DO NOT LET THEM CLEAN YOUR HOUSE. ALL THESE OTHER "GREAT" REVIEWS ARE BOGUS!!!!! They use only dollar store products i.e. Mr. Clean all Purpose cleaner and Furniture Polish for your stainless steel. They sent an inexperienced person to clean a 2600 sq. ft. house for 4 hours and it did not even look like anything had been done. I told the owner Todd that my tenant had moved out and it was dirty. I told him everything had to be done especially the floors needed to be mopped. I told Todd that I had a slate floors, wood and tile only floors. He never told me I had to provide a mop or cleaning products for the floors. I went and purchased a mop and vinegar so the maid could mop the floors and she ran out of time and said she needed another hour which I paid for and she still DID NOT mop the floors, not one room. The faucets, drains, shower had calcium deposits, grime and residue all over them. They basically "WIPE" things down real fast and that is it. The freezer and inside of the fridge were not cleaned as well as the dishwasher, stove and stove glass top, drawers under the microwave, outside of the cabinets were not touched. I paid $214 for what?? I dont even know what she did, I guess a fast wipe down of certain things. I think she used AJAX on my granite countertops or used the same sponge or something since I founder white dusty granules on my Uba Tuba granite in the bathroom. I called the owner to tell him all of this and he sent 2 girls out for another hour to try to rectify the situation (he had told them they could only be there an hour). They did not want to be there and there was no way they could rectify what wasnt done in an hour. So I was left really with an hours work after it was all said and done. I called the owner to tell him I was going to leave a bad review and he became extremely angry and started talking over me as I was trying to explain what the problem was, Todd (the owner) then told me he was going to bill me for another Hour and a Half, I then said, "Whatever". The owner NEVER told me that I had to provide certain cleaning products or floor cleaning products or bleach or Goo Gone or anything that was needed. A Move Out cleaning means cleaning the whole house correctly so that when other tenants move in they are not grossed out. I have uploaded the pics to prove what I have said here, hopefully they will be reviewed and excepted soon. You have to spend money to make money "Todd," DOLLAR GENERAL STORE products dont make the cut. I chose this company over all the "GREAT BOGUS REVIEWS" just as another review a page back states. Please report your experiences on here and to the BBB (better business bureau) so that this scam artist business owner stops.

First, for what they charged us, we should have gotten two people... They only sent one. Second, they assured us the house would be cleaned within the agreed upon time frame and it wasnt. We ended up paying for two additional hours and then I had to go around and clean all of the spots that were missed. This included much of the base trim, the tops of the bathtubs and where the carpet met the walls. They did not clean the cabinets in our kitchen, or the counters and haphazardly cleaned the windows and toilets. I dont know what kind of cleaning standards they have, but they are obviously nowhere near where my standards of clean are. Not only would I never use this maid service again, but I would never recommend it to anyone. In fact, I went with Mid-Atlantic Maids because they had so many great reviews here. However, if you go back a little in time, you can see all the previous negative reviews. I have a sneaking suspicion that the recent positive reviews are fixed. Also, the rates listed in the details section of the place page are not the rates I was given. Apparently, I paid an inflated price for subpar cleaning. Shame on me. I surely wont make the mistake again! Overall, I feel like this company is dishonest and pricey, which is definitely a bad combination for the customer. To be fair though, I just want to note that I never expressed my discontent to the owner. I didnt feel it was worth it since we were a one time cleaning. You would think they would have done a better job if they wanted the potential to clean for us again in the future. Who knows, maybe I just got a bad one and its not normally like that. Still, I find it odd that there are so many negative reviews from the past and then all of a sudden they turn stellar. Just sayin...

We have been customers of MidAtlantic Maid since July 2003 receiving their service on the same day every two weeks. We dont know exactly when they are coming on that day, but a quick call to Todd gets a very accurate arrival time (within an hour). The people weve had clean our house have done a more than adequate job almost every time. When they dont, a call to Todd and they dont come back. (Weve only had to do that once in 7 years!) They are also accomodating when you are out of town re rescheduling either right before or right after you are gone. (My contract calls for a cleaning every two weeks). If you are out of town for two weeks (and on a two week schedule like me), you will still pay for the missed cleaning (thats on your contract). However, our rate has not gone up in nearly 7 years. Even only a modest 3% increase would have cost me the equivalent of almost 17 cleanings (a 5% increase would be 32 cleanings). I can afford paying for one I dont get for that money!!

Todd and his team have been cleaning my homes since 2000 and are efficient, friendly and professional. They do a great job, accomodate any special needs and are very good with my pets. My hardwood floors always look fantastic, granite is specially cleaned and the team goes the extra mile to do little things like you expect at a hotel. It is always a pleasure to come home every other week when I know that my home will be neat and clean. I have gotten to know several of the service crew and Todd is like family by now. I have and would continue to recommend this service. I depend on them, have never had any complaints or issues and know that my home is in good hands. They even bring my trash receptical back from the street, make up the beds beautifully and pick up a kazillion pet toys. Good value and great service by nice people.

I have used this service every other week for five months. During this time I have had to request that someone come back twice. And a few times the cleaning was simply okay and no call was made. As I put it to the owner, I felt like a teenager was told they couldnt meet their friends until their chores were done. Thats the kind of cleaning I was getting. I was about to call to have yet another cleaning redone, when I figured it was ridiculous to have go through this routine. There are so many good housecleaners out there. The owner never asked why I was canceling his service, and was less than professional. Also, be aware of their cancelation policy. I opted to not have them come for the last date and am simply sending them a check. Thats how poor this business is.
