This company has moved me several times but they arent the company that they used to be. My recent move was the worst. Our estimate was significantly different than the actual cost. Our credit cards were charged without authorization. Everything we owned was damaged. Nothing was wrapped or covered properly. They charged 18 hours for a move that a previous Able Moving and Storage team and JK Moving did in 5 hours. They requested 4 storage units when 2 units would have provided sufficient space. They smoked while carrying items which left ash burns on wood and upholstery. They played on the dollies, dropped and kicked boxes. They stacked heavy items, even lawn equipment, on top of fragile boxes and items. PLUS we were verbally attacked by the manager who also threatened to declare our items abandoned and refuse delivery if we did not pay in full in cash within 45 minutes even though the contract states payment is due at delivery. AND the moving team sexually harassed me based on my pregnancy and intentionally and recklessly endangered my high risk pregnancy. Inappropriate comments were overheard regarding my appearance and lack of physical ability to move quickly. The team laughed as they caused me to continuously get up and down and walk. They mocked and ridiculed my walking. Team members worked together to call me back and forth between the units, causing the most walking possible. I personally expressed to the team that I was a high-risk pregnancy and such actions posed a great risk to me and my baby. I showed Able Moving and Storage team members the excessive swelling developing in my legs, feet, and ankles. The EZ Storage management also addressed the team after witnessing me rush to the bathroom bleeding. The team also spoke directly to me in a rude, unprofessional, and offensive manner. They ignored my health warnings as well as my requests for the treatment and handling of my items. They made comments while laughing that my concerns were just my hormones. As I attempted to photograph damaged items and boxes, the team would run from me and were overheard telling each other to not allow me the opportunity to take photographs. The team members got irritated and defensive as I insisted on inspecting items that appeared damaged and told me that they could show me what real damage looks like. We finally settled the physical property damage claim almost 8 months after our items were delivered. We also filed a claim with Able Moving and Storage Customer Service Manager for the actions of the Able Moving and Storage team and management. The customer service manager claimed to be so upset by our situation that she cried and could not sleep. After reviewing all documentation and speaking to witnesses, the customer service manager admitted that Able Moving and Storage made many mistakes and that we did not have a good move and offered an apology. The customer service manager informed us that she was working on an additional settlement amount for this claim and even provided written confirmation that the settlement reached with the insurance company for physical property damage did not include this additional claim. However, as soon as the check from the insurance company was cashed, the customer service manager stopped returned my calls and we were contacted by an attorney that stated cashing the checks from the insurance company constituted final settlement of all claims.

My daughter and son-in-law moved from Linden, VA to Columbus, OH on August 15. They had contacted 4 different moving companies. Able was the most reasonable in price. The moving crew was great. It was a steady drizzle of rain, they had a long driveway to carry the furniture up to the van, but no one complained at all. They just worked efficiently and professionally. Wrapped everything so nothing was wet or damaged. Carried many boxes and heavy outside yard furniture to the van. It was a hard move, but they just keep working until everything was loaded on the van. Then four days later we were happy to see Allen, Leon and Sean driving up our street in Columbus. They unloaded the van in the same efficient way they had loaded it up. Set up all the furniture and helping us in anyway they could. When the van was unloaded and they drove away our entire family was standing on the sideway waving goodbye to these 3 men that had become our friends from Able Moving. We could not have ask for a better move than we had with Able Moving and Storage. Highly recommend then for any short or long haul moves you may have.

Our relatively small nonprofit utilized ABLE for our recent office move and could not be happier. Everything from the planning stages to completion was done with excellence by courteous, enthusiastic, and diligent professionals. This is not to say there were no hiccups along the way; however, ABLE stood behind their work and went above and beyond to resolve every issue we had which involved making corrections a filing system we had relocated, to making minor hardware repair on a furniture piece, and a repainting a scuff in the hallway wall that our former landlord called out. We even utilized them to hang all the international photography in our new office and they exhibited extreme patience while this project had to be tweaked on the fly and lasted a good deal longer, making every change we requested of them without complaint. This is an organization that clearly goes the extra mile and while giving you confidence that they will stand by their work. We highly recommend them for your office move.

Able was one of two firms referred to us by our real estate agents. Ables estimator exuded greater experience, and provided more insight and information on the mechanics of the move than did the one from the other firm. Ables estimate arrived within hours. It was comparable, maybe a bit higher, to the other, which didnt arrive for a couple of days. But the estimator had instilled confidence in Ables ability to handle all aspects of the move, which is a two-step process. And I liked the fact the firm is locally owned and operated, and takes care of its employees. I have so far not been disappointed. Moving the first batch of possessions to our other house and to storage went quickly and easily. The crew was terrific -- professional, almost overly polite, arrived early, was careful with our possessions, and dealt easily with any potential snafu. We have moved plenty over the years. This likely is our last one. Thank goodness, its in good hands. Couldnt be more pleased.

This was my first time using Able Moving. But as a retired military family, it was far from our first experience with moving companies. We had to move on short notice (7 days) and not only did Able work to meet our every need, they did it exceedingly better than any other moving company we have experienced. From the exceptional interaction with Shawn our sales rep, to direct interaction with Steve the COO but also the interaction with the entire crew that showed up on time, literally helped us take care of items we had completely forgot about and worked to ensure the entire home was in even better condition when they left. If Able Moving services the area(s) I am move to or from in the future, I will never use another Moving Company! They went out of their way to ensure the highest level of quality experience for our family. We are extremely grateful for their professionalism and superior service. The value was off the charts good!!
