Very unprofessional and rude staff, I was very disappointed. The diagnostic of the issue was incorrect and misleading. I took my vehicle to "Zaf Auto Repair" due to an issue with the heating system inside the salon of the car . After diagnostic was complete, I was informed that the thermostat had to be replaced. I agreed to proceed with the repair considering the estimated cost and paid the fee upon completion of the job. A week later, I brought my car back to the shop due to the same issue - the heater inside the vehicle (in the salon of the car) was not working - it was blowing cold air as it was before the repair. "Zaf Auto Repair" performed diagnostic second time and informed me that water pump had to be replaced as well (in addition to the replaced thermostat)! This was a new estimate with a new part which was not identified during the first diagnostic. Due to the mistake in the original diagnostic I was misinformed about the repair and the total cost that required to fix the issue. "Zaf Auto Repair" refused to refund the original repair even though it did not fix the issue.

I got a shady estimate from a national chain and decided to shop around. I went into Zafs Auto Repair and spoke with the owner (AB) who is on site every day. I didnt tell him the original bid for work. He gave me a bid that was 25% less than the national chain. I have taken my cars there ever since. They will give you options for service, as in cheaper break pads, or the option to pay a little more for better pads. They are very detailed in explaining the problem, the cost associated with it, and the options you have. If there was a 10-star option, I would give them 10 stars. I cant say enough about the quality, cost, and fairness you get from Zafs Auto Repair. Dont believe me? Do yourself a favor the next time you need maintenance on your car and at least stop by for a quote. If you can beat it, go elsewhere. Even after I moved to Fairfax from Herndon, I still go to Zafs Auto Repair!

Do not take your car here! Took my Honda Fit here a couple of times before going to another mechanic. They dont do a through job. My car was making a scraping noise while driving so took it to Zafs to get checked. They found and fixed 1 bad coil and then returned the car to me. The scraping sound was still happening. Took it to another mechanic and they found that all of my lug nuts were loose and my tires were only being held on by the tire locks. When I had taken my car to Zafs the first time they hadnt tightened the lug nuts properly and they slowly came loose. They do a half ass job that later has to be redone by someone else.

Went to saftey inspection to my near by store "Virginia Gas and Auto" where they said unwanted repairs and given me an estimate of $ 650 and rejected my vehicle,roamed around multiple mechanics where they said almost same price , luckily i found Zaf auto repair where AB inspected and said some of the items mentioned in rejection are already good, let me replace the remaining and pass your vechile for just $205 he did it, there labour is also good just 90$ per hour , so from now on i will refer all my friends to ZAF auto only

I took my car to Zaf Automotive because it wasnt starting properly. They took time to diagnose the problem, fix precisely what was wrong with it, and not try to sell me on a ton of unnecessary services. I had assumed that I would need a new starter, which they could have gotten a lot more money for, but the problem was a leaking fuel filter, which they replaced. They then tested the car a number of times to make certain that fixed the problem. Good service, fair prices and honest guys.

I have been going to Zafs since AB open the garage, I find their prices to be excellent and the service is fast and the staff is very friendly. I work locally for the Govt. have recommended this shop to many of my Co-workers and they all have thank me, for recommended Zafs. Try this before you go to Zafs take your car to a chain auto shop like merchants or Goodyear and then bring it to Zafs and see what the price difference is and you will be shocked, I know I was. Bob

The team at Zaf Auto is amazing. They explain to you what your car problems are and even tell you future issues that needs to be taken care of. The location couldnt be better, in the same shopping center of Big Kmart and resturants where you can drop off your car for a quick oil change, emissions/inspection while you shop. They even have shuttle service if you call in advance and request it. I will continue to use them for my car services.

Kyle and company are awesome...from oil change to major repairs, you can always count on these guys to get it done. I usually bring my own oil and filter and pay these guys to change it for me. No issues whatsoever. Best thing is, they are NEVER looking to upsell anything at all....just honest work. Highly recommended!!!

These people are excellent, do things that are required. I am glad I used them. The light on my Land Rover for Tire Pressure was On even though the pressure was just fine. Two or more Car repair folks in the neighborhood could do nothing about this. These guys fixed it, checked the car for everything. Very reasonable.

At Zaf Auto Repair, the mechanics are very familiar with older cars. All the cars my family owns are older and the Zaf team fixes them all. They do a great job and explain everything. This is the best place in Herndon to get your car fixed and at the best price. Great people, great deal, great service.

New to the Herndon area and needed some work on my brakes. Stopped by Zaf after seeing good reviews on Google. Got a great deal on the brake work, state inspection, and emissions test and it was all done while I waited. Will be going back the next time I have car troubles.

They have done work for me for over 4 years. I always get an honest opinion and the prices are very reasonable and a lot cheaper than other shops in the area. If its something that they dont particularly do they always recommend great places to get the work done.

Its hard to find an honest car repair shop and this is it! I live in Ashburn and drive out here in order to get service done on any of my cars. One of the few shops where you can bring your own parts and theyll take care of the rest. Awesome shop!

I come from a family of mechanics, this is an honest repair shop. They do not upsell things you do not need. I normally do all my own repairs, but when it comes time to inspections and Emissions the cars have to go in.
