I heard and knew about AutoScandias top quality service even well before my first visit. So I knew where to tow my car when it wouldnt start. My first visit was a little awkward at the beginning and turned out be one of the best experiences in auto repair. My office was close by and they provided ride service which was great. Then it got a little awkward when I got a call for unusually high service charge for replacing a starter. I negotiated to bring the price down to what was considered normal in my standard. But the uneasy feeling would not go away that I would have paid more than needed, had I not negotiated the price. They knew my uneasy feeling and I was impressed that they reached out to me at first! We had a positive conversation over the phone and text until the problem was resolved. It was figured that happened due to miscommunication. I was fully explained what should and would have been done in terms of the total process from the quote to actual repair. It was the first time that I was reached out for customer satisfaction matter from an auto repair shop. AutoScandia takes the customer satisfaction seriously. I have known that the AutoScandia is the place to go for top quality service. Now it is not only about the top quality service but also about the top customer satisfaction. So next time something happens in my car, I know where to take it to!

AutoScandia is the only garage I now trust to maintain my vehicle. Their courtesy is only matched by their professional service and incredible honesty. AutoScandia was recommended to me by a family member when I thought I was having brake troubles with my car. I was experiencing some squeaking, and the mechanic I had been going to informed me that my brakes needed to be replaced, even though they only had a few thousand miles on them. I went to AutoScandia for a second opinion. They took the time to carefully listen to what I had been experiencing, and even went on a drive with me to help identify the problem. I was fully prepared to replace the pads once again if needed, but after only a few minutes in the garage, the mechanic came to inform me that I was just suffering from a build up of brake dust, and that the pads were fine. After they cleaned them off, the sound went away. Since switching to AutoScandia, I have always felt that my car is in excellent hands. They never try to replace parts that do not need it, and in fact provide estimates as to when I may need to conduct maintenance so I have some time to budget for it. AutoScandia is 30 miles from where I now live, but driving the distance is worth every minute. I highly recommend AutoScandia for any and all maintenance questions and service.

I put the 5 stars because I know they are all pros and have heard a lot of good stuff about them. But here is my experience, I was referred here and I went there with my 87 Saab 900 turbo, I had a simple shifter issue, prolly some bolts came off and was misaligned for which my keys didnt come off and there was too much play. (I also dont have 1sr gear which didnt really bother me because I took off from 2nd and dont really drive this car that much). The specialist came saying I need the tranny rebuilt I need the whole new shifter with linkage this and that. At a point he was like "about 5 hours $540 to take it off and if we cant find parts you have to tow it away". I was so Dissapointed that I could not make them understand that it was just a simple issue. Then I drove off and dropped it at a local foreign car workshop. In 3 days they called me and said its ready for pick up. I tested the car and the shifter was as good as new, keys came off as they are supposed to on reverse anf they also fixed my coolant leak. I was billed 275 and I was more than happy to pay that. So for me I really felt like they were either trying to set me away or take a lot from me. I was really Dissapointed, and yes I drove the car for about 2 weeks before I posted this review to make sure the work lasted.

My Volvo had a noise problem that was vexing to say the least. A loose front right strut was thought to be the culprit (also replaced the front sway bar links). this helped but didnt stop the noise. So next, I did what was suggested; replace the front struts and also the rear sway bar links. I was so excited when I picked up the car only to realize that the noise was still there. The next day I emailed Tim that the ONLY reason I replaced everything was to fix the noise. Tim had me come in that very morning for a test drive where he heard the noise. We drove back in, the car went into a bay and 2 hours later they found the problem. It was a 200$ part that only a magician could have found. While I never wanted to spend this money I must admit that the car is tighter to drive. The culprit was a plastic headlamp leveling device that creaked/groaned whenever the level of the front end changed. Somehow the noise was transmitted through the frame. Who would have ever figured that that was it?!?! They removed it and no noise. Re-installed it and the noise reappeared. I will continue to use AutoScandia because they wouldnt give up trying to satisfy their customer. NOT cheap but fixed finally!

Update: Just wanted to tell again how wonderful and competent the staff is at Autoscandia! I thought I had an expensive issue with my 5-series BMW and they immediately diagnosed the problem and told me the correct solution which was exponentially cheaper than what I thought it would take to fix the problem. These guys are truly stand up fellows! Also, they really take the time to explain what all the issues and relevant fixes are... They are the best people I have dealt with all week... For BMWs, talk to Dan and Doug and Bruce!! ~ Jay-Jay.................. Nicest people ever. They actually tried to solve the problem on my BMW (and did solve it) instead of just doing a routine procedure and looking for error codes like the dealership does. With the dealership, if there are no error codes then they say there is no problem... of course this cant be the case if Im here at the repair shop. All these guys are ex-technicians at dearlerships and so they know what they are doing and they know what not to do. I am very impressed and will be coming back here for all my car needs in the future.

I highly recommend Autoscandia. Autoscandia does its best on my BMW Z4. I took my car to dealer in fairfax for wheel alignment and I was given recommendations which needs to be taken care immediately and I doubt if all these recommendations are really need to be considered. So after researching online for a better service center, I took my Z4 to Autoscandia for a second opinion and to fix these problems if needed. Dan from Autoscandia got my car inspected and he suggested the oil leak is pretty minor which doesnt require immediate attention unless I wanna proactively get it done. Also he said breaks are in good shape and doesnt require immediate replacement. When I asked for an estimate for these issues to be fixed in future , their prices are way way cheaper when compared to dealer prices. I really appreciate Dan for clearly explaining the situation of problem and being honest instead of asking me to get repairs done immediately for no reason. Thanks a lot Dan.
