Do not use them for State Inspection! I recently took my vehicle in for a State Inspection. I meticulously maintain my vehicle and expected my inspection to go smoothly. After dropping my vehicle off I received a call a few hours later. They explained to me that in order to pass inspection I would need to replace my wipers. Thats fair and I knew they were getting close to the end of their life. However, they proceeded to tell me that I also needed to replace my lower rear control arm bushingin order to pass inspection. I know enough about vehicle maintenance to know that my car did not exhibit any characteristics of a worn rear control arm bushing. I decided to have them give me the rejection sticker so that I could take it to another shop to have them look at it. After having the vehicle re-inspected by another shop, they explained to me that my rear bushings were in perfect working order. they did not need to be replaced nor did they warrant a failed state inspection. Basically this shop was trying to hold me hostage by claiming that I needed to repair a part that wasnt broken. Apparently the control arm is a common and quick job. So it was a quick way to get some money into the shop for them. 98% of people would have simply paid them the $300-$400 they wanted for the service, knowing they need to "pass" their state inspection. Well not this guy, you crooks. This is a blatant abuse of their state inspection privileges and I will be reporting them to the BBB and the State Inspection Department. Do not take your vehicle here. Plain and simple.

I dont even want to give this autoshop a 1 start to be honest. Came in for an oil change and state inspection and they told me one of my break light is out so I agreed to have it replaced so the car would pass inspection. Then I call Toyota immediately after since I just picked up the car from their collision center and was told I wont get reimbursed for that light bulb that way I have to back to Toyota and have them replace it. I hung up the phone and notified the guy that I dont want the bulb replaced. All of this took place in less than 3 minutes and he told me that the guy had already put the bulb in and they cant take it out since they will have to charge me for the labor of taking that bulb they just put in out. Unbelievable I have never heard of a place that does that. Long story short I am now out 30$ since I cant get reimbursed from Toyota. All because the labor has been done for the part where they replaced the light bulb. Will never go back here again. What a horrible experience

I look for two things in a mechanic: trustworthiness and expertise. Sean and Chris (and team) exceed in both areas. I have visited them many times for two years now for the following: - oil change - tires - brakes - transmission - state inspection - tire pressure gauge I read a few other reviews and saw people unhappy about findings in their state inspections. Well, I had to get new tires to pass mine. I knew they were old but thought some life was still in them. When Chris showed me my tire, I was floored- you could see the threads (on the inside of the tire, which is why I never noticed). I was days away from a long drive with my kids, so I feel they saved me from an inevitable incident! In other words, folks, if they see something in your inspection, they see something. Get it fixed. Another kudos is fixing my tire pressure gauge issue. Lets just say that 3 other places, including Goodyear, couldnt figure it out. They did. And they saved me over $300 in the process.

Warning they dont need a star at all they have people to put fake reviews so they can get business. They are horrible Mechanics worst service ever. I still cant drive my car. I wouldnt give William Auto a half star if i didnt have to. They took 3600.00 from me and didnt fix my car. They gave me a fake inspection sticker because they knew they didnt fix my car just to get me out the face that i have pictures of and when i took my car back they took it off the car. Sean the manager is a crook and before you take your car their you better investigate. They shouldnt be in business they take from you and dont fix the cars. Warning be careful of them. They cheat people. I still have an non working car thanks to this company. The tricked me to sign papers so they wouldnt have to work on what they messed up. Do you think they ever apologize or compensated me. You see they only acknowledged when you say something good about them they hate being honest. Never go there again

We had a wonderful experience with this repair shop while passing through Richmond. We decided to stop and see Belle Isle with our three small children on our way to the mountains. Unfortunately after our visit our car would not start. After much effort a AAA technician was able to get it started, but we werent sure what was wrong. I called Williams Auto Service after finding it on a quick Google search. The receptionist assured me they would be able to diagnose the issue quickly and most likely fix it that day. We drove straight there and sure enough a tech was able to get right to it and diagnose the problem. After a quick (& relatively inexpensive) fix we were on our way to the mountains for our trip. We felt like this shop was knowledgeable, accommodating, honest, friendly, and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend Williams Auto Service!

I used Angies List to look for someone to complete a timing belt/water pump and everything else replacement on my 2002 Honda Odyssey. Prices were unreal for this type of job. Needless to say, Williams Auto Service provided me with a professional estimate that was anywhere from $250 to $300 cheaper. I was overly ecstatic when I turned my vechile in to them, but when I picked it up, WoW, what a good group of guys. I was scheduled to pick the car up around 5 pm, no disapointment here, it was ready and I was once again ecstatic. I have found myself a new garage for my major repairs and services. You know, sometimes I wonder who writes the reviews on some of these sites. I am telling you now, I wrote this review myself and I have no connections to Williams Auto Sevice, other than the work they did on my car. Thanks Guys for a super job.

Excellent service. You wont believe it - a shop that does excellent work at a fair price, efficiently, and honestly. I took my car to there shop to get repaired. They offer shuttle service in the mornings, I didnt have to worry about getting a ride. I was having an electrical issue with my car and I took to 2 other shops. No one could find out what was wrong with my car. Shawn called the same day and advise me what it would take to repair my car. He is a very experienced Automotive Technician. He also stated the car would need to stay over night. He offered a loaner vehicle so I could pick up my daughter. I picked up my car the next day and I have been driving for several months now with no issues. I would highly recommend to anyone. They are also have an excellent warranty.
