When I was given a very high quote for a repair to my vehicle I supposedly needed, I left the local garage I had been going to for years to find another one on short notice (I had been rejected for state inspection because of the item they claimed I needed replaced). I found Gainesville Garage online and took a chance. Im so glad I did. They quickly identified the issue and brought me back to show me the issue on the vehicle. The quote for the repair at the other garage was well over $1,500; turns out I just needed a small part replaced, which cost about $60 with some extra for labor. The owner of the company actually drove me back to my house so I could still work while they worked on my vehicle! The employees at this Garage are very personable, on the phone and in person. After the repair, they enrolled me in their rewards program and even gave me a gift welcome bag for a new customer. This place is awesome.

I bought a used trailer which I probably spent more than it was worth. The advantage was they provided state inspection and gave me 30 day tags. Before I left the parking lot I discovered the brakes where not working. They repaired the breakaway and found the brakes where intermittent do to a weak connection at the trailers 7 way plug. The brakes did work when I left the garage. I have since replaced the 7 way plug, now I feel better about the brakes working when I need them. I believe the 30 day tag had been wedge between the plate bracket and the fender, there were no apparent fasteners. The tag blew off halfway of my 135 mile trip home. I expressed my concerns in an email and never received any response. I think these people are capable of doing better.

I recently had my 91 GMC pick up serviced at Gainesville Garage I had it towed to their shop thinking the fuel pump was bad and needed replacing GG called me later to let me know I didn’t need a fuel pump just some gas in the tank (THX) . I was notified of the problem and cost before any work was preform. I had asked them to give the truck the once over and let me know of any urgent repairs it might require. GG did a great job fixing the problems and identifying several other issues that required attention. Their prices are fair and customer service is great! I will definitely return.

Ive been coming here for minor stuff for about 2 years (oil changes and tire changes on my Honda, and the same plus brakes on my wifes VW). They checked out a clicking noise on my Honda once and were able to pinpoint a problem with one of my fog lights that was dangling and making the noise (stupid, I know) and they didnt charge me for doing that, which I thought was very nice of them. This place has always been reliable and the owner and his wife are cool. Never had any problems. I take care of my vehicles and am glad I can take it to a nice garage that takes care of it too.

An HONEST REPAIR SHOP!! Relax. Dave and company will never jerk you around or pad the bill. Their work is high quality, fast, and complete. Many repair shops can fix your car, but Gainesville Garage will do it right and give you the truth about what needs to be fixed and what can wait. Their fees are always reasonable. They even let me use their loaner while they fixed my car. The dealer wanted $3000 to replace my rack and pinion steering when it turned out that the grinding noise was just one of my mud flaps rubbing against the tire. Give them a try!

Great shop, great work, honest, fair, quick. Took my car here after another shop (*cough cough*, Virginia Tire & Auto of Gainesville) tried to rip me off and told me I needed unneccessary repairs. Wanted to charge 400 more then another competitor for same work. Said they needed to replace rear and front ebrake cable but never connected the disconnected cable to test it. Took it to another garage and they said the cable just needed re connected and drums resurfaced. Also they add additional costs to parts and labor length. Always get a second or third opinion. Beware!

Excellent customer service. Had the repair done the same day. Made sure we got our vehicle back after hours. We had a leaking axel seal in our motor coach. They arranged for us to drop it off after hours, fixed it the next day, and arranged to have us pick it up after hours the same day. Really great service. Thanks, Ed.

Would HIGHLY recommend getting a second opinion before allowing them to do any expensive work. I will question their BASIC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, before accusing them of being outright dishonest. A second opinion will only cost you your time.

Horrible experience. Charged me 125 for estimate just to give me my keys back. I already knew radiator was busted. They wanted 1000 dollars to replace a radiator and thermostat. Stay away from these crooks.
