I took my Porsche there and first time they did an ok job (hence two stars, not one). Unfortunately the car suffered a little fender bender and took the car back to IMA for an opinion. Owner (Ivan) promised me itll be taken care of. Emailed me later that day and said he took it for a spirited drive (without my permission) and found the rear alignment to be not to his liking. I got suckered into having him re-align the car. I still dont know whats his rational between a front bumper scrap and rear alignment?? Charged me over the top for the alignment. But then turned out he simply messed it up even more! The steering was crooked, the alignment was completely fd up. Had to go to another shop to correct his so-called "optimal alignment". I called him up to see if he could remedy the alignment--thats when he came out and said his shop doesnt even own an alignment setup! He "borrowed" another shops alignment and he doesnt know when he can get back on the alignment. Oh and what about the bumper? He took it to have it repaired by another bodyshop. Didnt even bother re-align it, so simply painted and put it back. Still crooked as the first day I brought the car to him. Turned out there were a few broken tabs inside that he said he was gonna order but he never bothered. I had to have it completely re-aligned by the bodyshop. He took over $600 and essentially didnt do anything. Wont be going back there, ever. Im considering filing a complaint with PCA, FWIW.

Ivan / IMA Motorwerke is absolutely the best! Ivan provides exceptional customer service and attention to detail. Before taking my 2009 Audi Q7 to IMA Motorwerke, I took my Audi Q7 to Audi Chantilly. That was a bad decision to go to Audi Chantilly. Of course Audi Chantilly did not explain anything except focused on the worst case scenario (up to $10k) to see if I would bite on their high price and low customer service. Im not stupid and I value customer service for my money. Ill never ever go back to Audi Chantilly for service or to purchase another vehicle. I spoke to Ivan on my way home from Audi Chantilly and he was simply amazing. He was polite, professional, friendly and laser focused on listening to determine the potential problems with my Audi. I decided to go with Ivan / IMA Motorwerke given his excellent attention to detail and professionalism. Ivan called me along the way to discuss the diagnosis and let me know what the potential problems could be with my Audi. Ivan was spot on with his diagnosis, process and solution. Plus saved me thousands of dollars versus Audi Chantilly. I wish everyone in the automotive industry was as professional as Ivan / IMA Motowerke. Thank you Ivan / IMA Motorwerke!!

I was very impressed by this business! Ivan, who was great throughout the repair process, gave me the best quote I could find in the area for replacing the control arm on my 07 Passat so I made an appointment and went to drop the car off the next morning. When I got there, the first thing I noticed was the shop was absolutely littered with late model Porsches, several of them obviously track-only vehicles. I figured if people trust the guy to maintain their high-end race cars, Im probably safe letting him work on my 10 year old VW! But the best part was that he didnt treat it like the dirtiest, lowest end vehicle in his shop (it was). They got to work on the car immediately and kept me apprised of their progress the whole time. When the repair was done, Ivan gave me a short list of potential future issues he noticed while working on the car so that I could keep them in mind but did not pressure me to spend more money that I didnt yet need to. Again, great experience with this business, I will be returning in the future!

I have been bringing my Porsches (911 G50 - 944 n/a - 951) to Ivan and his team for the last 6 years and they have always done an excellent work. Ivan, Chris and the team are always willing to go the extra miles to help you out even if it is for them to work late or have to come on a week end! At IMA Motorwerke you can bring your car and what ever you drive you will be well taking care off, but the best about them is they will never push you to do work on your car that is not necessary just to invoice, and they know how to fix a car not just replace! Need 2nd opinion for repairs from Dealership. IMA Website was impressive. Owner & staff was very Professional & Knowledgeable. Inspection was thorough. Saved a lot of money without sacrificing Quality repairs. Most shops over Promise & Under Deliver. This shop leaves you with complete confidence & exceeded all expectations. My wife & I wish we discovered this Shop earlier.We could have saved a lot of money from some expensive repairs weve had done over the years. I will recommend IMA to our neighbors and friends for their own positive experience.

If youre like me and dont like anyone but professionals go anywhere near your car, you have to set up an appointment with IMA. From the initial phone call to bringing the car in, I was impressed. Ivan and his team are knowledgeable and very professional from start to finish. Both he and his team were ready and willing to answer any questions and concerns I had.
