wiring problem or an issue with the harness. I decided to take it home and take a look myself as I prefer to fix things myself if I can. After about 5 minutes I found that it was the fuse. To make sure that was the issue, I swapped the rear right fuse into the rear left spot and the light worked. I didnt have an extra fuse so I decided to have my wife take it back and have them put one it. When she took the car over, she explained what I had found and that we only needed a new fuse and new bulbs to replace the burnt ones. After about 10 mins they brought the car back around and said that it definitely was not the fuse. They wanted to charge her $50 to look more into the problem. She again told them that I had found the issue and that no extra work was needed. My wife called me to talk to them and they told me that it was a grounding issue and the harness was the problem. I asked if they actually looked at the fuse and tried swapping it out. I also had to give them the fuse number since they couldnt figure out the diagram inside the fuse box. They put me on hold and after about 5 mins they came back and said that was the problem. I always second guess a new shop as so many seem to try and take advantage of you. My wife always seems to be a target for this kind of treatment and this is not the first time someone has tried to charge her extra for something that is not needed. If you do not know much about your car and need someone to fully trust, I would not recommend this place as they either are incompetent or take an opportunity to charge extra when they can.
