Pods was supposed to deliver Friday Dec 30th, they called me Thursday Dec 29th to say they were going to be delayed till January 2nd. They said we will compensate you and open a comp plan which was supposed to cover lodging. I explained it was my wife, two daughters and dog so needed two rooms. They said yes sure no problem send receipts. Instead of renting two rooms I was able to find an Inn that was a suite with two rooms but due to New Year weekend prices on all hotels were high. Of course when it was time to pay guess what.. they said we are checking right now and the average room rate is 100$ per night and since I only had one receipt they could not honor as two rooms and the fact it was new years did not matter. I did not ask a return on anything else and only paid 35% of what it cost for the 5 nights I was stranded because of them. I also paid a fine to the crew that was going to unload the container. A total disappointment, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM!

Outstanding snd reliable from pickup to delivery. We have used PODS in the past. It is the only method guaranteed to take a lot of stress out of moving. You are in total control as to date of POD drop off - length of time you will need to load it and finally the day it it is to be picked up. This time around we encountered an issue with a drop off space being unavailable, the driver gave me his number and told us to call when we had secured one! Cost wise they are the best value, ease of moving items in an orderly fashion, rather than just having to deal with time constraints, no one compares. We hired some day workers to load and unload the heavy pieces and because of our having the time to pack up household and clothing ourselves they were able to be done in 2 hrs .

Check Consumer Affairs website before using this PODS location. They have been getting a lot of negative reviews lately (not delivering the POD when scheduled, not delivering the POD to the new location when scheduled, or at all, etc.). They were supposed to deliver my POD on Aug 12th, but instead called me on Aug 11th (the day my credit card was charged) and said that "due to a licensing issue" they would not be able to deliver my POD until the 20th. Youll see that other reviewers have been given the "licensing issue" excuse, whatever that means. So I called the corporate office and cancelled my POD. The lady I spoke with said my money should be refunded in about 3-4 days. As of Aug 29th Im still waiting for them to withdrawal the charge from my credit card.

So my POD should have been on the road to California from Virginia as of Sept. 5th well before the hurricane hit FL. It is due to be delivered to the California storage facility in Chino the 15th. Delivery to me on the 16th. I cannot contact them in ANY way! And, they have not contacted me either. There is no way my pod should have been affected by the storm because there was no reason to drive thru FL or anywhere near the storm. Unacceptable! I have set up movers, paid my rent, and I am left hanging.

The whole experience from start to finish was excellent! They were easy to work with and very professional. Having a portable storage space right outside my door made my move much easier. I was able to fill it at my own pace, have them take it away and store it until I was ready, and then delivered it at my new place. With all the benefits it gave me it was completely worth the price. I would recommend them to anyone starting on the moving process.
