First I would like to thank you and your wonderful staff for all the time you have given freely to help me keep my automobiles in great running order over the past decade. You and your staff have always been willing to find the time and care for my vehicle. I couldnt find a better place to purchase tired over the years. The ones I had purchased for my Cadillac ran for over 60 thousand miles when I gave it to Good Shepard for a family. I now have a Toyota Avalon 2003 and just last year had four (4) new tires placed on it by your staff and its running smooth over the highways today. I live in the Great Falls, Virginia area and its over 14 miles to your facility, but its worth the rise because I come away very satisfied with your workmanship. I tell other about your service and they too have found a "friend" at The Tire Shop. Many comment on the friendliness and courteous manner of your staff. In addition, as the Good Shepherd Board Chair for almost a decade (now an Advisor) I want to thank you for the hours of love you have shown through your labor and supplies to put cars back on the road so that persons in our shelters would have transportation for work and other necssities of life. I know that you dont tell others of your "good works" but, you both are really "servants to others in need" and the homeless are very appreciative of your gifts... Your funds have helped us continue to expand our 6-steps to Self-sufficiency Program with even a better return than last year. As we continue our work in 2011 to help those in crisis, we wish to express our special thanks to you and your wonderful staff that have continued to support the mission of The Good Shepherd Alliance, for over a decade. Please continue to keep us in your prayers; Its so helpful for others to support us in this way too. The generosity which you have bestowed upon The Good Shepherd Alliance is a powerful message not opnly to the rest of the commuinity, but to others who take lifes gifts with often too much indifference. Seeing the progress of our many homeless back into the workforce is a turle blessing for all. As Jesus says "when you do it to the least of these Brethren, you have done it to me... " I know that you will continue to keep up the great work you have provided for so many over the years.

While there are plenty of good reviews here, I judge a shop on how well they do when something goes wrong or if they screw up on my car how they react to it. So I have two instances where they did screw up on my car and they handled it the same way and it was two different people. Nobody wanted to take responsibility for it even tho it is there in the paperwork that they screwed up. They took it as if it was my fault for letting them work on it, but they would be glad to fix the problem for a high cost. For example I have an older car and I took it in for an oil change, simple right. Well for some reason they decided to put in an oversized drain plug without telling me. So when I went in again to have the oil changed they told me that I cant change the oil because I would have to replace the entire oil pan to do so since the plug would pull out all the threads. I told them it was your fault for messing it up in the first place, his response was that he didnt have the tech who did the work and he wasnt the one that filled out the order, but he will be glad to set up an appointment to change the oil pan which would cost $700, and I wont be able to change the oil until I change the pan. This is not the first mechanic ive been to, normally when this kind of situation happened before the mechanic would try to fix it, but if it did needed to be replaced they would cover part of the cost give me discounts, etc, most of the time would cover the labor and I would pay for the part basically trying to make it right. These people didnt care at all, not even after I bought $500 worth of tires from them in the same day, and had previous work on the car for 4 years. My experience is unique but does give you an idea how the experience is on the other side. Normally they are very nice when they are trying to sell you something especially if its expensive, they are overpriced to begin with so they have to be nice. Just wait until something goes wrong with your car that they screwed up on and they have to fix it. Looks like ill be going back to Rockville to have my car repaired.

I patronized your shop for the first time yesterday, and found it to be a very impressive experience. I was treated with the utmost respect and everyone in your shop was extremely friendly and eager to assist in any way possible. I would like to point out one such employee in your shop in particular. Clint Dalton went out of his way to research whether or not I had to have certain repairs done on my car in order to pass inspection. In addition, when I returned to pick up my car a few hours later, I found him dealing with a female customer with a smile and a calm demeanor. it was only after I sat down and started chatting with a friendly elderly gentleman who patronizes your shop regularly that I found out that I had walked in on the end of a 37-minute excruciating dissection of this womans bill. I was amazed to see that he continued to have the calm composure and pleasant look on his face as if he had just begun speaking with this woman. That sort of professionalism is hard to find and should be recognized when displayed. Both due to the extreme professionalism shown by your employees, as well as the rave endorsements of the honesty and integrity of your mechanics by the elderly gentleman I had the pleasure of speaking with, I will continue to patronize your shop and will encourage others to do so as well.

Negative customer service. Told 1 hour to install 4 tires I brought myself. Came back in one hour car still sitting in parking lot. Asked the rude service advisor if it had been an hour and he said " no its been an hour and 4 min and then gave a smile. Nice!! Told it might be another hour or more. No thanks. Wife, newborn and dogs with me and wasted enough time. A call would have been nice to let me know.. also I guess its all who you know here while he was getting my keys a VIP came in and the had a open stall for him and his BMW with no delays. Called Manager and he could care less. No attempt to make it right. Cost Was quoted at $251.00 to install 4 tires I transported, unloaded and carried across the parking lot. In the end I have to thank these guys. After being blown off Costco unloaded installed, and disposed of my old tires and had me on the road in 45 min. Total cost $56.00 total. Now I will be taking my personal, and business vehicles to Costco for all my tire needs as well as referring all those who ask.
