HUGE waste of money. Two Guys and a Truck (now My Guys Moving) came recommended by co-workers, so I went with them instead of less expensive options. I would recommend them only if (1) you know absolutely no one in town who could help you move; (2) there are no other paid movers in town who are available to help you move; (3) you have no external time constraints relating to your move; and (4) you really dont mind paying a premium for below-average service. I would imagine that some (or maybe even many) online reviews are those of satisfied customers, but they do, in fact, offer a $25 rebate for posting a positive review after a move. Keep that in mind as you read other reviews. They did not arrive when scheduled, and they did not call us to let us know when they would arrive until they were already over an hour late. Ultimately, they arrived three hours later than originally scheduled. I unloaded a substantial amount of our things before they arrived. When the movers did arrive, I signed some contract and they made a point to say that they were in a service profession and that I could (read, "should") tip them. With respect to the movers, one was wearing a brace on his hand/wrist because of a recent gruesome injury and explained that he could not lift anything that was too heavy. (This mover was, however, the most personable of the three movers, and he tried to carry things on his shoulders or forearms. He was just not as able-bodied as he should have been as a professional mover.) Another mover complained over and again of how he had already done another move that morning. I caught these first two movers multiple times talking on their cell phones. The one that complained didnt even bother to try to hang up when I came around. The third mover did not complain (or say much of anything, really) and did a reasonably good job of staying busy. All three took a five minute smoke break every hour. They used our moving equipment because theirs was inferior. And they were generally slower than other movers that I have used in other towns. Ultimately, I did like a couple of the three movers just fine (less the smoke breaks and the cell phone interruptions). During the move, they carried a large piece of furniture up the stairs and damaged the drywall significantly (gouges and scratches) in the process. Other movers (and unpaid friends) have moved the same piece of furniture without damaging the furniture or our home. At the end of the job, they tried to charge me for their time including their 15+ minutes of smoke breaks, but they wrote that time off after being questioned. Despite my frustration with the experience, I tipped them, in cash (as they requested), out of a sense of obligation based on their initial outright request for a tip. One of the movers then suggested that I tip more so that their tip would be more easily divisible by three. After they left, they came back around the block and honked at our house until I came out. The driver hollered at me, "How much did you give us to split up?" I told him, and they drove off again. It was bizarre. I called the company on Monday to ask about having our wall repaired. I explained that we had a painter coming that week, and if I could get a claim approved in time, I could get the painter to fix the movers damage as well. I was told to submit the estimate and they would tell me if it was approved. A week and a half after I submitted my estimate (and long after our painter was done with the job at our house), we received a letter saying that we would be required to pay the first $500 as a deductible toward any repairs. Apparently that was in the contract that I initialed/signed when the movers showed up. The estimate was for less than $500, so they effectively have disclaimed liability for the damage done to our home. I wish that I would have accepted friends offers to help move. I went with "professional" movers because I thought they could handle our larger furniture better than "amateurs." I thought wrong.

If you care about your furniture and the quality of service DO NOT use this company. I only hired them based on a previous experience when we moved from Leesburg to Richmond. However the Richmond based company was a total disaster. First, after I agreed to the price, they called three hours later and told me that it is going to be higher. Then I asked for the owner to come to the house and give me an estimate, so that I will avoid unpleasant surprises. The owner, Dave, said it was not necessary. I told him that the last move was done in two days but he assured me that the move will take one day… On the day of the move, we had 4 guys who were extremely slow and when I expressed a concern, they told me that I am not paying by the hour. One guy kept telling me that it is going to cost me twice as much. I was so stressed out; I called and spoke to Nancy and she told me that I will be paying according to the weight. I said that this was not explained to me properly and she said that we had too many boxes. I said that we moved all of our books and most of our boxes ourselves and though there were a few additional boxes over the estimated amount, it was NO WHERE near double the weight. Well, by 4 PM the guys loaded the truck but the grill and two shelves did not make it. They also told me that they will overnight the truck and will drive to Leesburg the following day. We did not expect this. Now we are without a place to overnight and two dogs in a back seat. I expressed my concerns to Nancy. She said that the truck will need to be weighed and I asked my husband to follow the guys to the station. When he came back he said that he had to ask the guys to do it twice, because the first time all of the crew was on board which added, at least 800 pounds to the weight. Then Nancy held my belongings hostage because I refused to pay the difference. She told me that my furniture will not be delivered unless I pay for the move right away. The following day the movers started around 10 am and unloaded the furniture by 4 PM. They broke and damaged several pieces, and the saddest of all, our very expensive cook wear was stolen from the truck. The boxes were not counted as they should have been. We were so upset and stressed and the only compassion the company offered was a claim form which we have submitted a month ago and still awaiting with no response.

Unprofessional and stressful is the best way to sum up this experience. Our movers were loud and hollering the entire time - often from the third to the first floor or down a hallway, or at me directly while on a phone call. They made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed and like I was going to get in trouble from the property manager. They treated our items like they were trash, and carelessly tossed boxes around, placed them upside down, and put them in the incorrect rooms even with clear color coded labels on each. They asked me to leave and go buy them specific snacks, soda, and gatorades. They dragged our plastic bins down entire concrete hallways. The head mover reminded me several times how important tipping is. He also described several fights and issues hes had in the past in working with clients. They damaged multiple furniture pieces and did not securely put pieces back together. They left several items shrink wrapped. One crew member was smoking while carrying our couch cushions. They left our apartment completely messy. They complained the entire day about having to do a third floor move. I was stressed and nervous the entire time because I was so scared of them destroying my property, but also because I was so uncomfortable and scared to even say anything to them. I literally almost cried when they finally left because I was so stressed and upset. I understand that this was a difficult move given all the stairs involved, but this was by far the worst moving experience of my entire life. Moving is inherently a stressful process, but a good moving crew will help reduce that stress by making you feel like your belongings are in good hands. I did not feel that way at all. I really should have researched more and looked at more reviews, and I urge you to do the same. I deeply regret choosing this company for my move.
